  1. Good news for me is that I do not have to spend money to renew my sub for now, which will probably go to their major concurrent. Bad news is, it seems that I will have to wait another year to get some interesting stuff to do. Anyway... 8 days left on sub and a few hundred million credits left.. maybe I should buy some hypercrates and let them rot until then... what are the odds that I will be screwed up by them if I come back? lol...
  2. Actually, his post is pretty accurate. Playing on harbinger, you can already see the decline of players in lower level planets and the population of group content as well (flashpoints, pvp and ops taking much longer). You can deny all you want, but the flame is burning out, fast. In a month or two, I expect harbinger to be facing the same issues again just like before the "expansion''.
  3. I think what he means is that he does not enjoy being screwed over by technicalities and absent information, especially if it involves real money spent. When I want to waste my money in the hopes of being millionaire, I play the federal lottery for that. When I buy a pack of mentos fruit, I expect to get all flavours announced there, not 10 out of 12 candies lemon flavoured and 2 of pineapple.
  4. That is not how it works, boy... I kept my end of the bargain, been subbed since last september nonstop - for the story, mostly. I am not going to pay another 2 months of subscription to simply get access to what I was supposed to have included in my current sub time. I kept subbed this whole time based on the premise of a monthly release, therefore I expect to be compensated for the delay, the excuses matters not. I am simply pointing out that I am going to get what I expect from this announcement, regardless. In any case, while your post is right, that I do indeed not care that much about my account, it makes no sense: if I walk away, as you say, might as well get what I should be getting anyways. If I really cared that much, I would pay another 2 months for it (bimonthly method for my country) without questioning. It is not about the money. Last time I had to call customer support and the call taxes cost me a month of sub. It is just a matter of principle. Hence why I said "I am holding them to it". Besides, being a "new player" is cool nowadays anyway, right? Plenty of slots to fill up.
  5. Here is the deal, chief: I will hold you to that. My sub will run out in 11 days. I will come back for this next chapter without a sub running to see if I will get access to it. I usually do not pay my sub with a credit card. If by any chance I do not get the access to the last chapter when it is released during the early access, I will gladly sub again using my credit card, play the chapter and then proceed to charge back the sub. That is how much I care.
  6. If this is about his first post on this thread, I gotta say he put a whole more heart on that in comparison to the fickle arguments people are using to justify the shortcomings of this game. He does have a lot of valid points to the way they approached the playerbase with this update and I would take a few notes if I were a developer of this game. Criticising him for being honest with the way he opinates about the state of the game does not merit calling him out on being a "negative nancy" or whatever derogatory term you guys use these days to name dissenters. I would take his kind of review of the situation any time of the day compared to the general rose colored glasses opinions I see on everything they do. Yeah, the kool aid talk.
  7. Depends on one's point of view... they announce 5 items in their RNG pack, but one of them is the one procured most by its buyers, therefore, the one attracting buyers. They do not say anywhere that the items are guaranteed to be in their boxes, nor they display the chance of getting them. In the end, you are paying money for a chance to get an item. If it is not gambling, I do not know what it is.
  8. Pretty much this. The sooner it goes out, the better it will be. Creativity gave place to the shortest and lowest form of development in this industry because of real money gambling and its analogues.
  9. That is accurate. No dialogues, reactions, nothing, nada, zilch.
  10. Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.
  11. Too bad this is only temporary, as most of this new influx of players is only because they are forced to do so to get the stupid DvL rewards.
  12. Actually they are, since they decided that only characters created for this "event" could reap the benefits. Now, instead, lots of people like you trying to put the blame on veterans, as if they are the ones to blame for a lousy developed "event".
  13. If you can actually stomach every story class 2-3 times without spacebarring anything, you are either dyslexic or you really enjoy it way more than you should, lol.
  14. I dont even know why you guys bother so much with small technicalities such as character slots and that old drivel "nobody is forcing you to do it. Like I said before, it is just another way to make more cartel shop money by unlocks. No shame on admitting it at all, although its a real cheap way to do that. I gotta admit though, the only time I actually spent money on cartel coins was when I came back last september...only because I never did it before as the cartel shop didnt exist when I played before... did that without even checking what I could get out of it as a sign of goodwill since I came back to the game, only to be terribly shocked at what it was... it only feels better and better knowing I never spent another dime ever again.
  15. The credit sink excuse is a bad one, a very bad one at that. They already nerfed out heroic payoffs without nerfing repair costs. Ok, can live with that. Wanna make interesting sinks? - Make a bet dueling system between players. - Add minigames (like pazaak, sabaac or whatever its called, never played most likely never will, but always saw people wanting one of those in game) - Add a queue system for crew skill missions for very short missions so we dont need to open up to requeue companions every 20 seconds - mounts and speeders paintjobs (anything as simple as a color palette switch would go a long way to begin with) - customizable companion skillset and perks (taxes on training skills, respeccing, addind and removing perks etc.) thats just from the top of my head.
  16. The defenders will defend it any way they can - ignoring logic, common sense and any hint of selflessness. It doesnt matter how you spin it - the event was designed as a way to drain more money out of completionists and whales. If they wanted to show a sign of goodwill, they would at the very least make the crates bound to legacy, but not the items themselves. At this point it is ok that the items inside the crate are bound when opened, but locking the crates to the characters is simply a way to force people to buy coins or spend copious amounts of credits to buy the rest of the pieces they are missing for a set, or even worse - take part on the hypercrate sales to make money to do that.
  17. Your argument in comparison is almost like "to prevent murders by gun shots lets kill all licensed gun owners, but let the unlicensed ones have theirs instead".
  18. Just remember that this event was developed to entice people to buy more cartel **** to unlock sets, character slots, etc... while some of the rewards might be nice, its a very sleazy way to induce people to spend real money to unlock stuff. If they were acting in good faith, they would at least make the rewards bound to legacy. Making them bound to the character is simply a way to say "you want this cool item? pay up or **** you".
  19. I am not running the event and most likely wil not despite having 1 free slot and 2 disposable ones (leveled 1 PT and 1 vanguard, hated both.
  20. I am now dumber because of your thread, your post is dumb and it makes people dumber by simply reading them.
  21. So yeah... I did notice on my warrior I couldnt retrieve her back... is it the same way for imperial agents too? you cant get her back from the terminal at all even as IA? Thats the only thing stopping me from running the episode with my IA.
  22. Nobody said that there wouldnt be people playing it. The numbers show there are many people rolling alts just for this silly event. You wouldnt expect people ignoring this event only to join the starter areas to bash the event, right? Thing is, the majority of the playerbase is easily distracted by anything that resembles a pooppickle on a stick, this event wouldnt be different - the difference is, this time they did not consider people dedicated to their mains and those that rolled already way too many characters.
  23. nice bait tho 4/10 just because you tried to take that amount of players and make as if a good part of them were actually new players, when its a bunch of subs for the majority. good try tho.
