Odd how we differ I have returned to more immediate combat of DDO, a lot more fun that SWTOR at the moment.

Ever heard about a global product and player base? This is 2012 and the world stretches beyond Austin, Texas last time I looked. Stevie Ray anyone?

I do not defend it and have decided not to bother with SWTOR until the EU maintenance times reflect a professional global attitude.

Although Biowares approach to maintenance and how it affects the EU is a major contributory factor in my decision not to resub for now.

Have unsubbed and will keep an eye on changes and progress. I love the Star Wars world, the game looks ok, but the mechanincs are all too WoW like, which I have not played, and unless the game changes away from direction I suspect I will not return for long, if at all.

It may help to rewrite it as: Either Electronic Arts have been lying to us all from the start and they are just a money grabbing developer or this actually isn't a Star Wars MMO. I still want to believe in Bioware, the creators of so many games that have given me so much fun

I really feel for my Aussie and NZ friends. This is such a crap decison BW. Is there any news on maintenance slots for down under (and EU) that I may have missed?

Aside from the story telling, which is entertaining for a while, I am sorry to say they have added nothing to the genre. In fact, so many mechanics have been lifted from other "in the mold" MMOs that it is unlikely to hold my interest for months on end.

I would agree that SWTOR needs the hi res graphics working, at least please make it an option. WoW will still be a game to avoid (for me) no matter how good the graphics are You can't make a slik purse from a sows ear

PvP envy rage. No nerf needed, expecially as this would be a case where other aspects of the game get shafted by the need to balance, which is not the case here at all.

I am really hoping that BW are thinking very hard about making maintenance times for both the current EU and soon Oceanic regions different to that currently favouring the US player base. At the moment a number of players, I am one, are waiting to see what happens before they commit to a long term sub.

You are making an assumption that is quite incorrect. I have never spacebarred trhough the story, just must have missed that bit of dialigue to an outside distraction. Thank you for the rest of your comment though.

Anyone else had this? My female Agent’s accent sometimes changes from the excellent and slightly posh/60s spy spoof English one, to far less interesting American one. I thought all the bad guys are always English? Perhaps we have been wrong all along
