  1. For BM gear, the set bonus is attached to the shell itself. For WH gear, the set bonus is attached to the Armor mod.
  2. Is it just me, or is there no War Hero Eliminator's Blaster Rifle? There is one for Battlemaster Eliminator pre-1.2, because I have it. Am I missing something? Montbrun
  3. The term "Grenade Launcher" would have been more appropriate. Apparently, there aren't any Devs that are military types.
  4. You'll be able to when 1.2 omes out.
  5. Vanguard Assault here. Eliminator all the way. HIB is your bread and butter. With the set bonus to HIB, plus the HIB skills on the skill trees, your HIB hits real hard. After 1.2, you're going to want to mix in some PvE armoring Mods in your gear. Your benefit from Expertise flattens out after 500-550 Expertise. I'm going to swap out 2-3 armoring Mods for that extra "umph."
  6. Check out this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=242994
  7. I strongly suspect that we'll be seeing more PvP gear - probably at Valor Rank 80 and 100.
  8. There's a vendor on Nar Shadaa, in the market sector, that sells moddable gear for credits. For Troopers its TD-17 gear (I think). I believe that's what you're looking for.
  9. That's from Beta when PvP gear had armoring mods. They're changing it back in 1.2.
  10. This idea is definately on the right track. The OBJECTIVES need to be the main focus in OPvP, not the kills. The kill rewards should be a byproduct of obtaining the objectives.
  11. This issue has been reported, and discussed ad nauseum since the 11/17 Beta Build, when they broke it. It worked perfectly prior to that.
  12. http://www.swtor.com/blog/community-qa-feb-10th-2012 "Daniel Erickson: The new and vastly improved ‘Hue to Chest’ system launches with Game Update 1.2 and there are more customization and quality of life improvements along those lines hot on its heels."
  13. Mortar Volley was broken after the 11/17 Beta Build. Before that, it worked perfectly. I have to call BS on the "animation delay" excuse we've been given. Also, IMHO, it should have been called "Grenade Launcher" - that's what happens when non-military types name things.
  14. From the 1.1.2 Patch Notes (emphasis mine): "Champion bags now always contain 15 Centurion Commendations and 7 Champion Commendations, and the chance to obtain a direct trade item token has been reduced. Battlemaster bags now always contain 15 Champion Commendations."
  15. IMHO concerning Ilum: 1) Make the Objectives, and therefore the "control" of Ilum, the primary focus, with corresponding rewards, buffs, etc. (maybe even faction-specific, globally) 2) Remove the "kill" mission requirements. Kills, and their rewards, should be a byproduct of the struggle for control of the Objectives. This would drastically reduce "trading kills," the camping of the faction spawn-points, and give some meaning to the control of Ilum. Also, either enable the Mercenary Commendation mechanics, or remove these commendations from the game. They serve absolutely no purpose at this point.
  16. Our Guild, The BrotherHood, on the Veela Server, is all military/ex-military/military affiliated, and we are a "Trooper-only Guild." We've made some adjustments to that requirement lately... Montbrun

  19. There was a Dev blog about this. They plan to enable a mod system where you can tranfer the PvP mods to moddable gear you like, with restrictions, such as helmet mods --> helmet mods, etc. They'll have to "create" additional mods for expertise, etc. I think this was more for armor appearance than anything else. I, for one, don't like the "look" of some of the PvP gear, and welcome the ability to put those mods on gear that I like the look of. Montbrun
  20. Sorry to hear that. I guess I am just lucky to get the right droid....
  21. Another reason to only be allowed to roll one faction/server. Faction pride. The ability to exploit the system is another. Wait until a mega-guild rolls both factions on the same server. They'll dominate everything. Very poor design decision on BW's part.
  22. If you're talking about credit for the WZ Daily/Weeklies, I put in a ticket, and the appropriate droid made sure I got credit. Just make sure you list the WZ name, and the time.
  23. "What will stop us from doing this:" One character per faction per server, especially on PvP servers. That's the only solution to a poor BW decision.
