I have a caldari pilot who can fly carrier effectively, and all skills towards passive tanking. iirc, i have about 600mil, 1x nighthawk, 1x crane, 1x mantis, 1x interceptor, and numerous other ships. it's heavy combat focus, but i can fly a barge as well.

to answer your question base on my humble opinion is simply that, Video games gives a person illusion of hope of success. Let's be honest, not everyone can be Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mother Teresa, or whoever else achieve great things in this world. By basing a game truely on player skills but nothing base on level/gear, will only create that 99% syndrome that is happening now. "Why can't I be successful if I work hard?" quite simply put it, you are not talented enough. You are limited by your personal capabilities. I always remember this, "All illness are curable but stupidity ain't one. There is no medicine to cure stupid." A lot of players also will get discourage if things are not working out for them. Lucky my gf doesn't read the forum, but she is just not capable for running HM ops, and that's just how it is, it's her personality. By implementing level/gear, one can have the false hope of "acquiring such level and gear will make me a great player", with that being said, I been running HM FP with my gf to get her gear up and feel a sense of accomplishment. I haven't played EVE anymore, but i still love that game simply because there is no set goal, and it is truely an open end story. After all this ramble, in video game world, it creates the false hope of achievement and that's what drive subscription, since a lot of people don't want to accept that life is a b*tch and reality is cruel

lol, just calculate the cost and see if it is profitable first of coz' I am not sure about other profession, but I am an artifice myself pre-1.2, this is what I used to do to make credits buy treasure hunting mission for 15-20K, gives me 4 purple crafting mat, and sometimes 6 To send them out to mission, cost me 3-5K?? (dont' remember), and then I will throw in another 5K for other useless mats to make a purple mod. cost me 30K, sell purple mod for 40-50K a pop. or, buy a magenta crystal for 150K, mission discovery for 15-20K, other mat, 5K cost me 175K, and sell the magenta crystal for 320K I did this almost everyday, and only earned 2.5mil credit, then I went ahead and spent them all on my gf's character, now i am back to 150K.......

then 3 more words for you...."buy mission discovery"

ok, so the other thread get closed. so people are complaining about that they are not viewed as "valued players" in bioware eyes to get the free lvl50 month free sub. so basically: 1. having at least one lvl 50 player is a valued player 2. because you are a valued player, you get a month of free sub so if BW simply say that "we decided to give accounts with a lvl50 player a free month of sub." thus removing the criteria of "valued player" will be ok then?

wait wait wait, how is it screwing the long term players?? let's say a teacher is going to give a brownie to a grade school student who guessed the right number, one person won, how is the other students being screwed. Yes, they don't have the brownie, but they are not in a worse shape than they are before. Just some people got "lucky" or whatever you want to call it, and got free month sub. This is a gift, not entitlement.

I am a jugg tank, and when there is a group of mobs spread out, it is hard to control aggro. I am not saying it cannot be done, but it requires a lot of work. A group of mods that are closer together is easy, just wait till the jugg tank smash them once, to at least gain that little bit of lead on aggro gain. spread out mob, try to CC first, if not, jugg tank only have 1x aoe taunt and 1x single target taunt. 1x "high" treat ability (backhand) and 1x threat reducer on ally (intercede) and if you have aggro, like above said, run towards the tank, so he can either taunt or get a few hits on the target to get the aggro back. While it is possible to single tank thru all the HM FP and OP, i find the fight much more easier if there is a OT who can take a few more hits than a pure dps class.

I been tanking as Jugg in PvP, full champion war leader gear, and then finally got to BM, currently, I only have the BM lightsaber 2. I watched Luciela video about speccing and modding your gear. 3. I had 700 champion commendation while working for BM commendation, so I decided to try out the DPS lolsmash jugg built. 4. I bought full champion Vicdicator gear, BM vicdicator lightsaber, I also bought 5x champion operative helm to get the enhancement and mod it to the champion vicdicator set. 5. my surge rating is 330, along with all other stuff. My bonus force damage is 700. 6. I use a +380 power relic. 7. I am NOT biochem Question: When I pop my relic + WZ expertise adrenal, the most I crit smash was 5600 on a sorceror. I can't break into the 6K zone. Did they do something after Luciela video and nerfed the damage? or am I missing something? Or is it just the way it is?

How about for armor? will we be able to take out the amoring mod from Rakata/BM gear?

how about if it is just a title you earn for every say 10,50,100,500 kills etc.... no real rewards, but epeen title

are you sure it hit you 15K or are you just rolling. Critting with 6k is known with a smash jug but like all other classes, you can CC and even dodge the smash due to the animation lag.

First, i have played so much warzones, or to avoid being a troll, i have play enough warzones to kind of know wht I am talking about. it happens both ways in my server. Sometimes i can't win 5 games in a roll, sometimes i just get 2 quick win back to back. no matter what, i never ever leave a warzone, even when i am outnumbered, outgunned, and losing. You might call me stupid for letting the other side "farming" valor from me. but all I know is, if I don't try, I get nothing. If I try, well ,at least i can tell myself that I tried. btw, where is the good old fashion reason of Sportmanship to continue to fight in a losing warzone?

as a tank jug, the only problem i have is with sniper. If they are far away and have their little cover up. I can't charge/leap to them before i am like 30% health. but hey, i have 1v1 all other classes and won before, so its not that bad. you win some, you lose some. and honestly, i don't like to play anything that is OP anyway, where's the fun in that?

well, after i got 50, i was still waiting for some of them to catch up on the level. So i just went there and wait for the balloon with another lvl 50 friend. We were playing Pokemon while waiting (dueling with only pets while actively clicking their abilities). and then before we realize it... the balloon came and gone... So we waited some more... and when it comes to the last datacron, the one that you jump down to the ledge, my friend missed it... he is operative, so can't charge. luckily one of the sor is kind enough to pull him up. the way I see it, it's min/max, and it's not necessary. just something to do to kill time.

Using the Asus G73 series here. no problem whatsoever, and I hooked it up to my 30" screen to play. You can find the same laptop used for around $800 on CL.

I am 31/10 specced Jug. full champion gear with exception of a matrix cube, columni gloves and rakata relic. In the begining of my lvl50 PvP experience, I only get like 3-5 medals, as I progress, I am averaging about 8 medals with highest being 10. I always get the 2,5,10K defense, the 75K damage, 10 kills and killing blow. the 2.5K single hit, comes in once a while, if I am lucky to find a light armor with some debuff on him, then i hit him with crushing blow or vicious slash. (btw, i noticed that even i hit over 2.5K, if the victim doesn't have 2.5K hp left, i don't get the medal) 1k defender medals comes in fairly often and 3K usually in void star and more frequent in aldarraen. my guard priority is healer>melee dps>range dps. I use single target taunt when there is only 1, area taunt when 3 or more. smash when there are people surrounding me (i admit that move is for the damage medal). 1v1 wise, if both have full hp ( i am not sure about CDs), i have killed every classes, but usually i have to burn my CD to do so. and my win rate is about 50/50. And last but not least, I specced as a tank, so I didn't expect to be able to kill people fast. I understand I am the person who just help to mitigate damage for teammates and help my team with all my abilities. I would Force Charge to an enemy who is attacking my dying teamate and force push him away, just so that my dying friend can run away.
