  1. If you honestly watched this video and don't agree with any of his points it only proves your incompetence. I thought there would be some i disagree with, but they were all VERY basic, must knows, for any pvp'er. Sorry but there isn't an alternative option to what this guy shows as mistakes.

    Is SWTOR dying?

Oh wow this is the most awkward thing I have read today. I wonder when the penny will drop and this guy will realise what an idiot he was.
  3. Sadly, I have to agree with you. It's amazing how many bad players stream on twitch. Within about a minute of watching his video I saw him use his expensive AOE on a single target, and a complete lack of strafing. In fact, I suspect he doesn't even know what that is. I almost was waiting for some backpedaling to happen. He literally walks up to the enemy and stands in front of them until the move. It was painful to watch. The only person who was good that I saw was the healer keeping him up constantly, but I don't know if I would want to stream a video when I am clearly been carried by my teammates. I wouldn't have said anything, but clearly this is a pretty arrogant individual, however the basis for said arrogance has to be questioned. On the other hand, I think it is absurd to say Shadow or Pyrotech are better. Having played both I prefer Pyrotech, but the Shadow has way more utility I can't deny. But the pyro has amazing range so it's a tradeoff.
  4. It's ranked warzones therefore going in you know you are going up against people who want to be the best of the best. Part of wanting to be the best of the best is having a good team, and thus a good pvp guild. If you can't deal with that then don't join ranked warzones. Personally, I'm ecstatic the way things are. By the time the puggers get to join I would have full War Hero gear plus all my augments. I'll feed you to my dogs.
  5. Roxax, it gets a LOT harder once you hit 50. I found it very easy pre 50. So I just don't think your opinion is valid post 50.
  6. LOL. Oh yes well I'm sure at lvl 22 you have an in depth understanding of your class as is evident by the fact that you say you constantly use maul, then when your called out on it as a bad pvp'er, you claim you are no longer using maul but it is just an opener. But then didn't you say in 2-3 mauls they are dead. Your obviously young, and have not played much before, and now your in some good gear at lvl 22 your feeling a sense of achievement (good for you), but you need others to know how good you feel about yourself and because your slightly socially inept you think posting posts like this is a good way to achieve it. Well well done little man, well done indeed!!!!!
  7. Assassins and Shadows often top the damage charts....of course they are the ones that know what they are doing. How many times can you say 'Im not having fun' in a thread. I'm suspicious that you are fully trolling. Thirdly, you don't like how in the lower pvp bracket people are somewhat equalised. Why? Because it's about skill and not gear? This would suggest that you are not very good at pvp and rely on out gearing people to win....also why you like WOW. This and the fact that you can't do well as an Assassin only leads me to believe you expect the game to compensate for your ineptness.
  8. It is frustrating playing tank and guarding healers that seem completely oblivious to the fact you are protecting them by CCing and taunting anyone who comes close to them, and of course the guard. So when healers, and tanks start to cotton on to the fact that they need each other life will be much better. Personally I think healers should be squishy because that gives tanks a spot in WZs. Keep that damn healer alive!
  9. The OP obviously feels passionate about Vanguards/Pyrotech's and for good reason. I certainly have nothing I can do to stop them as a Sage. Shadows, Marauders, Guardians I can control and win, or at least get away, more often than not. But Vanguards just do such high damage and you can't escape them due to their range and pull. I find these guys infuriating to say the least. I have come to realise though that this just may be the natural enemy of the Sage, and so my tactic is to keep the hell away from them. If they turn around and look at me I duck behind a pillar or something. And if I see one in a group I focus on them hard until they die, or they see me where I revert to the hide behind the pillar tactic (or flee). Sometimes it's better to be a live coward then a dead hero.
  10. It's English with a capital E, and it's their not there.
  11. Totally agree quiters suck. The only positive thing is that most of the time they suck and occasionally are replaced by a much better player, which results in the game been turned around. It happens....but not often. Regardless, quiters should be blocked for 15 mins I agree.
  12. I liked your criticisms but what are you trying to achieve by starting off with saying this....
  13. Well when I target someone with my dots they certainly die if they don't pay attention to me. Even if they cleanse it that is a wasted GCD and I will have four dots on them at any given time. If they disengage I have enough control over them that they can't simply run away. If they try to take me on I can usually kite them effectively. Just because the damage isn't bursty doesn't make it inefficient? If a healer is continuously cleansing my dots then they are not healing, which also helps.
  14. You can get plenty of burst from Balance too if played right. I usually top the dmg charts too so I don't have a problem.
  15. As I said go Balance you get all the control and plenty of dps. You just need to know when to use the dots, the CC's and the interupts. If you go TK you will get killed faster because you don't have so many instant casts.
  16. Sorcs may suck but sages are awesome!!!! But seriously, Sages have the best control in the game except for maybe Guardians. You can root and snare people even when resolve capped. You may not hit as hard but it is possible to keep the jedi's away from you 99% of the time, then when they do get to you use your stun, force lift or sprint. You should also be slowly kiting them towards your teammates so they are now all alone and you have friendlies who will go and finish them as well, and if they decide to run then you have free casting on them. It' can be done. Go Balance/Madness.
  17. Go balance. You can control the field very well because you have a root and a snare on low CD's. So even if you don't do the most damage you can really control people which is very helpful
  18. I would rather have the control that I have as a sage than have a finisher. We have so many roots, snares, and CC's we can keep players controlled for a long time. Don't need a finisher just keep them away from you and dwindle them down.
  19. Yes I guess it depends on how you want to approach a problem. Do you want to use reason and rational thought to resolve the problem or base decisions on how you feel. Humans have a cognitive cortex for a reason I believe, and emotions are just so primal. lol.
  20. I think arguing that an animal eating something for hunger is equivalent of peace is wrong. My definition of peace is when we don't wage war with each other. I wouldn't call a wolf hunting it's prey war. However, to say that animals don't play with their food is completely wrong. Orca are well known for this as are a number of other animals. But they call this 'play'. I have a PhD in animal behaviour and evolution. Natural selection is not kind and definitely gets rid of the weak and sick. However, it also promotes altruism among animals that live in groups. Social animals will do better, and do, if they show more altruistic behaviours towards their fellow comrades. This is very anit-Empire I think. So its not as simple as saying natural selection is survival of the fittest and leave it at that. My two cents. ps- my reply was also to the person you quoted so Im not arguing against you in all points.
  21. I agree. A sith is not a master of his emotions but a slave. When they feel angry the go with it - how is that mastering your emotions?
  22. I think it is cool that you did this.... BUT I disagree in terms of the playstyle. I would not call Vanguard a ranged class as it does most of it's dmg within 10m. I think the benefit of Vanguard is you can kite melee classes by creating distance, and you can melee ranged classes. However, you really do find yourself getting into the fray a lot more. With Commando I am very much a run and gun spec. I NEVER stand still and cast and if thats what your doing then you are doing it wrong!!!! If you go up the right hand tree most casts are instant and it creates an extremely mobile class (the most mobile in the game). However, people have different playstyles and will utilise a class differently. I think its great that you post such content so people can agree or disagree but someone wanting to reroll gets a good sense of what they can and can't do with the class!
  23. This is probably the most fairest MMO when it comes to a lowbie fighting someone of lvl 40. I really have no idea why you think it needs to be changed. Below lvl 20 I was consistently doing really well in terms of dmg and was taking on people of much higher levels and winning. If you are losing then kite back to your team mates for them to help you. Im sorry but I really feel this is not an issue with the game but more you need to develop a better playstyle.
