  1. The biggest problem with this is that nobody believes BW will stop this "exploit" or the effects of it. Therefor the only way to actually be able to fight the "exploiters" in the future WZs is to join them. Why should you be the nice guy and in the end be punished by it when the "exploit" isn't rolled back.
  2. Players will always do what is best for them. You stop them by implementing a system that stops or makes it harder for them. Expecting players to not do this is stupid and will never work. It is like expecting people to turn in money they found on the street. Never going to happen. To avoid stuff like this you need the system to give diminishing returns or code it in so it won't work. Maybe change objectives etc. A player shouldn't be questioning if a playstyle is "morally" correct. They should follow the laws of the game.
  3. I agree that brokers might be wrong alot... but had Swtor done great in the sales the stock would probably have gone up. There is a big difference between a broker thinking it is doing badly and doing well.
  4. This is what I am wondering as well. All we have heard is that is has sold more than any MMO in the first weeks. What were the expeceted sales?
  5. http://www.wikinvest.com/wikinvest/api.php?action=viewNews&aid=3420443&page=Stock%3AElectronic_Arts_%28EA%29&format=html&comments=0 Seems others have doubt about TOR?
  6. The negative boundary value isn't really defined so -9.5/10 might be valid.
  7. I bet the meters were taken out because they would reveal this problem almost immediately.
  8. This I agree with. Atleast it has logic to it. And I am not saying that because I am a fanboy, I quit this game weeks ago due to its suckyness.
  9. Don't worry, BW probably has a fix already! Patch 1.11 - Gear is made worse due to ability delay
  10. Game-breaking to me means when you start to question wanting to play at all due to the bugs. Ability delay might work for some who doesn't consider it game-breaking, but that doesn't mean it isn't game-breaking for others. I wonder how stuff like this can exist when it has been beta tested soo long. Didn't they test stuff?
  11. I don't really care about pvp and unsubbed for other reasons, but I can understand those that think this is a big deal. When you have 100s of hours invested into something and they make that investment meaningless then ofc it matters.
  12. This patch made me giggle since I quit the game two weeks ago. But really it is only sad. I wouldn't wish this mess on anyone. It is strange though that something soo obvious can happen. First thing you do when you implement something new is to think "How would I try to exploit this if it were possible?". Just think like a bad guy and you wouldn't release stuff like this. Guess the devs aren't playing the game.
  13. I think most consider it America and Canada, which makes USA the America part. Not really correct but what can you do.
  14. Actually I think Hubalualub has that job already. He is also head of CS. He can't speak english and has never played the game, but he can close your tickets and smile sweetly.
  15. I guess we will have to disagree that they copied it well. With the time they had to copy it they did a very poor job on most mechanics.
  16. This doesn't make sense. Nobody would have flamed BW for patching the game too early. Sure, they might have said BW did it to keep people from quitting, but nobody would have thought it was the wrong thing to do. BW's job right now should be to fix the game asap.
  17. They might make money on TOR, but I will probably never buy an EA/BW game again. They might have gotten the quick return... but I think they lose in the long run with games like this.
  18. Calm down. You don't want a heart attack do you? But you are absolutely right imo. I feel kind of sad for BW though. They must have alot bigger problems than a few bugs if they can't do more to get this game right. Maybe it is the hero-engine that is making it hard to fix stuff. It is hard to patch something that is inherently broken.
  19. Some might come back if the game gets alot better and players start praising it. It is more likely though that the first impression will stick with you and you will instead chose a new MMO that hasn't burned you. There are alot of MMO out there to chose from. The problem with releasing a game too soon is that the first impression lasts.
  20. It took alot longer to level up and eplore in WoW. MC and Onyxia was in the game when I started raiding. I am not sure if they were in at the start but there was never a wait for end-game content. And as to broken. A thing might fuction as intended and still be broken. When there is no use for it, like most crafting, then it is broken. Just take Elara Dorne for example. Her "carbonized stream" reset every time I got on the speeder, zoned or whatever. It was practically useless and just meant she wasn't healing me or doing something useful. That is a broken mechanic. There are tons of stuff like that in this game that has gotten no care and attention.
  21. I started playing WoW when it came out in europe around 15th february, my first server was Shadow Moon if I remember correctly. Raided quite a bit in "Warrior Kittens of Elune"... ahh, the memories. The AH might work in this game but it is more like a placeholder. It is not very user-unfriendly. You can't even do a free text search or look for "head"-item. I was soo disappointed first time I saw it. Not that is really matters since there is nothing you want to buy from it that you can't easily get elsewhere. Vendor sell gear everywhere, nodes and mats are practically littering the ground. Crafting is pretty meaningless. There is nothing worth crafting that you actually have use for, except for gearing up your companions. Same there, vendors sell equal gear. Crewskills are boring as hell. Instead of actually working to max out for example salvaging or slicing or whatever, you just send out your companions to do it for you. If you want mats you send your companions. Why would anyone try and sell stuff when you get if for free basically, without any effort. Credits are in abundance. If you want to buy something you can practically buy everything you want. It is soo easy to farm credits I doubt we will see many chinese farmers in this game. People will practically give their credit away because they are meaningless. ... well, I could go on about 30 different things, but it isn't worth it. I hope you enjoy the game... I don't, but not everyone is the same. I just can't stand shoddy half done work like this game.
  22. Compared to this game, yes they are! Blizzard wouldn't release a game that practically plays like a beta. Stuff like the auction house, crafting, pvp/pve are all broken or meaningless in this game. All games will have some bugs, that is unavoidable, but lacking key systems and features is a big no-no. TOR would need atleast 6 more months in beta to be worthy of a release.
