  1. K'eiran - Shadow - 8/2/36 - 4090 AMR Purely average crit rate, but I managed to screw up my rotation on the next 3 parses so it'll have to do for now
  2. Anyone know when the questions are due to be answered? Can't find it in the dev threads
  3. Nice necro For dread forged the final verdict was between 170-200 points of crit, 2 accuracy augments, and 564 surge. Haven't done anything with dread master stat pools, but so far the value of crit has increased as the stat budget rises, so draw your own conclusions from that (only my tank runs NiM)
  4. K'eiran - Shadow - Balance - 8/2/36 - 3397 Parse Gear Just can't quite break 3.4k
  5. Time to get some Balance Shadows back on the board K'eiran - Shadow - 8/2/36 - 3270 - 1m TorParse: http://www.torparse.com/a/590505/time/1392448245/1392448550/0/Overview AMR: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/45b2b1d7-cab1-48c5-8f03-428fcc9f4cad
  6. I thought you couldn't get the good enhancements from comms, but I see them now. Only on one vendor, so I wonder if that's intended? Oh well, whenever I can manage to scrounge up 120 ult comms I'll give it a shot
  7. Did some playing around with alacrity in the spreadsheet and got some interesting results. For the most part, swapping alacrity in to be even with surge gave the best theoretical dips. This in turn devalued crit, going back to full power. I changed the ability activations to a percentage instead of a hard number in order to allow alacrity the ability to inject extra ability activations via a reduced GCD. Not sure if this is this is the correct way to go about it, but I used the formula NewGCD = 1.5 / (1 - AlacrityPercent) and then used the reduced GCD to find the new number of ability activations. I based that off the cast time reduction formula, but am unsure if the same formula applies to GCD reduction. Overall, it resulted in about a 75 dps gain. Whether those gains could be actualized by players using a reduced GCD and not clipping DOTs is a whole different story though. I'd be interested to see if people with access to enough gear to swap out could produce similar results
  8. Ultimately, the goal with a balance shadow is sustained dps, not necessarily burst damage, so I don't think we should gear in anticipation of crit spikes. Rather, gear for the averages (just my own philosophy)
  9. That's a big improvement. Still haven't gotten my formulae updated to take alacrity into account, will play around with it when I get home from work.
  10. It's an interesting point you bring up about alacrity on the gear. I didn't even think to include it in my original calculations since "everyone knows alacrity sucks for non-casters" That being said, would alacrity throw off the 18-second rotation balance has by decreasing the time of a GCD, or be more of a QoL thing to combat lag? I'll work on getting the stat formula added to the spreadsheet; it won't fit in the way I have it set up now with a rotation. Mychar, if you get a good sample size of parses with alacrity I think I can use your ability activation numbers to try and figure it out. As far as the bugged relics go, I think that's definitely a possibility. Increased crit = increased self-heals = more relic procs. It's my understanding though the bug was fixed on the dread forged level and only exists only on KD and below...right?
  11. Haha, yeah I remember you mate. Small world we live in! Just moved to a new place and trying to get Internet hooked up, but I should be on this weekend. I'll look you up when I log on!
  12. Sure did. Life events kinda forced me away from the game for awhile, but I'm back on pretty regular now. Was a pretty good guild back in the day, but I don't think it's still around
  13. Aelanis, sharing access granted. No, I didn't average the relics in, need to take a look at that. As far as the rotation goes, I think assuming a "perfect" rotation is the best way to optimize it. Any imperfections would most likely be different from fight to fight. Obviously no run through will be perfect and mind Crush procs won't be the same, but a standard rotation should allow everything to average out in the end. With the execute, I took the last 30% of time in the parse and substituted a spinning Strike for every other double Strike
  14. 3700 is just a high-ball number. I'm at 3200 wp stimmed and buffed and in a mixture of 72/78. I didn't think to check the AMR profiles, just threw out a number to see what higher levels of Willpower with better gear than mine would do.
  15. After adjusting the secondary stat budgets to full dread forged levels with a base Willpower of 3000, which after augments, stim, and buffs is ~3700, I'm getting an optimal crit level of ~120. I don't know if that starting level of Willpower is correct, but even if it's a little low the optimal crit level doesn't rise above 150 for some time at the dread forged level
