  1. I am disappointed that they aren't releasing it now, after all this time. It better be a pretty solid, well thought out, nearly perfect buglessness, multispec system they are making in order to be dragging it out this long. I almost dare to say, it better have room for more then 3 specs too. At least 4 even. Totally customizable for the multispecer, but enough to have at least have: 1 PvE Solo spec 1 PvE Party/Ops Spec 1 PvP Solo Spec 1 PvP Premade/Guild Team Spec From a PR stand point, not having at least Dual spec after it has become an MMO standard is just bad news for an MMO RPG of this similarity. So if the PR strategy is wait to release, then it better be a PR strategy of making a solid and better the past MMOs Multispec system. And it better be actually in the process of being made and pretty far into the making of it!!!
  2. Yes, I am still here from prelaunch days. I don't often post.
  3. Well... Public Test is here now. So far, no sign, what so ever, of Dual/Multi speccing... Does anyone else feel like they have worked too hard on their characters, waited too long, have multiple 50s on a single server, as well as reached legacy lvl 50 just to still not have Dual/Multi Spec?
  4. Huh, since I neglected the Archo stuff and related pet mounts in WoW, I didn't think to take that into account. Ok well then, your modification seems perfectly reasonable.
  5. Well, it would be nice to have them as a super rare super difficult item to get, that you can't solo for, or even 4 man to get. Should be an interesting special thing that requires more of a puzzle to get then even what ever the Ilum boss monster crystal is to get. Would be nice if it requires items from multiple 8 man HM ops runs side quest areas and multiple planets and related lvl 50 raid/ops world bosses, and still require real puzzle like puzzles that are not simply or complex smash grab, tank'n'spank, avoid AoE and the occasional mechanic, but real non-combat raid/ops puzzles greater then the +10 all stats datacron. Assuming BW wants it available while at the same time super rare goal met.
  6. Hmm, multiple local areas as an idea? Sounds nice! The areas could even be play style specific too, such as PvE PvP dedicated. PvP dedicate areas could even have a planetside like base capture effect, though something more advanced then ilum, and far less linear. Comes with a safe zone port for each faction, and everything spread out and in between can be a capture able thing that gets reset daily, and provides a few local planet factional benefits as well as a galactic wide benefit. Small one, not something that would be overkill and make it very game changing. Perhaps a small XP legacy stacking bonus buff that doesn't eat up rest XP, that is influenced only by the base XP gain with no rest.
  7. ??? Isn't this very same white crystal the same crystal you can fight an ops run boss on ilum for?
  8. If you take the context of the OP's thread on Dual Spec into account, then it is assumed that the reason why someone is releveling another character, is to have another character with a different spec that is the same class and same AC. Using a method of having multiple characters with the same class and AC just to have a different spec would indeed be very cumbersome and time consuming, as well as character slot consuming. Since there are many classes and ACs that support skill trees with either DPS and Tank or Healing roles, Dual Spec becomes all the more recommended. Without Dual Spec, making 2 characters of the same class and AC, for some people, can be a way of getting the different specs desired, in an exact way and rotation desired, while at the same time avoiding the confusion of respecing at the trainer or paying 200k creds out in the field. Still comes with its own high cost of spending a character slot and the time it would take to level and get it though. You can best bet that any Dual Spec system they make, will be limited to being within Class AC Skills tree respecing. In other words, what ever Class you are, then what ever Advanced Class you chose, you could only respec the skill tree withing the Classes AC. An Inquiz Assassin could only Dual Spec 2 of his/her skill trees, liking being a DPS/Tank Dual Spec combo for what ever Raid, PVP or solo reasons that person chooses.
  9. I hope they don't make the mistake of failing to release it at or before 1.4.
  10. It kinda feels like Dual Spec should have been released age's ago. I am pretty sure the devs have felt the pains this game is having, when not having dual spec. There are plenty of reasons to have it, and has become an MMO standard. Leveling wise, most want a DPS spec to quickly mow enemies down on their own, while still able to provide utility during a FP. End Game wise, same thing about utility during raids and same thing about soloing dailies. Class Quest, sometimes DPS spec isn't the best idea to win it, and using utility from the other tree is wiser, should the battle be more tank to win, or heal to win rather then a DPS to win, for what ever reason. Use of interrupts aside. DPS and utility reasons is a solid consistency for most players through out many aspects of the game.
  11. When most MMOs make an expansion pack, they sometimes raise the lvl cap. When that happens however, the game in self changes a great deal. Though it is too early for Bioware to really be focused on an expansion pack or raising the lvl 50 cap at this time. Was wondering what your thoughts are on the possible future of raising the lvl cap, and the affect it would have on game play. I personally don't mind it, as long as it doesn't massively change the game, like it so often does to past MMOs. Makes me wonder if there shouldn't be added some sort of unlocking method, where it isn't a simple grind quest kill to win lvl. Perhaps a ops/raid accomplishment requirements?
  12. Right now the current skills point limit is connected directly to your 10-50 lvling. SO you are limited to just 41 skill points to cleverly spend on certain tree's. It is a way for the Dev's to balance the game play fairly. As far as being able to get more. That would likely come in the way of an expansion pack that allows you to level past 50. Something of which I have not seen any announcement about.
  13. ??? Technically, isn't it already pay to win? And isn't the FP, WZ, and HM limitations as well as the Ops/Raid Lockout till paid for, like Pay-to-win already? However, I don't have a problem with it being that way. This game was very expensive to make, and is expensive to maintain, as well as having started out as a sub to play. Irritations from bugs aside, it would be not only unfair, but also unrealistic not to be the Pay-to-win style. F2P is being added to the game. They are not removing subscriptions.
  14. Sadly the problem is something that happens over and over again. If you ever get an artificer, and max out the crew skill at 400 and get every pattern from the crew skill vendor, you will find that this example problem happens quite a lot, and does so at its worst with everything above 41. You will find like 3 different enhancements, with different names, but with the exact same stats. It happens so often, I got lazy and did that above example thing rather then naming out actual names of the enhancements. It happens with defense ones, happens with crit specialized ones, power specialized ones, defense/attack mixed ones. It happens at ever tier lvl too. 41, 43, 45, 47, 49... I actually noticed the problem months ago, but I only had my main at 50, and one other on the way. Now... I have 2 lvl 43s, a lot smarter about what stats best suit them, and thus pickier about what to get them. I am sure I am not the only one who has wanted to specialize the stats and cater them too their alts best performance needs.
