  1. More PVE screwing in the name of PVP. As is Jugg tanks didn't suck hard enough.
  2. Your Offhand has a base accuracy of 77% (67 for FoB) so raising it to never miss is not really possible (aside from during Illegal mods) the offhand however deals reduced damage. I remember some older threads somewhere where regarding the accuracy and such where the damage of Snipers (MH only class) and Gunslingers are even on a long term scale but Gunslingers have more fluctation in damage (both pistols hitting hits a bit harder than a sniper rifle shot and OH missing is slightly weaker)
  3. So if you do a multi month sub plan you get them every 3 or 6 months?
  4. Actually its two pieces for 8 man and I assume 4 for 16.
  5. Really the whole idea of the mission is stupid. Unique and orginal, but stupid. If you look at general chat in Section X its mostly "Need Healer for 4 man!" because questing as a healer sucks (you kills things not heal them to death) and frankly having enough gear/understanding my class well enough to chew through the place like a fat kid through a box of twinkies only to be stopped at a gate and then have to bring in players that "Derp, I leap through the beam" is just rage inducing.
  6. Is this normal? Last night running Op IX he does his color deletion thing on the shadow (purple) and I (orange) run to the designated spot with him. It them fires off both our deletion shields. It also anytime someone touched another player (even during the musical chairs phase) they would both fire off their deletion shields.
  7. The reason for Agents (and Troopers) is because each of those classes has an advanced class that wields a 'bigger' weapon that needs to be held differently than its counterpart AC with the smaller weapon. And since the animations for cinematics are based on your base class and no AC they gave them pistols as a workaround.
  8. No. They're class specific. Its something to buy and send to a lowbie alt.
  9. Cookie cutter answer: For DPS specs (other than sage/sorc) 10% accuracy (110% force/tech accuracy) ~76% Surge ~30% Crit
  10. WTB 2 Skill Barrel 26. Mats + Tip Republic: Fast'Eddie Imperial: Garenth (will try to log into him more often to keep track)
  11. Agreed on all points. Folks have been ************ about this since launch. Fix it.
  12. Seen the issue on Dromand Kaas and Alderaan but switching instances fixed Alderaan. Voss seems to work fine.
  13. If you planet has multiple instances, switching appears to help.
  14. Hazmat Mender Mk 1 system is exactly the same as the Mk2.
  15. This is probably why the huge derp moment in Black Talon STILL has not been resolved despite putting in a ticket every time I run it.
  16. PVP progression involves you being a punching bag when you're on the bottom rung. PVE Progression takes longer as you don't start your carreer wiping on appropiate mobs. (Barring stupidity)
  17. Also ranks right up there with stealth scan for "Useless in PVE"
  18. I stand corrected then. Did some quick math last night and guess I was off on the both weapons critting damage. Figured it'd come out to within a negligible difference since its a .1 average damage difference between a pair of 61 pistols and a 61 sniper rifle
  19. Previous poster is correct on the first Cunning augs are best augs. While we do benefit from accuracy over 110% (moreso than snipers) the other stats (especially power) are more of a benefit.
  20. Ahem... http://i.imgur.com/BJ5hX.png This is not a crafted knife. This is a quest reward knife from (I think) Saving Face. I added an augment kit (mk1 since I'm level 14 and an armormech) As for the 30% more accuracy it helps flatten the wider variance of damage during that brief period. A string of misses during Ill. Mods can easily lose you a few thousand damage. Rifles hit harder than mainhand pistols 486.5 average on a sniper rifle vs 405.5 on a pistol 30% damage from offhand pistol at 2/3 accuracy averages out to 486.6. However to get the equivilant of a Sniper rifle crit we need both shots to hit and both to crit so the 30% more accuracy flattens our damage line. Without it, the sniper would be supieror because he is always hitting during TA and reaping full benefit from the extra armor pen. The gunslinger is reaping about 68.4 (I'm 1.4% over the acc cap) of the armor penetration since I'm still missing about 1/3 of my offhand shots. Also if the "Because you dual wield" was a valid arugement then you need to look at BH's since the pyrotech mainhand pistol has reflex 26.
  21. So if its reading your skill tree to determine your role how is it going to address guardians/juggernaut tanks when the current 'best' tank spec is a hybrid?
  22. Ignore the TC. The super hardcore will plow through this stuff and scream for MOAR no matter what. No matter how fast you shovel content out for these types its never enough.
  23. I play PVE Gunnery and Combat Medic 1. Commando has a bit of a rep as the "easy" class (some of it well deserved) with its ease of leveling (class comes front loaded with several abilities that screw over non strong mobs early on). They pick up their "screw you, trash pack" ability as a base class at level 10 (granted it has been nerfed for whatever unfathomable reason) whereas smugglers get it at level 48 and sages in the mid 30s 2. Starts out really strong but starts to fall behind in later levels/content. Class is severely lacking in utility and even some abilities that you question the use (Explosive round, but more of a general trooper problem there). The class REALLY needs an interrupt, especially with content coming out that requires the use of one or more interrupters. Also a minor request but I'd like to see SCC cells allow the casting of HiB just to make questing as a medic trooper a little easier since only Dorne and Yunn have on dots and your abilities that allow you cast HIB either have a long cooldown (Stun/CC)or a high ammo cost (Plasma grenade)
