  1. This is also affecting me. Class quest vanished for my 35 juggernaut on alderaan. It was the last story I needed for legend status too. Sadface.
  2. What a crock, on all counts. One of the best specs? "Buffed more?" Are you high? The only possible way a Concealment can score even remotely that high is on add-heavy fights such as EC Kephess or the first boss of TfB when Orbital hits absolutely everything and produces inflated numbers. Which Lethality can also do, to much greater effect. Nice lie, try again! Try this on a dummie, and weep at the results, but please stop spewing false information. Concealment is hands down the worst.
  3. Bcuz lightsabers should be the hands down masters of every area, everything is just fodder to make them look even more impressively invincible. You know, like the movies/other media but more interactive. They should just say "don't bother being anything but a jedi, it's not star wars enough!" Yet Juggs leaping three/four times in a row in less than 5 seconds (at no rage cost) is perfectly fine. But hey, the roll is likely to be nerfed anyway since the devs and community are more than happy to allow operative to never succeed at anything. You should be happy. Merry Christmas! Nerf Operatives!
  4. You've said mostly true things, but Imma have to nitpick this part. Some of us are worried that if we get our damage back the way it was, this awful community will just tear us down once again (they keep crying over some tiny huttball advantage that exfiltrate gives when we have literally nothing else to bring to huttball, for instance). The least we can do is survive longer than 3-5 GCDs without needing to combat stealth, but it doesn't even look like they can grant us this much. EAware is too incompetent/apathetic to bother finding a suitable middle ground for the DPS Op. And no I don't think they ever realized the nerf was a mistake, else they never would have gone through with that stupid cover nerf. The one that accomplished nothing than ensuring we're fodder for huttball and will forever be healers or reroll to glowstick heroes. Fact is, some of our DPS burst WAS our defense. We could actually kill things before they killed us. This was apparently too much for the community to handle so the repeated nerfs were carried out, and we were given nothing in return. Except Exfiltrate, which we don't get until alllll the way until 51 and everyone whines is overpowered no matter how 'meh' it really is, so I suspect that's due for a nerf someday also. Bioware always has to listen to their baddie glowstick heroes who feel they've been outmatched. The rest of us can just unsub.
  5. I've never needed a special mouse or extra buttons for keybinds. Try playing TERA online, it's free and even though its combat is fundamentally different it serves as really good keybinding practice. You literally cannot click in that game at all! If you can get used to TERA combat you can take what you learned and apply it here.
  6. If there was no gear grind, pvp would be a useless venture since commendations wouldn't do anything. Not everyone finds enjoyment in the sheer aspect of pvp, there needs to be a reason to do it. Without it, pvp probably wouldn't exist.
  7. Are you a troll? It's hard to believe anyone's this ignorant, especially about a class they claim to "pwn" as. I'm more compelled to believe you've only played operative one time in a very good premade against the worst pug imaginable. Nobody who seriously plays operative would honestly defend our pathetic choice of defenses. Shield Probe is even weaker than static barrier with a much longer downtime. Dodge's cooldown is also too long and not only does it last a paltry 3 seconds, it only works against weapon damage. Surely you know what that means, the majority of attacks in the game can still kill us flat with minimal effort. My favorite part is a tie between you saying Roll into Cover is a legitimate means of utility and saying "stay 5m away from your target so they can't melee you back"...just...ugh...Why do moronic dweebs like this continue to exist? This is why EA made operative the worst class in the game, for believing tards like you. Since you can't possibly be a serious operative player, perhaps i should educate you. In order to execute Roll into Cover, you must fulfill two requirements. One is having a suitable obstacle directly in front of your Line of Sight. The other is to have an enemy standing at the far side so that the obstacle is in between both you and your enemy. You must also be targeting said enemy. Not ONLY is this incredibly flimsy and situational (we can now be leapt from cover as well, making it even more useless), but it's been broken for many months/years now. The majority of the time, your roll will stop short of your destination for no reason at all. I've reported this issue to BW more than once, but as has been proven time and again they don't give a rat's funk about operative at all (although it affects snipers too, so that part is puzzling), and are content to leave it not only weak, but horribly bugged and inoperable. Anyway, if someone's chasing you, chances are by the time you get Roll into Cover to actually work you'll be long dead. Seems like everyone's burst evolved in 2.0 except ours, making us even more pathetic. Try actually playing the class seriously before you make idiotic comments which prove you're nothing but a clown who doesn't know what he's talking about.
  8. Dirty Fighting's decent enough but most guilds would rather take sages, commandos or sentinels for their ops dps. All of which can outperform us drastically. Scrapper is pitiful and not even worth mentioning in 95% of the game environment, and it's never going to improve because BW has no idea what they are doing. If you don't want to be pigeonholed into healing 24/7, I'd suggest staying away from the class.
  9. Oh look, an EZ roller who has no idea how exfiltrate (or operative in general) works. Never seen that before, ever.
  10. Confirmed Pay2Win? Groovy, least I won't need to feel bad about unsubbing, cuz this this officially killed any appeal GSF had. Not that it would've been able to keep me in the game by itself anyway.
  11. This has to be a troll post...or maybe it isn't. Operatives are the least-liked class and always getting kicked around, so a high degree of ignorance is expected from both devs and players who refuse to play them. People are clueless on how they actually work. Same reason why so many kids cry about the roll when it's underwhelming at best. Allow me to enlighten you. We were never immune to interrupts while in cover, that's a Sniper thing. Also, escaping from combat to cast emergency heals on ourselves without fear of getting bounced on by the cavalcade of warriors running around out there was one of our very few defenses. You probably don't know this, but nothing goes down faster than an operative outside of stealth. Why don't you know this? Because, my friend, not only do you not play an operative, but nobody else does either. They are the worst class in the game, and nobody seems to care, as they're content to retreat to the safety of their low skillcap glowstick heroes. Some of us are not content with this, and have fought as hard as we can to make the operative viable again. Sadly, all our efforts are basically in vain as the devs and the community couldn't care less about real class balance. Operatives only exist in warzones as healers now, and those of us who wanted desperately to see the situation improve have been sharply kicked in the face and spat on once again by the clueless developers who run this freak show. Imagine if warriors had to pay rage to Charge. Imagine if their only DCD was a pitifully weak version of Static Barrier. Imagine if Ravage could not only be interrupted, but hit for 3k total in most situations. Imagine if you had virtually no special procs except for a very small alacrity boost and all of your damage skills do roughly 70% less what they do now - they also require you to be behind your enemy at all times. That is a dps operative. Now imagine you're about to get nerfed yet again...with, say, being unable to move while attacking lest they suffer a 90% accuracy penalty. Oh, and they'll also take heavy DoT damage while in motion just because. It isn't fair at all, is it? Well, neither is this. I'm glad to be given this chance to teach you all a little empathy. ♪ Heck, I didn't even mention our ability to cap in cover. Which was still easily interrupted but...oh, who cares. I know nobody does.
  12. You make some good points without the usual mindless QQing "omg nerf operatives" bad posts I see around here. All I can say is I respectfully disagree. Force users already outperform operatives in all areas (except for healing I suppose) and us having a little extra mobility should not be seen as a detriment. Personally, I'd like Exfiltrate to be completely reworked. Perhaps instead of a free range forward 12m roll it should rely on an enemy target and instantly makes the operative vanish and reappear behind the enemy. Basically, just like Rogue's Shadowstep in WoW. It'd have similar mechanics as Charge, granting us a free TA as well as be usable from stealth. We also shouldn't have to wait until level 51 to gain such mobile skills. Not that any of this will ever happen, because Bioware doesn't give a rat's hoot about operative at all anymore. There's just so much that needs to be completely reworked with this dreadfully broken class. As is, it's completely dead. Viewed only as a healer, which is dead enough in my head.
  13. Yeah, well, our dps trees are garbage and in no way viable (and they won't be fixed anytime soon if ever at all). So you can't honestly fault people speccing for heals in order to have a place in the grand scheme. So healers is what you get. They're not invincible anyway if you actually use your head.
  14. Is there actually a way to see people's specs on the leaderboards? Not that I'd need to to know that every op/scoundrel on there is a healer.
  15. Sans healing, anything an op can do a merc can do better. Hell, anything an op can do ANYTHING can do better. Stealth is negligible, cover is being nerfed. Every class has a chance; dps operative has none. Period. And yes I have played every class and spec, so I know firsthand, it's the most obvious conclusion that the devs and the community chooses to ignore. ♪
  16. Scrapper is slightly better for short fights like between-boss trash, but generally not worth it. DF pulls out vastly superior sustained numbers and doesn't depend on finnicky stealth and positioning requirements at all times. It probably still won't beat Gunnery Commandos, Sages or Sentinels but it's decent. Assuming your group doesn't force you to go heals. Word of advice on that subject - do NOT gear out a heal set or mention you're willing to go heals because that's literally all your group will make you do. Unless you're perfectly fine being a fulltime healer, go for it.
  17. Yeeeeah, except concealment is god awful in PvE as well (unless soloing certain heroics or something, I guess), so they're all adequate points to bring up. Yet another Operative bites the dust. Farewell and godspeed, comrade.
  18. Not just the dev team, but this awful and sniveling community has always done everything in its power to denounce the op/scoundrel and I'm sure would be quite happy to see it deleted from the game. I'm actually inclined to agree with them on this, maybe it's time to put the AC out of its misery and admit that agents and smugglers were born to be ranged snipers and gunslingers only. They cry about healing, they cried about our shanking back in the day, and they're still crying about the roll. It does not end. Now, there won't be a cover mechanic any longer either. Truly, the jedi and sith are the only ones who matter in this universe in spite of all the diversity and lore we've gotten used to. This class has suffered from neglect and scorn for such a long time. One tree is overtuned while the other two may as well not exist. It's like a see-saw that they just can't/won't get right. Because they don't care. If they cared they'd actually devote some effort into what the class needs instead of making new cash shop crap every single month. I've played every AC and spec. They can all hold their own and are incredibly solid (xcept balance shadow which is confirmed getting buffed soon), quite easy to top the charts with all of 'em. DPS operatives are the only ones that flounder and fail at all they attempt. There's a reason you never see them in warzones at all anymore. I miss them, both as allies and foes. Being taken by surprise was a great form of reaction training, but people don't want to adapt or roll with the punches. They'll just scream for more and more nerfs to compensate for their ineptitude and lack of patience to L2P. Thus is the fate of the DPS operative. Take a moment of silent reflection to reminisce about our faded glory...then go play WoW Rogue and see how it's done right. BW's not smart enough to get it.
  19. You've clearly never actually played scoundrel yourself. Cover was tactically pivotal in getting off emergency heals on ourselves after taking a beating (which we take harder than anyone else), yet it was still easily interrupted so it wasn't foolproof. There's also capping an objective while crouching in cover, but this too was easily interrupted since warriors have 30m saber throws. Yet it's deemed "too powerful" while warriors and vanguards and assassins can destroy all in their path and virtually never die. So very funny. Wanna know what one of the biggest downsides of cover was? Hm, I dunno...maybe the immobility? But, hey, it's overpowered if the weakest class in the game has a little something to help them stand on their toes. Nerf it. (Before you mention healers, this nerf won't affect them at all, trust me. They will just be mobile like they always are.) It was also necessary when attempting to go the distance against any competent knight/warrior, but I guess that's overpowered too. So when we open up on one with our piddling 3k non-crits they'll decimate us in a few GCDs because that's "balance." So now I guess if we accidentally open on someone without realizing they're a marauder we can just crumple into a ball and cry silently, praying for a swift death. Because that's all that's going to happen. Some of us actually didn't like being healers, but this god awful community despises scoundrels no matter what shape they take, and won't be satisfied until the whole AC has nothing left for the sake of preserving their magical glowstick heroes. Don't forget to nerf the roll too, I love all the suggestions so far - reduce its distance, double its energy cost, give it a 20-second cooldown. Hell, do all of those. Let's keep hammering those overpowered scoundrels. Never seen anything so sad yet hilarious in my life.
  20. Pretty sure this is a troll post, but feast thine eyes regardless. The moronic, ill-thought out cover nerf won't harm healers in the slightest. Sure, we could crouch down to avoid leapers, but do you realize there's a downside to cover? It has to do with being immobile and easy to catch up to. All this will do is ensure the only kind of operative you ever see will be the healing kind that you're too bad to kill. They'll be just as mobile and slippery as ever, and nobody will ever play dps again. Except me, it's my favorite class and I'm doomed to a life of mediocrity. It was all the baddies' crying that got us overtuned healers and underwhelming dps. You reap what you sow, kids.
  21. I'd love for commando to get some more mobility/utility, their DPS has always been pretty good. Nothing will ever be as awful as DPS operatives, so chin up.
  22. Mmm, season 1 without any class balance. (or cross server queues) This'll go over well. What should operatives do if they don't want to be healers and still compete? What a joke.
