  1. I wouldn't report either, simply because it doesnt solve the problem, it only massages your ego, because if you knew anything about MMO's is that there will be always people buying stuff from third party websites. It has been like that since Diablo 2. I wouldn't risk a friendship or even my guild accomodation simpy because the company lacks the spine to deal with its issues accordingly. If bioware lacks the testicular fortitude to get rid of bots and exploits in a reasonable time frame, people will simply show the same kind of care they are given. Buying credits from botters is just one way to do this. I'm not saying that buyers aren't rid of guilt, but they wouldn't be so many if the game took fast measures against issues affecting its economy.
  2. It's really simple... just do the math real quick. People complaining here means they have an active sub. If they have an active sub, they care enough about the game to pay for it. If you are paying for it, it doesnt always mean you are 100% satisfied with the product you are receiving. Hence why people complain: they want to improve their experience pointing out the flaws and shortcomings of the game and/or its developer. Your post is basically complaining about complainers. In the end, you are complaining too, about something even more silly.
  3. Your comeback is understandable, because he touched a nerve, didnt he? Its okay to admit you have a gambling addiction, even if very mild... nobody here is telling you how to spend your money, they are just pointing out the outcomes of spending copious amounts of money into fluff.
  4. Dont know the population of your server but on harbinger should have a higher demand for top tier items since the playerbase is higher than average. I followed almost the entire day today on gtn watching the new hypercrate prices and any of them listed below 40m were selling. Not only once I could find over a half dozen of them listed. Thats why people are listing the new lightsabers for like a hundred million credits. Soon in this game it will feel like you are buying a house with India or Vietnam currency when buying a cup of coffee..
  5. It is a two front war: in one front, you have bioware selling cartel coins and packs with ridiculously low droprates on interesting content they might have. on the other hand you have botters selling credits as low as .60/million. poor droprates are causing inflation of many sought items, like the new lightsaber for example. How much is the new hypercrate price? Like 2k cartel coins? How much is that, like 15-20 bucks at least? I really dont follow prices on cartel stuff so correct me if im wrong. Botters selling 30 million credits (cheapest price I could find today on harb for one new hypercrate) for about 18 bucks give or take. Considering the approach from bioware at this point when it comes about cm hypercrates and their ~platinum~ items is to simply devalue credits to a point where bots cannot compete with cartel coins anymore. They are fighting a war with bots where the only ones who got something to lose are the players. In the end, its always going to be the whales and bots manhandling the market sanctioned by bioware, simply because they are fomenting inflation.
  6. This. The result wouldnt be any different by adding a ridiculously low droprate for desireable items. Their greed is making them short term money, instead of taking a more reasonable approach to it and incite people to buy their stuff. I will never spend cartel coins to buy hypercrates, because we all know how much trash they come with.
  7. Except that hundreds of bots will do it way, way, waaay faster than a regular player with no downtime and will actually make a profit from it and to add injury to the insult they cheapen legit players efforts by inflating prices with easily acquired currency.
  8. Its probably because of the torrent installer/downloader I suppose.. its beyond me why they didnt trash that thing yet.
  9. Overpowered or not, it gets old after awhile. If they just cant fix it, just remove the ability to buff them. It would be less tormenting.
  10. Beware, people living in denial will ask you for proof that they are doing any sort of exploit by standing in front of a vendor without moving for one month straight.
  11. 1000cc for server transfers are a bad move no matter how you spin it considering a few points: - in game server selection screen does not show the population of servers anymore (thus, alienating new players); - many servers with population issues, many people not looking forward to dump 2 months of cartel coin stipends when they could be using their money to actually buy things they like and want; - the cartel shop almost always have products with high discounts and in my point of view some of those prices are more realistic when they are heavily discounted. For instance, the server transfers; - if they are not willing to merge servers for whatever reasons may be, there is no reason to send the bill to the players if they want to play on active servers. If you enjoy playing on a wasteland, more power to you - I am sure there will always be a server or two being the case (probably the servers where people against the idea are playing) but if your reason to be against it is simply because you will feel ripped off in any way, you should just be smarter with your money before spending it.
  12. Many posts explaining the whole situation and yet many people still seem to not understand (or they pretend not to). If you are frustrated by how they ended OWPvP (aka ganking and being a douche in 90% of situations), there is a few plausible reasons for it: 1. You are playing on a PvE server and you should be playing on a PvP server. I would say it is working as intended. "But there is nobody playing OWPvP on my PvP server" Your server is most likely: - Dead (as a PvP server, the remaining few are looking to transfer or they are simply not interested in PvP), 2. Bioware simply responded with a measure to condense the playerbase to the type of game they are interested in - if you ended with the short stick, it mostly shows how little interest people have to the OWPvP focus of this game. 3. Considering this game never had a strong suite when it comes about OWPvP and its engine, also taking in consideration the direction the game adopted from the get go, this should not be a surprise. Honestly, if you enjoy mmo pvp, there are better games around focused on that. You just need to accept the fact that pvp was never strong enough in this game to justify a change of course from the direction they are taking the game currently. You simply will have to live with the fact that you cannot kill players against their will to participate in PvP anymore.
  13. They might ask anything related to your account. Never contacted support via phone but I would suppose the most basic information would be required.
  14. Although this list isnt really exclusive to marauders, I am certain that its easily the class with the most newbish/retarded players. Its rare for me to point out and say that I played with a good player as one of them.
  15. I am on harbinger and I play as dps for the most part on hms. The que times may vary, depending on the time of the day and day of week. Today, I think I did not get to wait for over 30 minutes to get the invite. Sometimes it may take over 1 hour if its a low population time.
  16. Yep, loot was nerfed to a certain degree for sure. I came back after a few years away, one month before kotfe launched and I remember I could actually get a few decorations from world mobs and a bunch more gifts and orange items. After that, a lot of stuff simply vanished - probably a result of level sync and the need to counter botting. In any case, the normal trash loot we get is what it is, pure trash. No more surprises while questing as it is currently.
  17. Let us just think for a moment... - this game has hacks present since launch; - sometimes it takes them several weeks to work around severe exploits affecting the game and its playerbase; - there are certain bugs present for years What makes you think they have the manpower and will to work around bugfixes when this game is ran by a skeleton crew and most of their efforts revolves around cartel market items? Yeah, not being too optimist here, but that is reality for you.
  18. News flash: That feature is long gone buddy. You can just add friends or even strangers to your battle.net account and chat with them regardless of faction or blizzard game they are playing.
  19. Simple way to fix this - create a way for people add friends by their legacy and make it effect account wide. There are so many missed opportunities with the legacy feature it is not even fun.
  20. My two cents... I get it that achievements are part of the game, that many people are way too focused on grabbing small amounts of points for whatever reason. To me, unless you get rewarded by actually completing them (like a title, surname or whatever else), its a waste of time, pretty much like everything else in the game. In fact, achievements are made to be time consuming and at certain levels even requires a group of people to do them. What you are asking is to simply have your work cut off for you because it is time consuming and you simply will not take your time to do them, requiring the developers to undo what they did to older content only to serve this purpose. So yeah, I do not think they will revert the level sync changes because there is no purpose for them do to so.
  21. The only reason why you play this game is because it has star wars slapped on it. Remove the brand and ask yourself if you would be playing it the same way. If you think WoW is absolute ****, then you have no business in saying this game is any better than that, because almost everything they do over there is probably better developed than what they do here.
  22. OP, did you miss the memo? The game is now called "Star Wars: The Dressing Game" No worries though, "Star Wars: The Sims Edition" is coming next year!
  23. Yes, I am sure they love their whales alright. However, if they are solely relying on cartel market whales to get their income (as it is suggested), this game is gonna be ruined even faster than I think. I mean, take a look at these monthly packs. It is pretty much printing money for little effort.
  24. Its crystal clear they made Pierce and forex gated because pvp needs fodder to appease their audience. The problem is, I am not going to serve as sacrificial lamb for others because the devs want me to. I am not going to waste my time gearing to perform better for content that I am not interested to do, so no, you can keep them.
  25. Wishful thinking. Why would you think they will add cross servers to this game when they can't even figure out how to fix long dated lingering bugs and issues? I really would like they could do that, but if you could only imagine the constant mess it would come in tow...
