  1. And what if my sense of achieve requires me to be rewarded rakata gear that only come from HM Ops? Mine is go to the max and attempt all game contents available yours is to gimp urself by stripping yourself naked and repeat something that my little can kill normally. its like an Olympic Athlete compete with some 7 yr old in 100m run and win and be all proud of himself coz he gave the kid 5 second head start...... ahh sense of accomplishment...... too bad this is earth.
  2. Its sense of achievement. My grandma and my little sister can solo dailies basically everyone and their mom can solo and win those. But there are only a a handful of people beating HM Ops.
  3. Normally during progression in most MMOs (swtor included) means chain wiping especially when you try to do Hardmode OPs and have never done it before. Maybe you kill mobs in Korriban for 16 hours straight everyday on ur level 50 toon/getting carried by a strong guild/never do anything relatively hard you dont feel the repairing bill. Try with full set of gear with lv56 epic mods on them and die a couple time you will see how 7k credit per daily isnt really enough to cover it. The greatest guilds in progression PvE in the history polly have wiped in instances more times then you have crapped since you were born. You cannot compare softcore carebears to hardcore players. But yea bads in greens and crap gear dont feel the repairing bill which is quite understandable and people who do solo dailies only and grind pvp really have no issue. Issue comes in when group/guild of players trying to beat their HM Ops/FPs for the 1st time without relying on the walkthroughs online even with guides to the FPs/OPs they are still not easy to finish let along finishing without ever dying.
  4. Its allowed because you are paying for multiple accounts while playing them "attended". And I also doubt that BW will ban anything even if they are playing "unattended" aka botting. Not many mmo producers got the balls to ban thousands of accounts in 1 go like Blizzard. however they do have the other couple million players paying for their subs (maybe more than 1 account as well for the purpose of multiboxing) so even if they can ban say 1000 accounts a day it will still take em a few years before wow becomes unprofitable. Remember that youtube video 2 guilds farming each other trading death in Ilum (abusing the 350% valor gain) for quick 60+ valor levels in a few hours? No mention from BW, Blizzard would possibly tracked em down and post a public warning and suspend a few accounts for that kind of behavior.
  5. Flight simulator game wont technically work that well neither. I dont travel in spaceship on day to day basis and I dont know too many pilot with spaceship traveling licenses. Railed space combat is fine. If anything more maps thats about it.
  6. Plant A -> Spaceport Shuttle -> Spaceport -> Take the Elevator -> Class Airlock -> Ship -> Traveling Console -> Class Airlock -> Elevator -> Plant C Spaceport -> Spaceport Shuttle -> Plant B. There you go. Too much? Depending on individual's perspective.
  7. Title says it all. Here's some suggestions. 1. Merge servers there arent really that many players on "most" of the shards. 2. Rep/Emp faction imbalance issue. Rep premades gets instant lv50 queue and trashes most pugs if not all on light/med pop servers while Empire players suffers from no PvP queue and even then if they do get pop, they are forced to fight premades, forced to fight against Rep premades. 20 loses in a row to Reps is everyday business on many shards. 3. If theres no server merger then at least add LFD tool and allow cross shard queuing for both PvP and PvE. While my char on The Harbinger (Heavy/Full Pop shard) sees 200+ players in imperial fleet during prime time, my alt on light pop servers have yet to see more than 50 people at a time averaging 20 to 30 during prime time (4 to 8pm server time). It's pathetic to find a group even for flash point on most servers. 4. How come General Chat isnt universal across all zones? I understand SWTOR is sewn together in thousands of instances but spliting General Chat is very very annoying and directly impact players trying to look for group for FPs. e.g Players on Imperial Fleet "general chat" cannot communicate with players on say Voss or Ilum. Whispering directly works but why not apply it to the entire General Chat. WoW/Rift all have universal cross all zone/instance general chat, why cant SWTOR do it? 5. Where's our combatlog? I think SWTOR is the only major (if swtor even counts as a major release) MMO Release that doesnt come with even a combatlog. Current state of Swtor is behind the functionalities and refinement of Vanilla WoW from a decade ago. 6. Macro support? And I am not even gonna expect the macro system to be refined in anyway, but stuff like cast @mouseover [ops frame] so hybrid dps/healer are not forced to switch target everytime they should heal someone in their party then switch back to the main target they were targeting especially in chaotic situation like Warzones where players stand on top of each other. These are just some of the aspects that SWTOR can implement, while there are a good amount of Starwars fans supporting this game (quite possibly the reason why swtor hasnt died yet) but the quality of the game in itself (outside of the quest lines) is currently behind even some of the crappy F2P games from China. I know I will probably draw a lot of kiddie wowbads coming in here to flame me because swtor is now their entire life just like they were playing wow. Flaming wowbads really doesnt affect me as I have gained the immunity dealing with the wowbad 12-yr olds arguing for the sake of arguing with zero constructive criticism from them. I just wanna put the ideas out there in case JUST IN CASE, Bioware is seriously about keeping SWTOR in a long run without having to go F2P.
  8. I killed Thanaton when I was level 48 with corruption spec and dot hims while healing Xelak. Move out of his AoE and companion on passive for repositioning but really if you have corruption up to resurgence buff talent its very easy even at 48.
  9. Yea I have revised my spec and am trying that rightnow. Sorry about the wowbads flooding the thread. It works pretty well so far. At very least it forces the smuggler to immidiately burn their CC break works wonders. It gave me enough time to recover from the knock down. Its actually more useful than it seems especially against those front damage loaders. Thanks again. Edit: its funny apparently everytime my shield goes down it does an AoE CC to EVERYONE around me not just the smuggler no cooldown for the effect neither.
  10. Thanks at least I know not only I have to face people that knows how to play. I am borderline unkillable running tri-spec for PvP similar to hoko's and I can get 8 to 10 metals in 1 game especially in Hutball. But my problem is again as I point out the enemy pvp guild now assign a smuggler on me whenever we join WZ. And the burst damage is far great that we have to run an offhealer to keep me alive. Even if I survive the burst 1 shot from their snipers will kill me. If I am able to survive and heal back up I will kill that very smuggler 1v1 however. Baddie smuggler that I have no problem with but really 14k with a static barrier before their little knock wears off isnt exaggeration. I talked to the dude he said hes spec is to burst down someone real quick and he cant really sustain the damage and the burst works exceptionally well against lightly armored opponent. Theres servers with extra baddie and server with known organized premades. I still dont see anyone with anything useful tactics, other than SPAM STATIC SHIELD IT ABSORBE 59023871409k damage l2p. Hopefully swtor class forum can be more useful than wowkids baddies on WoW forums. And we already got a couple wowkids in here as it seems like.
  11. Its 14k damage with a fresh static barrier and I will die even if I get a 2nd static barrier off. Sorry maybe your server have ****** pvpers but not on mine. So let me put it in this way. If a good smuggler that knows how to play was able to burst you thru your static barrier for 14k damage before the knock down wears off, how do you recover at that point? (about 500-1000hp left). Hopefully a sorc play that knows how to play would give some suggestion other than l2p when the comment givers dont even know how2play.
  12. Basically I had my friend on the other side showing me his combo. Hes able to front load about 12000-14000 damage within 1 stun/knock down. Unbreakable Will is only up once every 2 minutes and 14000 damage in 4 seconds pretty much means I am dead before I can fight back/heal/do anything. And if you survive with 500hp left and get a shield off, their burst will do more than your shield b4 you can heal and kill you then if you didnt already died in 4 seconds when they jumped you. Any idea how to survive those 14000 damage front loaded damage from stealth that seems everyone and their mom is running rightnow? (My front who showed me his combo was a Scoundrel running some melee/stealth spec). We did some tests too. On average combo by the time I wake up (assuming I dont unbreakable will out of his opening stun) he puts out 80% to 100%+ of my maximum HP (i have 14892hp, 200ish expertise rating). No one has any problem fighting these 14k damage in 1 stun from stealth class? or is our brother Assassins doing the exact same thing to other people like them scoundrels? Thanks.
  13. Yes thats exactly why it went to F2P polly. FAIL respec system is fail. In contrast WoW has dual spec which is not even the extreme example. Rift currently has FIVE(5) specs that you can switch on the fly, and in a few weeks they are adding a 6th spec slot. And the actual "respec" is "capped" at 50g for max level character. How much is 50g? its basically 50 silver in wow or 500 credit in SWTOR worth (so its essentially free. I came from Rift and are used to 5 specs (I play a mage so I have MAX ST DPS/MAX AOE DPS/Best All around DPS/Main Tank Healing/PvP) and respec is unlimited and essentially for free. Single spec + Heavy punishment for respec os TOR is extremely annoying, which caused many Rift players to return to Rift. This single spec is really an issue especially for "dual purpose" classes like Sorc and is not so much for pure dps classes that dont do anything else but dps... which is also a sign of imbalance. Only reason for a game makers to put such a heavy punishment on respec in a single spec system is that they want to lengthen the time it takes for talented players to find that "cookie cutter" spec. But this is a sign that says the DEVs themselves dont even have full confidence in their class/spec balancing at the current state of the game. Hopefully we can get a better/more player friendly/more fun oriented system when it comes to multi-purpose classes. It will be really sad if SWTOR has to go F2P too, to make sure this system stays as is because it's oh0so-great.
