  1. Obviously I'm not going to refuse to group with sorcerers, or drop group if I ever see one. That would be screwing myself over.
  2. We could write dissertations about the UI. Honestly, I hope they just open it up to addons and get on with fixing bugs and designing the game. I want a customizable UI also, but the last thing I want is for TOR devs to try to design one for me. 'scalable', not custom whatsoever.
  3. Not at all man, people are hitting 50 on their alts now. It doesn't take long at all. Completely opposite experience leveling. Heroic quest groups were plentiful, yes. Flashpoint groups were not. Nobody (except beta players) knew where they were, what the level range was or how to get to them, and very few players seemed to want to stop questing to go sit on the fleet and LFG. I STILL haven't seen Collocoid War Game or Red Reaper and I probably wont unless they implement hardmodes for them.
  4. The worst part about this is that you get to HM and NM ops, and every boss has a hard enrage timer. If you hit the enrage timer you have no tools for determining performance or improvement. You know you failed and died, but you have no idea why. Horrible design. Calling bullsh*t on this. You can't even see the Scrolling Combat Text for another player; theres NO WAY you are aware of the same amount of information that is captured in a parse, nor could you relay it in a manner conducive to raid progression.
  5. Is this the thread for the free month of SWTOR playtime? /signed
  6. I bet you've been driving for years too. Do you check your speed in the speedometer when you drive? Or do you 'pay attention' to your speed without using numerical or graphical data to represent it? Are you only aware that you've exceeded the speed limit when you collide with another car? Just wondering.
  7. Just chiming in quickly here. I definitely support any type of robust, expanded LFG tool, cross-server or otherwise. The game could definitely benefit from a queue-up PvE grouping system. If its available for PvP, it should be available for PvE.
  8. Its funny, its crystal-clear to players and muddy water to the developers. Its like "Wait, people want to spend time actually playing the game and not preparing to play the game? They dont think spamming chat is fun?! OH GOD MUST PATCH THIS BRING DOWN THE SERVERS"
  9. Preach it brother. 100% agree. I wouldnt mind a longer wait time for a group if i could do anything else while waiting, but the sit-and-spam approach is just unacceptable. You can't even do dailies while LFG. Terrible system.
  10. Are you running hardmodes with a static group? Same players and classes every time? If so, that might be your issue. Its not officially stated or anything, but many players have seen patterns in drops - some good, some awful like yours - when running with the same group setup. I personally saw this myself somewhat. In a guild static with BHx2, SW and SI, the vast majority of loot that dropped was SW, every FP, every day. The SW had 5/5 of his columi dps set and 4/5 tanking set before the rest of us even had 2/5. The other BH and I didn't start getting drops until we dropped the static and started pugging. YMMV.
  11. As a bounty hunter ... orz. Why a BH would want a blaster rifle, let alone one with cunning, is beyond me.
  12. Indeed. Not only have I not seen this referenced anywhere, I haven't seen an in-depth discussion of threat mechanics by Bioware devs or community reps anywhere. Do you have a link? Figure WHAT out? its not like there is some data which we arent interpreting correctly, so we pull aggro. There's NO INFORMATION at all about threat. There are no clues by which anyone can figure anything out. You seem quite pleased to be able to let someone die. Wouldn't you be happier if they could discern their threat, and thereby prevent the damage in the first place?
  13. Preach it brother. DPS dont pull aggro because they want to. They pull aggro because they have absolutely no way to discern their threat on the target UNTIL it attacks them. You don't even know when to slow down dps, you just have to get a 'feel' for it, which is utter BS. Some kind of numerical/graphical representation of threat is sorely needed.
  14. That's EXACTLY the problem. I can discuss it however i want. I can ask politely, i can /rage, i can even report them - but in the end, that player can decide to extricate me or anyone else, appropriately or otherwise and there's nothing anyone can do about it. That's as much potential for harassment as for proper use, and probably too much leeway to give to players in trusting them to not troll with the ability. I maintain that the pull on Extrication should be removed or made into an entirely different ability.
  15. Ah, if only insulting and berating me would make TOR a better game... Sadly, It won't. It STILL needs an LFG system.
  16. PvP can stay just the way it is. My only complaint is that Extrication allows someone other than me to move my character. I just don't want other players to be able to do that (in PvE). That's all.
  17. I am for anything that allows me to group more often and more effectively. Yeah yeah, 'community' is awesome, I'm all for 'community' - except from where I'm sitting, spamming DPS LFG HMs for hours every night to run ONE flashpoint, there isn't any 'community' to speak of - there is a Fleet and a General channel and not much else that I can see. Facilitate quick, efficient and engaging grouping and you'll see the community explode - but how do you expect community to form when players can hardly get groups outside of their guilds? The system needs an overhaul, but Bioware already knows that.
  18. Please remove the pull from this ability. The threat reduction utility is great, but the pull is just terrible. It can easily be used for harassment and griefing, but the biggest issue is that Extrication works like a knockback if you're casting or channeling - it interrupts you. Even a well-meaning player can cause a lot of frustration by making someone waste a cool down with extrication. I can see knockbacks and pulls and effects similar to Extraction being widely used in PvP. In PvE though, I don't see why a player needs the ability to move other players around, specifically without their consent or permission. We have the /stuck command if we need it, what purpose does the pull on extrication actually serve? Is such an effect even necessary? Extrication is used for trolling and harassment just as often as its used legitimately. In its current form, Extrication has great utility but questionable implementation. Please consider removing the pull from the Extrication ability.
  19. Because antiquated, obsolete game mechanics die hard. There really isnt any good reason to not allow the player to see information that is integral to his/her play and operation. Its just bad game and UI design, like obscuring the speedometer in an automobile or putting hard enrages into boss fights with no way to parse performance.
