  1. I've been trying to set up the security app on my iPhone, and each time, I type in the code presented to me on the website, the app starts flashing up numbers, and on entering the code, the site says it can't find my serial number (as in the one it's displaying itself). It's even more frustrating that there's no way to stop the app and try re-entering the code - you have to close it, delete it and redownload it. Are there any known solutions to this?
  2. Depending on who comes out on top during the revolution, NGE will either be remembered as a cautionary tale of what not to do with your game, or hailed as a visionary change that was just ahead of its time. Of course, a year or two later, we'll have Revolution v2.0 which completely changes all historical data regarding the NGE, and thus renders all opinions on it out of date. As much as I realise that the 32 profession "onions" they had in pre-NGE SWG were likely a pain in the backside to maintain, I do think it was good from a gamer perspective. Pain in the neck getting Bounty Hunter maxed because it needed two feeder professions, but still a great system. The only ones I've seen with similar flexibility (although different) were FFXI and FFXIV. Then there was the NGE. Yaaaaay
  3. Nope, Jenovan was right, it's the one on Belsavis I was thinking of http://www.swtor-spy.com/img/datacrons/88/Belsavis_datacron_GreenMatrixShard_image_swtor_2012_01_22_01_21_56_493.jpg I hadn't realised it was used to create a Matrix Shard, I thought it was a (thus far) decorative cube builder (not sure I ever got that shard myself). Either way, there is an existing asset that could be reused if they wanted to. Or they could ignore it and put something new in. Or they could just not do anything, as has been suggested in this thread Only if they want you to upgrade at every tier. The existing tiers are 15, 24, 32 and 50. There are several tiers of PvE gear between each of those gaps, which are not catered to with the existing cubes.
  4. Didn't one of the later planets have a 4-slot cube machine in a temple somewhere? I seem to remember it from a long time ago (so my memory is a little fuzzy). If it is there, it could be that it was always anticipated that cubes would be expanded later. Given that the smallest level jump in existing datacrons is 8 levels, with the jump to 50 being a gap of 18 levels, it's reasonable to think that a gap of 5 levels was not considered enough for new cubes.
  5. I'm in the UK. The delivery for Malgus was $700, but I had to pay £800 (~$1200) in import duties.
  6. That's actually a standard condition with Sideshow contests. I'm not sure why they think it's fair to say "you can have this, if you pay delivery" as part of a contest, but that's what they do. Yep. I have one of those sitting in its boxes here (not got room to put it up until I move house later in the year), but the shipping and import duty combined cost around 30% of the price of the statue. That's relatively low, though, considering the weight of their Terminator put the shipping & import costs up to around 50% of the cost of the item.
  7. In terms of PvP conteent I couldn't comment on that. On gaming in general... I'm guessing you haven't played the recent SimCity. Broken out of the gate, re-broken by many of the patches and fundamentally flawed on many levels. Bioware have a long way to fall before reaching those depths... Interesting to note, though... they're both from EA studios
  8. Where's the love for the sexy blue chicks? My mercenary, with the cutest companion http://pictures.defnet.co.uk/games/swtor/Games_SWTOR_20130423_0001.jpg My operative http://pictures.defnet.co.uk/games/swtor/Games_SWTOR_20130423_0002.jpg Red can be nice, too... my marauder, with the hottest companion http://pictures.defnet.co.uk/games/swtor/Games_SWTOR_20130423_0003.jpg
  9. I made an assumption on Riggz' previous post that he was addressing a question to me. That post confirmed that he wasn't actually addressing me
  10. Shhhhh... we don't talk about that "option". When people go down that route, it leads to 15 pages of threads here about "end backfilling" and "penalise quitters". That just takes away valuable forum space from the far more important "nerf class x" and "give me an 'I win' button" threads
  11. Do you mean me? It's "Veo" (I'm assuming you mean me, since I'm the only one close to "Neo" in this thread ) I have characters on both side of the fence, but my only 50s are imperials. I mainly play a mercenary. Why?
  12. As much as I'd like my aresneal merc to be more useful in PvP, I think making TM an instant cast would make us far too OP, unless they made the cooldown so long as to make it useless. Shortening the cast time a bit would be good, though, possibly through skill points. That way, we'd still be ineterruptible, meaning that our effectiveness could still be impacted by other players, but with less of a chance of an interruption being a problem for us, as either we'd get fewer interrupts, or be able to recover from them quicker.
  13. So... you want to the game to adjust the scores / points to account for some people having better gear than others? What, then, would be the point in having the better gear to begin with? Why would anyone play to improve their gear if they're effectively going to be handicapped for doing so? And then you want an "OMG my team hasn't gone to the same excrutiating effort as me to optimise their builds... they clearly suck" read-out? Lack of this information is part of the game if you're going to join a queue as a solo / pair player. You can't guarantee getting your ideal team unless you join / form a premade. As nice as this may be, there's too many variables for it to be realistic to ideally match opponents. With so many abilities and skill trees in operation, an algorithm to return "ideal" matchups would take forever to run, if it's even possible. Once you then also account for PvP queue composition at any given time, you basically have to throw your optimisation out of the window, anyway, as you can't guarantee an ideally optimisable pool of players.
  14. He said not the "literal mirror", but the "spiritual mirror". Although, in-game, BH is mirrored by trooper, lore-wise, BH is "mirrored" by smugglers (note that Vader didn't send spies after Han Solo, he sent bounty hunters). This "spiritual mirror" makes sense in the terms of the OP, too - neither BH nor smuggler should really have any alignment. They should be neutral, or at least have the option of neutrality, as they both work for the highest bidder.
  15. I'd like to see other planets from the earlier KoTOR games; I loved seeing Taris and walking around the Endar Spire. Something like that with other "300 years later" scenarios would be good. Personally, I'd love it if they introduced a "wreck of the Star Forge", potentially as both a standard zone and as an associated space combat zone.
