  1. I would also like to just land on the planet's surface and get on with what I'm doing without all the loading screens. I think we all understand that BW used the airlocks and orbital stations as locations for quests and cutscenes. What we dont understand is why the airlocks and stations are there in the first place. Couldn't any event that takes place on them take place on the planet just as well? Story is all well and good but I'm certain most players would enjoy less load time also. I always wondered about this, why show me a cutscene departing my current location ... then a load screen? Why isnt the game loading while the cutscene is playing? If showing the cutscene only delays the game loading my destination, why would I ever want to watch the cutscene? Why is it even there?
  2. This actually may be more of an issue with body type and how your gear makes the character look, not so much the actual facial characteristics. I personally am happy enough with my character's face and hair - i took time on those also and I bet most players did the same - but if I'd known how I'd look in my columni/rakata, I'd definitely have chosen another body type. When you roll your character - at least when you roll your first character - you have no idea how they're going to look in that endgame gear that you'll probably be staring at for months. Its possible now to look around and see other characters who have looks similar to one you might want in their tier sets, but at launch that wasn't possible.
  3. I would also pay $ to change my character's face/body type/appearance. It would be great if one or two free changes were allowed, but I'd definitely pay for it.
  4. /signing off on the macros especially. Every class has SO MANY abilities in TOR, and many of those abilities have similar functionality or share similar cooldowns, good qualifiers for macroing them together. For example, my Bounty hunter has 3-4 DPS abilities with a 15s cooldown. It would be really cool to macro these together to save on UI real estate. I'd also love to be able to use combat-sensitive tags. In combat, you get one ability (or sequence of abilities) out of combat, you get something else. You can get some much-needed functionality by creating keystroke macros with your mouse software or by using programs like AutoHotKey, but there really needs to be some type of macro support ingame, if for no other reason than to reduce the sheer number of necessary keybinds and reduce the UI profile. As for UI mods, I'd love to have some options on how to configure my UI.
  5. /signed I also like the idea of automatically getting my mail when i click on the icon.
  6. Funny you mention that. I realized the same thing recently: The ship could be a single-screen interface menu and lose no functionality whatsoever. You could have crafting, storage, intercom, navigation and space missions all on a menu. You don't actually NEED a 'physical' area for the interior of your ship - the only things that ever happen on the ship happen in cutscenes, which can be reached through a menu. Since the ship area itself provides no utility, why is it there? Maybe theyre planning to do something with ships later?
  7. I disagree actually, a 3rd row of buttons would push the UI way too far into the game's viewable area. What you actually need is a single row of buttons across the bottom of the UI (20ish), rather than 2 stacks of 12, for a slimmer UI profile.
  8. Legit question, what the point of social points? I know theres that custom pilot gear from the commendation vendor that requires social levels to wear, but is there anything else?
  9. Woah! After actually LOOKING at it for awhile that flashing after each GCD is kind of ... bright, isnt it?
  10. Just chiming in here. The new 'on CD' effect is VERY visible imo, much more visible than it was before the patch. The highlighting is a little funky; the buttons light up if you mouseover them, even if on CD - but thats only an issue for clickers. Personally i think the white line scrolling downwards is very easy to see. That said, I'd still prefer numbers to tell my CD lengths, but the highlighting and borders seem good.
  11. Honestly, I dont WANT a developer designing my UI. The dev doesnt know anything about my playing style or habits or ability (or lack of it) that would be necessary to design the best UI for me - and thats fine - but I definitely need to be able to do it for myself.
  12. I agree with the OP. Not so much as an ultimatum as just a statement of fact. C'mon, be honest with yourself and everyone else. You're NOT worse off with an LFG tool and you know it. With an LFG tool, you can use it to find groups or you can group manually from your flist or whatever. You have options and are still free to play the game the way you want. Without it, you have spam on a cluttered local channel and players who aren't having fun. How does having an option, an additional alternative towards your end, HURT you? That's just not plausible. That said, the game needs macro support.
  13. I always wondered why there werent Light and Dark Side versions of each companion. Perform enough DS actions in the questline and you get the DS companion, enough LS and you get the good guy. That way, at least you'd be able to use a character who fit your playstyle and - oh wait. It would just mean more talking and more cutscenes. Skip it.
  14. That would be cool, or I'd be ok with them just removing mod stations entirely. Masochist. Its a game. Its supposed to be FUN and enjoyable.
  15. Happens to me all the time and I dont use CE ... much. (jk, I dont use it at all)
  16. Not only that, a necrophiliac. He was DEFINITELY going to kill her first, lol. What a twisted belligerent b*stard, love having him tank for me.
  17. My alt sorcerer hit 50 yesterday. If you can't beat em, join em.
  18. Actually that's exactly what 'linear' means, isn't it? Your 'story' experience is occasionally led down a road with no alternatives where the available 'choices' all lead to the same outcome. I'm not hating on TOR for its linearity, but the truth is the truth.
  19. On a single character, no. My main is a BH Arsenal Merc so there was no need to get any Strength or Willpower datacrons. I got everything else though. Even cunning and presence! My alt sorc just hit 50, so now I will have the pleasure of getting all the Willpower 'crons that I've never even seen before - but I can skip cunning, aim and strength so it should be a shorter circuit overall. I heard a couple of the willpower datacrons are difficult though. By the time I level 3 or 4 classes to 50, ill have gotten them all. Some several times. EDIT: You also just reminded me that I'll have to get the +10 again
  20. The animations wouldn't NEED to be unique for 'crossover' weapon use, they could use the animations that already exist and apply them to other classes. Now I'm not saying that still wouldn't be considerable work (i don't know actually) but it wouldn't be the same as creating animations from scratch. It sounds feasible from a players perspective.
