  1. Take a breather and step away from the keyboard. If you read the dude's post, he's just trying to make a point about not QQing without actually offering some ideas on how to fix a bug. He gave the example more to fit his explanation than actually advocating that enhancement. Now step back to the keyboard and carry on.
  2. "MEZERMYZE" was out doing stuff on the day they taught spelling
  3. got my /popcorn....this is gonna get good.
  4. and here he is at his first job..... good times
  5. I see it's a game of cat and mouse. I see your cat pic and raise you an animated one
  6. Perfected? Just pin someone against something and roll. As long as you can't roll over it, you're MONEY. The sandbags or the base of the dish in Novare work well. Tons of places in Voidstar and Hypergate.
  7. You're just now realizing how much damage that roll does? Most Eng snipers realized on the PTS that the move is fairly OP. However, I doubt it gets nerfed, because it's situational and not always easy to use. I've pinned a person and wiped them out, but had someone stand right next to them not take any damage. So, I say let's just keep on ROLLING
  8. I still love full Eng. If I solo Q, I only run Eng. The double roll against a wall is sweet against those pesky maras
  9. I wouldn't make Pistol mad....
  10. You're negotiating style is one to be feared
  11. I've played a sniper since Feb 2012. I'm telling you that even "competent" healers will cleanse themselves, but they don't always cleanse others. It's just a simple fact that I've seen playing this game over 1 1/2 years now. As I said in my post, I've done this test in WZ as well. I've run hundreds of WZ using both lethality and the hybrid build. The damage output is on par. As for forum warriors saying they cleanse every little dot put on them, it's just a joke. Do ppl cleanse dots?? Sure, to the point that they hybrid is not effective? Not in a million years. NOBODY IS IGNORING THEM. I'm telling you from practical experience that the damage output between the two builds are on par with each other. However, the burst from the hybrid is better. I'd be more than happy to set up a duel with you if you ever make your way to Pot5. You're just making assumptions here and I'm telling you from practical experience. My nades crit for 3,500 - 4,000 and non-crits are in the 1,800 - 2,500 range. Using nades in the rotation can act as another dot. Besides, your 0/10/36 build misses out on the 30% increase to damage and why would you not take the 2 points in MM that increase your cull damage?? This is just a statement from someone that's never, ever played the spec. You're making assumptions based on ignorance. Run the spec for a week and you'll see these "the healer will cleanse my dots" or "it won't work against a competent team" arguments are just a load of crap.
  12. I've played this hybrid build for almost two months now and I've got Four points to make here: 1) I said this before 2.0 and it hold even more truth post 2.0. OP & Mercs mainly cleanse themselves and not others. I've had zero issues with healers cleansing dots and now that I can immediately re-apply them, it's even easier. So, not having LT isn't much of an issue. 2) I've done the test dummy and WZ. Overall damage output is about the same for the hybrid and full lethality. The main advantage is a bigger burst with the hybrid. Sure EP comes up every 30 sec; however, I'm still Culling in between and hitting them SoS. 3) Nades. Let me write that one more time, because this is a huge difference between the two specs......... Nades. Between Experimental Explosives, Targeted Demolition and Engineer's Tool Belt, the hybrid nades hit for 38% more damage, can be used every 3 seconds and are cheap to use. These babies act just like another dot if used properly and can make up the difference in not having Takedown after Cull. 4) Finally, EMP Discharge is what makes the spec. The ability to reset Shield Probe, Adrenal Probe, Covered Escape and Entrench is hands down awesome. Don't take my word. Try running the spec yourself and you'll see what I mean. The burst damage is there, the overall damage is there, the utility is amazing and energy management is a cake walk.
  13. Running lethality with a couple smashers out front makes it fairly effective or maybe even running double lethality in RWZ (you'd need to ask the bastion ppl about that one). However, if you're team comp is built around single target burst, MM is a much better way to go (IMO).
  14. I've been playing this spec for a while now and love it. Love it a lot more than straight lethality.
  15. Rolled my sniper two months after release and have played it ever since. Hands down my favorite spec is Eng and I have zero clue what "four dots" you're talking about. 1) Keeping IP up is good, but with 2.0 u can easily switch targets with it. 2) Throwing out Corrosive Darts is ok, but I'd rather toss a nade instead. 3) If you're talking about Electrified Railgun, what a freaking waste of time in PVP. Only reason I put a point in the tree is because there's nothing else below it really worth while. What's the fourth dot? Only thing I can possible think of is EP, which I guess could be considered a dot, but given that it's your main burst, doubt anyone forgets about that one.
  16. I laugh my arse off every time I see a Jugg or Guardian pop reflect when I Cull them. Only the white damage is reflected, which for Cull isn't that much (it's the internal damage that gets ya silly). Keep wasting that Reflect on Cull.
  17. Then I suggest we start as many of these threads as possible then.....
  18. I don't disagree, but that's not who I was replying to. Follow the thread and you'll see I ultimately replied to this comment: This comment went beyond just a lvl 30 sniper. It talks about competitive pvp, which most people would relate to lvl 55 or even ranked warzones. So my response is spot on.
  19. THIS!! Pre-2.0, people barely cleansed dots and that hasn't really changed post 2.0. And if they do cleanse, it's typically just themselves and not everyone around them. As the guy above me mentioned, even if you cleanse those dots, I can re-apply them immediately without missing a beat. The only ppl that don't care about getting hit by Cull are tanks with their defensive cooldowns up (without those CD's up, even tanks get hit fairly hard). Otherwise, Cull followed by Takedown hurts like a MoFo and it comes every 9 Sec. So, Lethality just isn't about padding stats........
  20. I run this hybrid Eng/Leth spec a lot: Click Me I'll stay on topic here and won't jump into the full lethality vs hybrid debate. The nades are glorious here. Between Experimental Explosives and Targeted Demolition, you get an extra 38% damage to the nades. My nades crit somewhere between 3.6k - 4k (non crits 1.6k - 1.8k) and we can do this every 3 seconds with next to no energy loss. Non-snipers just don't realize how strong these guys are, because they don't see a 7-8k hits in one hit. They are GLORIOUS! EDIT: I only do pvp so take this build for what it's worth
  21. I just do the double roll and then Takedown. You can even hurt a tank, not kill, but hurt a tank.
