  1. You forgot about... Cloak of pain that increase their mitigation by 20% while doing damage back to you up to 30 seconds. Undying Rage their god mode. Also they can pop CD and instantly get BACK to 30 rage and pop Predation that increase their movement speed by 80% for 10 second. (Anni Marauder) And non-brain dead serious pvp marauder IS anni spec rightnow this means their force charge has no dead zone and works from 0-30m. Capable marauder players uses this talent as an additional interrupt. The best sorc vs the best marauder with all CDs up, marauder will destroy the sorc. As a sorc facing a marauder you should be CCing them and reduce their uptime on you and try to get back to your teammates. Even if you did everything right and trying to 1v1 the marauder, you will die the second his resolve bar turns white (this usually means its time for (good marauder), leaps to you and perma slow you while pop undying rage (if needed) and you WILL die very quickly).
  2. It feels amazing strange that the lowest armored class out of all ACs also has the lowest burst dps capability of the entire game of SWTOR across all advance classes. PvP-wise I guess its BW's way to tell you "Lern2useUrccThatsWhyWeGaveUThose". So a proper 1.2 DPS sorc playstyle should be dot dot dot run away dot dot dot CC run away dot dot dot. Pure lightning playstyle will be weak nuke weak nuke very weak nuke CC run away moderate weak nuke, weak nuke, decently weak nuke, CC run away and repeat. Burst and Sorc should no longer be put in same sentence, Healing OR DPS.
  3. Yet our Dots dont tick as hard as other classes and our Lightning doesnt burst as hard as other classes neither. So maybe BW wants sorcs to be support dps only judging by all the CC talents in lightning tree.
  4. I laughed when I read that someone said Locks cannot burst............ not only they can burst they can do it extremely well WHILE they chain CC you.
  5. Unique weakness is as everyone said we are the only class without ANY defensive CD. We rely on our bubble and heals which sucks if you are DPS sorc. Easiest class in game to get focused down. You get CCs to help you survive. And you have the lowest burst class in the entire game across all AC. So if you think sorc is like a mage in other major MMOs in 1.2, you are dead wrong. In 1.2 you have the defense of a mage, dps of a full tanking spec tank (slightly lower burst), but you have a lot of CC ability to help your team. I think BW envisions sorcs as the "support" class in this game.
  6. BW has yet to revert/change anything that they put on public test to date so far. So Mark My Words There will be no further changes in regards to Sorc/Sage and Merc/Commando in any manner. The beta note you see are whats going into 1.2 Live. And their undercover hidden stealth testing method really doesnt help neither.
  7. With the change to force bending... Innervate is now sorcs bursty heal (which is very bad). Innervate with bonus crit = higher healing over time than DI. 2.5 second casting time thats not reducible is very bad. Dark Heal even with 100% crit isnt really cutting it. Especially at 50 force cost. Dark Heal crit is < Dark Infusion none crit. All other healing capable classes' main heal are 2.0 second cast and packs little more punch than DI. And now if the sorc/sage tries to burst heal which is not possible now because innervate has a CD on it and DI is taking forever even with the lower average healing number. Healing overall has become the following. 1. Merc/Commando healer is the new best burst healing class. They can burst heal very quickly but after a couple heals they now need to use vent heat to continue their burst heal. 2. Sorc/Sage healer remain the best AoE healer, with Single target heal and sustained healing pushed to the button of the chart. If the tank is taking spiky damage and innervate is on CD, you might have a dead tank by he time 2.5s DI finishes casting. Why? Force Bending from resurgence is most likely already used up by innervate. Now you have 2 choices... 1.5s Dark Heal (1.3k heal) or 2.5s Dark Infusion (2.5k heal). 3. Operative/Scoundrel is very balanced overall healer. They dont burst heal as well as Merc and dont AoE heal as good Sorc BUT they are perfect in movement heavy fight new Operation EC might have heavy movement fight where operatives stacking hot and instant heals shines. With proper rotation they can still sustain very decent single target damage. Anyways despite that in PvP burst healing is king where sorcs lack sorcs healers are also not looking so hot in pve. Hopefully you find some of the points useful.
  8. Always cast with wrath. Hard casting it means you are losing out 2 ticks of force lightning. Unless you are pulling/initiating a fight.
  9. Maybe hes rerolling BH for DPS since it has a lot simpler dps rotation and can actually burst people down + the heavy armor. Using either 31pt ultimate dps spell sorcs got makes you feel like they are tracer missile with 50% of the damage plus a cooldown.
  10. Sorc is the weakest burst dps class out of all existing ACs. You got this right. And burst is the **** in pvp. In fact the Sorc roles should be changed to "AoE only Healer/Hutball Assistance" since "Healer/Dps" is not up on par especially in the DPS department.

  12. Because its too much work to maintain SWTOR and BW dont want to do it, and figured out the best way to shift peoples focus so they can slowly kill this game off. And eventually pushing people to go to something like this. Oh F2P w/ Cash Shop is better money anyways.
  13. My 1st thought is Chain Lightning is very much intended to be used with wrath proc when TOR was released. You would think 3.0 second casting time on CL would mean that somewhat its intended to be used along with wrath... but NOOO because QQers. Destorying an entire play style us very bad and unforgiving in any MMO. I mean the healing nerf makes it so running healing/dps hybrid in PvP not viable anymore so this along is very punishing already because self healing is half of our "mitigation" any none bads would know sorc/sage is by far the squishiest class in game and unlike Operatives we dont have stealth and vanish for a quick "oh ****". And on top of the healing nerfbat they take away our ONLY burst thats actually useable in PvP. I cant imaging going full Lightning and try to hard care lighting strike for a LOL <1000 dmg then try to hard cast 3.0 second chain lightning and what's even worse? Our thundering blast doesnt even crit as hard as chain lightning and its also not instant cast and its also got a fairly long CD... Do BW actually think hard casting EVERYTHING as lightning sorc is even remotely viable in PvP (AND the damage is laughable compare to loltracer and lolgrav)? And unlike ALL other classes we dont even have a defensive CD... at least BH has access to anti-interrupt... what do we have??? oh yea 2.5 second cast heal that heals for 2k-ish damage with trauma. IMO either 1. Leave wrath chain lightning along, and take away the 20% damage bonus from wrath. 2. If it was our AoE thats OP then make lightning strike worth casting with wrath... it should do at least what chain lighting is hitting for rightnow so we have some kind of none hard casting burst and thats single target only. 3k crit is pretty laughable already thesedays when loltracer can crit 4k+. As it stands lightning strike is a dps loss compare to straight up force lightning spam due to its laughable damage (about 40% weaker than CL and is single target 3. Fix our top end talents and our 31pt spells so they are not laughed by any marauder comes along the way. e.g The entire duration of creeping darkness worth of damage used with max dot talent and deathmark is less than 1 single Annihilate or Smash hit which is instant. Ok thats the suggestions heres some findings that might interest you. 1. Healing is not viable in fast paced PvP due to trauma penalty and 2.5 second DI is also not viable. 2. 60% Dark Heal crit with 76.89% surge bonus heals for on average 2k damage in PvP. Yes for 50 focus you can heal for about 2000 in 1.5 second ONCE after using force bending. 3. No change in thundering blast, damage is still very low. 4. Creeping Darkness is still not viable... its like thundering blast but the damage is dealt over 18 seconds. 5. Death Field is our biggest burstiest instant cast spell crits for about 2.5k fully buffed. 6. Chain Lightning is our biggest casted spell with 3.0 second cast. With my buddy on his marauder (very good marauder mind you) I died before I can get 1 single cast of chain lightning off (I have 16850hp 20.12% mitigation) between his disruption -> force choke -> disruption cycle. 7. Dps sorc has no viable burst no matter how you spec. 8. We are just as stationary as Merc/Commando minus the quick burst they are capable off. 9. Our Dark Infusion heal (2.5s cast) heals slightly less than BH/Operative's 2.0 second heals. Well enjoy. Anyone on PTS feel free to add their findings.
  14. It will be fine if it was a viable spec in PvP as DPS. Sorc DPS will have the least amount of burst. So I guess if you can run/los very well and have healers healing you, you can just dot dot dot, I mean it will take you about 5 minutes if your victim wasnt getting a single point of heal to kill one guy if you do run dot spec. Basically as a DPS sorc you just pump out as much damage as you can before you die, and the marauder will clear out the field for you. And if you run lightning spec, cross your finger and hope every single melee that you attack dont know how to interrupt. And if you see a marauder coming at you and u dont have your friends without... just /cry and die... or pray that marauder has some IRL issue and had to go AFK while fighting you... in that case you can take your time and kill him no problem at all.
  15. Creeping terror should deal at least double its current damage. Thundering Blast should have either 1. No cooldown with 30% more damage 2. 9 second cooldown instant cast with 30% more damage Well actually I think even with those mentioned above will still not fix sorcs. Our DPS trees are completely joke compare to the capability of a marauder/sent which are in process of getting a major buff.
  16. This is not a QQ post. Okay... Well I guess it's my fault believing BW saying Sorc as viable DPS in PvP/PvE. I think viable dps Sorc/sage will be subpar dps with possibly the weakest burst damage among ALL the DPS capable ACs and is actually subpar against even some of the tanking/healing capable AC...... especially in PvP. So what would you guys do in preparation for 1.2 in order to beat those even more beefed up 1.2 marauders/sents? And overall playing as a solid DPS PvP Sorc in 1.2?
  17. They nerf our heal and the only burst (chain lightning) we got into the ground. I feel that making lightning strike to do as much damage as chain lightning is punishing enough but NOO they want to keep lightning strike completely ****** AND kill an entire playstyle. And BW dont you guys realize wrath proc lightning strike is LOWER DPS than straight up force lightning spam right? due to GCD limitation and the super low base damage/coefficient of lightning strike. What are you thinking BW? Are you challenging the most popular class and dare people and assume they wont leave for games like Diablo 3? Adjustments are different than deleting an entire playstyle (possibly the ONLY viable PvP Dps sorc playerstyle). Learn to DEV? I am leveling a marauder rightnow. I will try to get to BM before 1.2 bs changes hits, making sorcs/sages unplayable in PvP is just stupid. Marauder already dominates and they are super buffing them for 1.2. Sorcs already has weak burst and now they are completely taking our burst away. Thundering Burst crits dont even come close to most Commando spammables and its 31pt with a long cast time AND a cooldown? Leveling a marauder rightnow as the current dominating class which will get even better in 1.2, so at least I have something to fall back onto when they kill sorc/sage AC in 1.2.
  18. Hopefully 1.2 changes that. Introduce a new currency BM Commendation Fragment 5 BM Commendation Fragments can be traded in for 1 BM Commendation. Really tho I think BM bag should always contain 1 BM Commendation Fragment + 15 Champion Comm with 10% chance of getting 1 BM Comm + 15 Champion Comms (since BW is so much in love with RNG progression for PvP gear.)
  19. Backlash is your one savoir skill vs a good operative/scoundrel that knows how to play. Any OPerative/Scoundrel that cant kill any sorc/sage without the bubble blind 1v1 we exclude them from our A-list premade group. Anyways the blind is so useful its my counter vs good operatives/marauders.
  20. Coz they mention new color crystal will come live. Rainbow Color Crystal: +58 Power That will shift thru 7 different colors. and Pure black color crystal: +82 Power its pure black and has chance to proc SW theme song for 6 seconds.
  21. You realize if you finish your dailies everyday, you WILL finish weeklies every week right? You should be getting 16 bags a week + 1 BM Comm with 1000/1000. It takes about 50 WZ (which means 150 ilum pick ups - weekly done) to get 4000 WZ comm on average.
  22. This is still possible if the marauder/sent dont really know how to play it and/or is undergeared. BM Marauder/Sent and unable to kill any sorc/sage? Read up on your class forum and learn how to play it better. It really isnt the class isnt working. The problem is YOU.
  23. LoL I am surprised no bads have mentioned Sage/Sorc yet. I mean they are so OP that they will faceroll anything and everything 1v1 spamming lightning and rubble kthxbye.

    sorcs op?

    I am a bit worry about my sorc performance in rated WZ. I guess I might still be useful as a healing bot for the superior premium "destroyer" classes like marauder. My best buddy played a marauder and we are arguably one of the best duo on our server. We are both BM/Rakata re-moded to the teeth, and we routinely take on 3 to 4 players (up to our record 7). I run tri-spec offheal. I often find myself being focused and watching my buddy destory everyone thats on me in matter of seconds while I try to survive/kite/los the other team's focus fire (they are as well premades) and giving time for my buddy to lay them flat 1 by 1. We duo defended side turret vs 4+ enemy. Often time I will die due to focus fire after we killed 3 and my friend would pop undying rage to finish up the 4th while dot self healing and kill the 5th by the time I am back to the node off speeder and will heal him back up, just to stand still and watch the other the 5 we just killed to give up and turn around to go take other nodes half way back to us for more humiliation. Then I think about it, I am just a healing bot and a bait for my friends as the enemy will be focusing me knowing I would be healing the marauder if I dont die. Over the entire WZ even tho I am heavily AoEing, he often surpass my dps by nearly exclusively doing single target damage. When we were both fresh 50, I was able to slap him around EASY. Now as we both advanced in gear... I stand no chance against him 1v1. He rips me apart every time as he should. Here's the "usual" fight breakdown in case newbs dont know what's going on. 1. He use his run speed to me slow me and started wacking me. 2. I force slow kite him, he force leap back to me slow me and keep pounding on me. 3. I overload knock him back, he force chock me as he lands, I pop freakfree hes back in melee slowed me and wacking me again. 4. I then force slow force speed to create space and turn around to force lightning kiting him while using procs on CL for max dps on him, he pop force camouflage (aka 4 second vanish with +speed) so the afore mentioned kiting doesnt work. He reveals himself in melee and slowed me and continue killing me. 5. I force slow, knock him back hes force leap is back and he jumps to me again. Even if I get lucky and get to kite him a bit and score some pretty crits, he pops undying rage, I eletrocute him he breaks free and I am doomed because his resolve is already white. Marauder has way more counter measures to beat sorcs utilities not mentioning their defensive cd + 99% mitigation undying rage. People really have no clue, sorc is on the weak side against most all classes 1v1, the utilities give us time and help us survive longer while in hope your friends will come RESCUE you from the premium class will inevitably kill you soon or later. I also have a rank 52 scoundrel on different server as republic. And is in the process of leveling a level 36 PT in pyrotech spec that I feel much more confortable as a "formidable dps" class even tho Powertech is wearing heavy armor and is very tanky, my single target DPS will crap on any sorc/sage easily... WZs rightnow has "objectives" which made sorcs shine due to the supportive nature of the class. If there was an "Arena" PvP in the future where the "objectives" are "KILLKILLKILL" and nothing changes, sorcs will be nothing but a 2nd rated healer behind merc/commandos. Its sad that many people dont see why.
