  1. Yeah, that's what was getting to me a bit. Felt like I was back in EQ, camping lower GUK LOL. Also, early in the day so only one instance up....but thanks for the info all. I figured I was missing a few things. Will help. ;p
  2. That makes a difference. I have about 6 chars at or above hoth level. Thanks much.
  3. How long does it take to accomplish this? I've hit every next, got two, and am now on cool-down for over a half hour on all nests. Seems like a colossal waste of time, doing little more then traveling, camping, failing. I dunno. Quests are suppose to be fun and entertaining. This one is not. Am I just having bad luck or is this the quest? May just run off an resell some junk and buy one for 700k.
  4. For a lot of people just starting out, basic guides are all they need. Latter stuff, like raiding, can be learned as they go. I currently have three front end raid chars (basically the holy trinity), and 16 alts . I pretty much enjoy all of it I'm starting the Smuggler now. if I start a new one, what I currently do is just run over to NOXXIC (I'm not contesting their accuracy of lack there of) and get a rough idea. Get to mod level and start digging and comparing. Its why I'm here. If I get lucky, I find a decent guide before I slog too far along. I worry about min maxing later and if I want to know if a class is end game valid there are "who's bests posts" everywhere. Like here LOL. For beginners, just a solid guide to get you there would save a bunch of time and aggravation. I dunno. Would work for me. Though this post is informative, I'll be bok marking it and saving it for later. I'll be reading that guide of yours from here on out. LOL, I got lucky.
  5. People are still reading it. I'm doing so now. Thanks.
  6. This. One day it was booming, the next it sounded like the squirrels in my back yard.....and no one has found a weapon to emulate the original sound. I actually changed to a snipe because of it, and glad i did as I had a feeling it would never be fixed.
  7. I dunno. Should the state pay to upgrade that model T you are driving down the interstate at 30 mph? They just build the road. Car is all on you.
  8. Well said. ....and OP, I don't think anyone really cares for Mekab. Too tight, too many mobs packed into a small space, to many "gimmicks" used in place of good sound fight scenarios. Tried farming there once. LOL, not again.
  9. Love both my Sorc and Op for healing.....so I'd have to say the difference would be whether one likes "HOT" healing, or "cast and heal". Both very fun though.
  10. Exactly. There is "challenge" and there is "tedious time wasting". Running across hoth for 10 minutes to get to the point of the quest, or navigating the horrible multilevel maps and roads of Balmorra before traveling for 10 minutes, does not make the game more challenging, but more tedious.
  11. Op is confusing difficulty with fun. Common misconception among gamers. Failing time and time and time again, repeating the same event continually until the planets, stars, and RNG align just right is not fun to most and marketing has to be aimed at the largest applicable demographic. Hard core gamers that fins such things to be fun are in short supply and very fickled. No matter what you devise, they will spend night and day until they beat it, say they had fun, then leave the game until the next "fun" happens. In the meantime your demographic does not exist and the income required to maintain the game does not either. in short, its a game, not an alternate reality and leveling is not suppose to be an immense challenge but a fun adventure that progresses to end game, which must also be fun. For those that want such ultimate challenge there are nightmare modes. If this OP that seeks such challenge has not accomplished all nightmare modes in appropriate level and gear, he has no room to complain.....and I would suggest that he has not.
  12. Does not have to. As was suggested, a fine demonstration of the doom and gloom arguments being exactly what they are, hyperbole and conjecture floating in a sea of irrationality. ;p
  13. i'd go for 1 and 8. Sprint is already available as low as level one, no? .....and to this day......no way would I want cross server group finder for PVE content. People NOT TALKING to each other is the GOOD thing. With cross severs we would get all the chatter, arguments, nonsense we have seen in every game that has tried it because there is NO accountability, no reputation to be lost, no lack of people to run with because you are on everyone's ignore list on the server. Do it for PVP. PVP is all about player smashing and intimidating, but not PVE. No way. I'd rather wait for a good group then get a bunch of jackwagons quickly.
  14. Hey, they could also sell breast enlargements or reductions on the cartel market.....even have a "three breast" kit. I bet it will make a few bucks for them.
  15. Casual raiding guild with high numbers of players on line. With that you have no pressure, the option to raid if you so desire, and plenty of people to do things with. Don't look at their roster, but how many are actually on line when you are on. You will also not really have a great deal of involvement in guild events while leveling as this is pretty much a solo leveling game, but at 55 there should be guild events, raiding, FPS being run by the officers with the option to sign up or not. .....and no drama is important. MMO players are basically babies and drama queens so you want to be very award and try to avoid that as much as is possible.
  16. All gear needs is two numbers. Level (1-55), and rating (1- 186) Item - Sword of a thousand truths Level- 55 Rating- 160 That is all that is needed, and simplified for any level.
  17. Great idea. This would be a nice end game addition for Bio. Breast implants. Scale them from small at level 10, to extended sizes at 55. The bigger they are, the better boost to any sort of reputation gain. Right? The bigger, the faster people like you.
  18. I used to offer to help anyone before I left if I was on a low planet. Take a level 50 about 5 minutes to do anything on a low planet. Answered a couple of help requests when the game was new and people didn't know how to do alot of things. Much different today (as it always is as the game ages). Now I get tells like, "can I have a million credits? C'mon, UR end game, dude, you can afford it". I tell them to meet me way on the other side of the planet from where they are, and tell them to hurry.....then go on my merry way. No reason why this can't be fun, people. ;p
  19. Relax guy. Not that much to be upset about. When they ask, say this. "Sure, How much are you offering? Standard is 250k per hour." Let him come on the boards ranting about people "ripping him off" on power leveling. ;p
  20. Have one just about every time I read these boards. ;p
  21. Or, someone like yourself that is ignorant of the issue and would rather put up a disparaging and hysterical post with a hysterical tittle then actually realize the true problem and ask for help. I'm running like a 7 year old machine with an E6850, dual Core at 3 Ghz, 3 gig working ram and a 9800 GTX. Game was running awful until I balanced my graphics and went from 25 MBPS to 100MBPS on my internet connection. On this older machine the game is running very, very smooth now and FPS are fine. Game engine is not the best, but people need to think.....or maybe not. Maybe I should just have just blathered away in my own thread about how the game sucks and my puter would have fixed itself also? Saved some time? ;p
  22. You are not looking at the entire picture here, but narrowing it to YOUR particular interest and declaring it correct because of your adaptation to such. There is more to the game then pushing the group finder button at level 22. That is exactly what should qualify you to participate in anything, especially raiding. It is the main thing a raid leader will check. Your acceptance of the system for your level of play does not make it acceptable or adequate for all, right? You're doing it wrong. ;p
  23. Not sure why these guys do this, but the certainly do excel at screwing this sort of thing up beyond all recognition. its like they get something in their heads and "think" its right and then plow ahead without "thinking" any further. Not sure what is so difficult here. Mouse over, under any circumstance, and you get level and rating number. Not a one of three different numbers stepping all over each other depending on the circumstances of viewing. Mouse over. Level 55, Rating 78. Done
  24. It is derogatory slang no different then calling a grown woman, "little girl". Rather arrogant to engage in, especially when pontificating with incorrect information. Don't insult, you won't be reproved. ;p
