  1. I wonder if anyone has considered that with Bioware's track record of the incredible likelihood that some accomplishments will fail to be recognized causing rewards to not be handed out. I mean, how many legendary players out there who still don't have the legendary player acknowledgement after two patches that were supposed to fix it?
  2. It actually sounds pathetic then, a developer so sad and mad (and broke!) that nobody wants to play the old stuff again that they have to bribe people to do so.
  3. You keep regurgitating that same line over and over like it's gospel. I really fail to see how that's even relevant to anything up to, and including, new content.
  4. Well, the L/D even has a time limit, so why make it so some players have to lose part of that time going through the next KotFE chapter. Why not just wait a week, most should have KotFE caught up by then.
  5. Why choose to launch the L/D "event" two days before the next chapter of KotFE drops?
  6. I haven't done anything in SWTOR to annoy people (well, except once I was telling bad jokes in chat), but in WoW I did lots of stuff to annoy people. My most favorite was setting up a macro using my knockback spell that when I activated it the spell was cast and my toon would shout "NO TOUCHY!". I only ever used that macro in dungeons and I have been booted out of them more than a few times.
  7. Champion mobs were a bit tough, some elites too. And I remember now that my weapon was allways up to date level wise so it wasn't completely level 32 gear. Anyway, my main point is that if he has anywhere close to level 60 gear he won't have any problem burning through the KotFE content.
  8. No to make like of your grievance, but I am actually amazed that anyone still does the space missions.
  9. Every time I go to Alderaan I just have to say my favorite Alderaanian joke: " I missed you Alderaan! But don't worry, I'm recalibrating the Death Star targeting system right now!
  10. Gear is a joke. Unless you do operations and heroics regularly you don't really need to gear up for anything because the story will provide you with enough to progress. I recently finished all the story content up to KotFE in level 32 gear and KotFE gives you the gear you need rather quickly. My level 32 (item rating 98) gear was still enough to get me through the first couple of chapters mixing in the gear rewards as I went along. Also, you'll have easily gotten the hang of your class abilities again by the end of the first or second chapter. And I am a horrible player. Like, really horrible.
  11. I agree the month-to-month sub rewards are pretty pathetic. If I never once touched KotFE I could sub starting July 1 and finish the entire KotFE story to date on all 8 of my characters at a casual pace within the month of July. So the content drops can't be considered rewards for subbing. The only thing I would miss by not subscribing during that time aside from the CC allotment would be the HK jet pack, one of those stupid droid companions, that god awful Zakuulian speeder mount thing, and that Niko Okarr companion, which is nothing special. Just another companion with a different look and chatter. Hell, his jacket and guns are even average.. The only one of those rewards I actually like is the HK Jet Pack. So all in all in these several months since KotFE started there aren't a lot of rewards to be missed by not subscribing. Of course that is subjective but no one can argue against them being weak overall in comparison to other games. As for starting a new character, there are 24 emails waiting for me with either claimable rewards or content information. That is just bloody ridiculous.
  12. That's a bug? I literally used every flirt option with Lana on several characters and not a single one of them has gotten any kind of "romance lock note" from her. I just though it was neglect of the romance subplots by Bioware. Once again, Bioware shows their complete incompetence of handling the simplest of tasks. God the coding staff for this game is horrible. They really need to fire these weaklings and get some real talent. ADDENDUM: After double checking 1 of them is listed as in a relationship with Lana, but the other three should be as well.
  13. Damn, that is literally some scary sh*t.
  14. One of the most disappointing things in KotFE is that when we meet Shae Vizla she never mentions that we kicked he *** on Rishi. Even worse is that we don't even get an opportunity to remind her, even when we go at odds with her. It was such a downer when she starts talking about fighting and I didn't have the option to say something like "Have you forgotten your defeat at my hands already?" The writers truly missed a golden opportunity for a couple of great dialogue options there.
  15. My son insisted that I mention SWTOR needs a wookiee playable race. He won't play until there are PC wookiees. I want some kind of honest to goodness space missions (that aren't on rails). Even if it's just solo play similar to starfighter PvP. I want to be able to take direct control of my companions. I also want to to be able to make my companions use emotes at my whim. /clubdance Kira, /clubdance I say! Mostly though I'd just like them to get their heads out of their asses and do a proper game engine overhaul fixing bugs and giving it a proper optimization.
  16. Hell, they can't even properly award "Legendary Player" status to people who have earned it (like me, 2 months and still no label), what makes you think they could possible make it cross server? Such a level of incompetence over a simple true/false flag makes me wonder how they even managed to compile an .exe for this game.
  17. This thread took an unexpected turn and I must say I find it quite amusing.
  18. I disagree...I wish I could kill off more than half of those cretins in my contact list...
  19. As teh otehr guy said: No. Just no. Thankfully, I am pretty sure Bioware doesn't have authorization to touch anything even close to the timelines of the films.
  20. They need to increase the lightside/darkside vendor's inventory as well as well...
  21. That's all well and nice FOR YOU. I sub 1-2 months at a time to catch my characters up on the story content then break for a bit (sometimes up to 3-4 months) then come for another 2 and catch up, etc. I have absolutely no need to maintain a long subscription because I don't need to do operations, I don't need a guild bank, etc etc. Sub incentives are aimed and regular free/preferred players. I am neither. I do not play the game unless I have a sub but there is never enough content at one time for more than 2 months to be useful to me and probably not useful to part time free/preferred players. Now, while I can't say how much value this HK mission will have without playing it I do think it's a safe bet that if it were sold separately you'd pay no more than 4.99 for it. That as a 6 month sub reward is pretty pathetic.
  22. Chat spam is almost exclusively the very first thing I see when I log in with a character who is on fleet. My characters that have recently been on fleet receive a least 1 email spam every day. If I am gone for three days they will have 2-4 messages in their inboxes. Thankfully I have yet to be whispered spam, but I am sure it will happen if I spend enough time on fleet.
  23. Personally, I would like to know if the HK mission is actually worth a six month subscription. There is nothing that was mentioned about the promised content that assured me I would get my 90 bucks worth out of it. I say that because as it stands I really have no need for a continuing subscription, buying 1 or 2 months every once in a while fills my requirememnt to play SWTOR just fine. Being forced to drop money down for a six month subscription just so I can play what will most likely amount to a 3 hour experience at most is wasted money to me.
  24. So, my son and I were having an insult war (as fathers and sons are known to do) and he came out and called me a "scruffy looking nerf hearder". After making a (very bad) impression of a wookiee laughing I realized that I actually never bothered to find out what a nerf actually was. So I Googled it. Apparently a nerf is a buffalo/bison like creature used for its milk, meat, and hide. It has 4 horns and an awful odor. So now armed with this amusing, if uninteresting, tidbit of information I am, of course, forced to ask a few simple questions: Do nerf wings exist in the Star Wars universe? What do they use for sauce? If they do exist in SW then why don't cantinas sell them in SWTOR?
