  1. Btw it appears one can still log into any character by ignoring the error message (not clicking OK). Not sure if this could have further consequences when/if they decide to fix things....
  2. Same here but rather "Your game version does not match that of the server. Please restart the game." ... and obviously restarting the game does nothing to help. Every few months the same ... another 24h wait...
  3. Also didn't get any e-mail. Nothing in Spam or Trash folders from the last 5 days.
  4. The patch notes don't mention anything
  5. Actually, I can confirm that the face is still there. It is face type 1 on twilek male body type 2. For whatever reason we simply got switched to face type 2 but we could definitely reverse it at least through the customization kiosk for 80 CC (50% subscriber discount seemingly applied).
  6. Well, I know what they can do at the very least. If they cannot get us our original faces back (why not is beyond me...) then we should at least get the cost of changing the face type on the customization kiosk (80 CC if I'm not mistaken). I personally dislike the new face type very VERY much (mainly because of the eye-line) and would definitely have to change it. Let's see how they reply to the other tickets and potentially this thread.
  7. I have the same issue and I think it is restricted to particularly this face type on males. I also raised a tkt in-game and am awaiting response. I also grilled them for the human-ish ears although this is apparently caused by a memory lapse on my end Fingers crossed for a quick fix!
  8. True, most notably on Hoth and Taris from my experience...
  9. I second that! Hurry with the servers so that I can continue
  10. I thought of another papercut - the travel routes: - they are mapped inefficiently, almost always taking the longest possible route or unnecessarily passing through other travel points - the above but also the weird turns and twists of the speeder/shuttle/cab makes the whole experience annoying at times - also at times the hight and/or speed at which the vehicles fly (e.g. shuttles passing under low tree tops) are totally divorced from "reality" I'd think this is something that should be easily fixable although I've seen how devs of other games ignored it alltogether as well for years. It's either too small an annoyance to bother with or for some reason very hard to fix (why?).
  11. Great thread! ... sadly very hard to read through with so many pages. I hope OP's compilation list would come out soon I just thought of something that fits the papercut definition and I believe hasn't been mentioned before: I love the companion stories and am working on maxing out all their affections (on the 6th character now). This happens by spamming crew missions for gifts as I cannot possibly raise them all with mission conversations (and tbh I don't like switching companions only for conversations). Now, due to randomness of gifts received via missions and the fact that companion preferences are not too systematic I end up with a rather significant stockpile of unused ones when I start a new alt (I'm not selling them while they still have use). Since they take lots of space I have to use them as soon as I get a new companion (according to preference) which raises their affection significantly and usually leads to me running through their story line in batches of 3-4 or more quests at a time (interrupted by class quest checkpoints). Running through the story so fast breaks immersion, of course, and I am left the only option to intentionally postpone conversations so that a more realistic progression is achieved. This, in my opinion, is easily fixable by introducing more hooks / checkpoints which would tie triggering the companion quest to either different part of the class storyline or the character's experience level. In the end, if it is doable, a player shouldn't seek a manual workaround to keep immersion. And to add my voice to something that has probably been posted before - I am very very tired of my double-bladed-lightsaber wielding companions running around with their weapons sheathed but still lit, thus impaling them right through their head or in the case of Ashara both sabers dangling at her sides, potentially shredding robe, pants, legs, etc. to pieces... It is high time this gets fixed as it's been there since the early patches Just yesterday they mentioned on the livestream event, that due to such obvious bugs the game feels buggier than it actually is and I believe that. So my suggestion is - drop development of new content in part or altogether for few weeks or even a month and work only on the overly long list of papercuts. I hope I'm not the only one who feels that desire to see current game experience properly polished already outweighs the desire for immediate new content as new content would come flawed with those same imperfections + others that would inevitably turn up.
  12. I second this. I'm looking forward to trying out the new missions. Thanks, BW!
  13. This would be a lot better than the current limited system and I'd vote for it. I still wonder though - why not simply introduce parallel cosmetic outfit, bind availability of cosmetic slots to cartel coins and profit directly from it? Anything else seems to unnecessarily complicate things. Crafters will be in demand regardless.
  14. Definitely NEW! In order to have the resources also for creation of further "classic" stuff a game needs to continuously stand out. This happens by introducing NEW original things that the competition doesn't offer and keep introducing more every now and again in order to keep your momentum. This counts for any product sold in a fairly competitive entertainment market where you are not the dominant player.
  15. Me too! Imagine everyone briefly snapping to attention the moment you pass them by on the Trooper ship Have companions move around, even if in silence (although this wouldn't do much for crew morale ). And have those that can actually stand each other talk to each other as part of the loop (voiced or not). Whenever you get to introducing Pazaak and the likes you can promote it by putting a game table on the ship and have companions play. If moving around would be problematic, at least have each companion perform some random action in the room that they are ever so sadly and lonely standing in (have the poor souls sit or take a nap for a change) ... I've seen companions move and do stuff in the background in few of the class quest cinematics so the idea has already passed through a dev's head even if briefly.
  16. Agree. I am currently restraining myself as I need to keep one slot for the Cathar... From business perspective BW is losing also from people not being able to roll more characters and therefore not spending any cartel coins on them. In the end it isn't fair to "force" someone to create characters on another server while the Legacy is server- and not account-bound. Many people would decide not to start on another server at all (still many might do it)... In no other game have I been compelled to play and replay all classes so BW did a great job with the game (for me at least) and as said above they should further capitalize on that. A big story-fan like me would want to ideally have at least 2 slots for every class (=16 right now) so that they can see each class story from at least two angles (dark/light, male/female, etc.). Adding another race or class would definitely require another character slot or two. I'm optimistic as BW did raise the slot number from 8 to 12 already, so they are on it
  17. One would think this should have been a given at launch. It is a must and at least from player perspective seems to be easy to implement - a tiny step further from matching colors to chest piece.
  18. 1) Yes or No to Cathar being the new race? .... Probably wouldn't have been my first choice but I'm fine with it. 2) If Yes, why? If No, why not? .... As said by other posters 'any new race is a good thing'. For me personally this means that I would be able to romance Jogan without second thoughts and relive the cool trooper story from a different perspective. 3) If Yes, Species you would also like to see, if any? If No, Species you would rather see, if any? .... Well to be realistic and pick from those that are already in the game - Togruta, Rodian... but also so so many others 4) Do you feel Cathar are too Republic aligned to fit well as a section for the Empire? .... It would seem so on first look but they are strong, passionate & cunning by nature. Hence would be a rather good fit for any of the classes. A story to rationalize their appearance on Empirial side isn't hard to think of. 5) Do you feel Cathar like most already implemented species resemble humans to greatly? .... They do but TBH I rather like the human resemblance or at least it doesn't bother me at all. 6) Addition Pro/Cons towards or against Cathar? .... Nah, I'm sure we will see more races in due time. Regardless of what is said or done there will always be people who agree and like it and those who disagree and dislike it. So Cathar it is then and I'm happy
  19. I would absolutely love this! I am crazy about the class quests where you kinda use all your crew but to be able to actually play through a whole flashpoint with all / some of them - priceless This will give an added incentive to gear them all up and present a challenge. There are simple ways to make playing with other players (far) more profitable than solo-ing the same content and the mechanics are already in place. Pretty dreams aside though, it would probably be a serious challenge for the player if the difficulty level of falshpoints is the same as now. While companions handle themselves decently most of the time they couldn't match the diversity of player actions / decisions in a fight and one would hardly be able to steer them all manually at the same time. Seeing how some of the devs are, they are probably longing for this themselves but then the MMO concept of urging players to group for content is a rule and I would understand if they are reluctant to break away from it. I'd still be happy if they introduce / change some class quests to fully utilize more companions simultaneously.
  20. It would be wonderful indeed... but I doubt we'd ever see it happen as it opposes the nowadays idea behind an MMO. On a separate note - go bravely ahead and solo the HK quest line. You would need to group with another person only for the final quest or could even solo it as well if you are a tank, preferably with a healer companion. I'm no expert at all and soloed everything but the last quest (last boss actually) with a DPS class + DPS companion. You will probably get your butt kicked few times in the process but the end goal justifies it
  21. Another scenario where this comes handy is when you haven't played with a character for awhile. I had dropped my Consular at about level 30 and came back to it in 2 months or so, not remembering what the hell I was supposed to be doing to save the galaxy... Had to watch a walk-through on Youtube in order to get re-immersed in the story. While this works mostly fine it would indeed be so much better if I could watch myself instead of some stranger
  22. While I personally believe that some annoying, even if not critical, bugs are long overdue for a fix, I am happy to admit that SWTOR is the single best and most engaging game that I've ever played and payed for Keep up the good job, guys! You have something very special and with immense potential in your care!
