  2. Is it fair for some people to have epic gear while others don't? No? Welcome to every loot system in every MMO (or hell, RPG) pretty much... WoW is an exception obviously, but meh, that's not for the best gear. Also the companion argument isn't invalid if you are on a PvP server where fighting players in places other than Ilum can happen pretty easily. Also the same armor classification only applies to the actual gear tokens... you can buy the other gear with commendations.
  3. If there are 5 people attacking you, you're dead anyways, CC or no, not really a good reason to nerf it. A good reason to nerf it would be a small group using it to kill a massive group with ease. Compared to every other MMO I've played, the CC is pretty light. The only real tough part is how short the immunity is, which really? It shouldn't be insanely long. 30-60 second immunity can be a long time, especially in certain situations.
  4. Pulse Cannon has a much more visible range thus is easier to use by far is one good example. If you haven't noticed there also have been a lot of Empire bugs getting fixed in various patches, a lot of them people on forums weren't aware of because guess what? They weren't getting talked about, despite some of them being severe. (and before you say anything there have been a bunch of Republic ones that got fixed too involving side specific stuff) There are also likely other issues as well. I'm not going to play every class to 50 to find out what though. Obviously neither are you though. Out of sight, out of mind... that's why some things that are EXTREMELY false are still running rampant. Really, there are only three key issues that I see with Republic right now.. Mortar Strike, Project (more for visual reasons than what people actually believe it does) and Alderaan. Mortar Strike is the biggy as the difference is VERY distinct. Sure you can still move as soon as the bar is done and the third will still fire off, but the fact that it comes a bit late compared to DFA is unacceptable. I suppose my point is, there's some legitimate issues, but for the love of god, focus on the issue. Quit trying to pretend you're being treated as an enemy. Do you want to know what treating people like enemies does? Makes them NOT want to help you no matter how legit the complaint will be. Almost everyone who has worked directly with customers themselves should realize that. At some point someone is going to be an *** and blame you, even when its not your fault and they don't have all the information. Not very enjoyable.
  5. Its eyebrow raising so many refuse to look at the whole picture. I don't look to badger angry customers, but I'm tired of people who jump to wild conclusions and believe that everything is against them. It always ALWAYS has to be about devs favoring one side over another. Not one MMO has this claim not been made with various reasons. They don't even bother trying to figure out the other side's issues. When the other side having issues is brought up they expect the person that brings it up to know all the details when they themselves don't have accurate details about all the issues on their side and such on. Its eyebrow raising that people repeat this cycle no matter what. Do things lean slightly towards Empire in advantage? Perhaps, but these things don't work out evenly. Ever. Its ridiculously improbable to expect otherwise. Pretty much all the mirroring issues can be attributed to the classes not originally being mirrors. I don't know how some of the things got messed up, but it definitely makes sense with the animation issues. Just kind of worked out that way in the end. Is it an issue? Yes, but treating a mistake like a personal attack quite frankly? Wouldn't fly irl, why should it fly online? All? Yeah, now you're definitely wrong.
  6. Steep enough to be widely considered UP while still being one of the most lethal classes.
  7. Powertech is good if you wish to spec DPS on them, but Marauder is far better, just a VERY steep learning curve if you want to get the best out of them.
  8. One thing I do know for a fact is killing the ball carrier near your goal line gives massive objective points. Pretty much only way I've gained objective medals in Huttball... hopefully one of those new 14 medals involve Huttball captures... maybe another for passing to a person who scores as a result.
  9. DPS can kill the carrier just fine... problem is sometimes you also need to think about removing their support, which few do. They focus purely on killing the ball carrier when the strategy should be to stall them long enough to kill their guard/healer before finishing them. Pretty hard to do, yeah, but doable. Splitting them up also is sufficient at times.
  10. I consider silences far worse than roots and snares. Stun timers aren't far off from WoW, yet got stun lock killed by single people so often in WoW compared to here where it usually takes focus fire ever since they adjusted ops/scoundrels... and don't get me started on DAoC... or EQ... or Ultima Online. The thing that makes all the difference is the CCs being more linked rather than different types being able to be chained together in ridiculousness.
  11. Its hard to say in this game for sure, but in every other MMO this has proven to be false again and again and again. The only time I've seen masses of melee lose even in this game has been when they've hesitated.

I do, but that has nothing to do with this, unless you're trying to show Bioware themselves somehow has years of favoritism in their history, which is pretty damn hard to show given that this is their first MMO. If expecting people to prove their wild unrealistic fantasies is fanboyism, then well, rather have fanboyism, because the opposite would be anarachy. There is not ONE sensible reason to not expect people to prove their claims. So how about we handle things like adults rather than try to derail topics with childish bullocks, hmm?
  13. ...show me a list of devs from the company you are talking about and show me which ones worked on things involving faction balance. No, just one isn't good enough if you're blaming a whole team. Not to mention if you're going to make claims like that, I expect you to pinpoint which team was responsible for each aspect and which devs were responsible. So are you going to take me up on my challenge or admit you have NOTHING backing you? (*psst* because guess what... the head PvP designer? has nothing to do with a vast majority of the issues that people claim he was responsible for)
  14. Pretty sure The Crucible Pits this farming occurred via Ruinous. 99% sure. I also mentioned the visual effect of Pulse Cannon which is pretty in line with Project... just Pulse Cannon doesn't make it look like I capped while meanwhile a Project is coming at me and I'm wondering why its sitting on 8 seconds longer than normal.
  15. They are balanced for mass fights... its called organizing and not running alone. With that you slaughter groups of ranged. True story.

  17. ...no it doesn't... why would you say this? Seriously though, knockbacks are fine as they are. Just because an ability makes life difficult is not a reason to ask for it to be removed or nerfed into oblivion.
  18. Pulse Cannon is definitely easier to use vs Flame Thrower as a result of animation as one example... actually there are times I wonder if the range isn't wider in reality. Never actually seen Flame Thrower hit outside the flames, but maybe I was too focused on keeping things in them. Either way, if the visual issues of Project count, so should that.
  19. Responses in red... so much false information it hurts. There's some legitimate stuff, but I'm getting tired of the flat out lies and slander spreading.
  20. To some extent on the hype, but lets face it, when you know who the heroes are already, and lets face it, villains make or break a story. Honestly though, some of the complaints aren't quite what is claimed. Project especially.. after trying the assassin? I can say without a doubt that it still hits me when I stealth with it coming at me, just doesn't take me out of stealth after its been cast. Its kind of weird with interrupting though.... 8 seconds on voidstar door, for some reason not capping though bar is still there, and oh, got hit with a project half second later. It feels sort of like that belief that all sorc attacks are elemental. Misinformation based off visual effect. Not to say there isn't a point with some other things, but its nothing as bad as oh, that Agent talent that flat out didn't work for a good long while that only recently got fixed. In any case, hopefully this gets fixed at some point, but seriously people, the sky isn't falling, things are being taken WAY out of proportion. Not every discrepancy favored Empire... a recent fix is proof of that. Also the spawn camp happened in Republic favor on some servers. Claiming that issue was Empire exclusive is flat out ridiculous. Not to mention just because you don't see something happen doesn't mean nothing happened. It could also mean you were wrong about your conclusion for one reason or another.
  21. You know, I'm all for bugs being fixed, but the people constantly calling "Empire favoritism" makes me wish it stays in just to spite them... seriously annoying that people actually believe these bugs are put in on purpose.
  22. Anyone caught outside the group will die fast... it only hurts melee so much because so many melee are too cowardly or stupid to do a mass charge without there being an organized guild. THIS is why zergs are as effective as they are, because the melee are actually DOING something and they wipe out the cowards who are afraid of dying in a video game.
  23. Any sniper can say with certainty that yes, armor does work and it isn't just the flat mitigation.
  24. Except for one thing... a good stealther would cap the ball every single time, no question, no one stopping them. That can't be countered like leaps and sprints can. Really, the only classes lacking in Huttball usable utility are the agent/smuggler classes. Everyone else has something they can do and do well. EVERYONE. Getting people off the ball carrier is just as important as being good at carrying the ball. They are killable, just the strategy becomes to knock around the carrier and kill his support in the situation you describe. You know, instead of mindlessly attacking the ball carrier.
  25. For all its problems, its better than WoW at least. Occaisonally some of the issues make me take short breaks, but meh, most of those issues will be fixed as time goes on. People need to mellow out and stop trying to turn the game into their life. Its ok to play other things once in a while.
