I predict that only a portion of active players after F2P will be subbed players, in City of Heroes about 1/3 the active players are subbers.

You can pick up crafted BM pieces from the GTN and trade those in. And yes BM+aug can hold up in pvp, and then just pick up WH weapon, implant, earpiece and maybe bracer/belt.

Wait til it goes free to play, I think they're adding in pay to get level 50.

Clean the mat you're using the mouse on, blow into the hole too. This happens to my Steelseries Xai as well since I think it's when it goes over a tiny particle on my mousepad.

I've been seeing lots of Bioware members jump ship, this is kind of telling me that they're not happy with how EA is handling things.

^ LOL @ community's fault... No, it's the game not delivering, not us. And pvp isn't good enough to be taken seriously in this game. Also I know cross-server has been talked about by the devs and players, but is it still going to happen when the game is going free to play?

So with those F2P restrictions, how do they expect an increase in playerbase activity? AoC & Aion didn't get an increase after going F2P.

With Stalker gear it's so easy to hit 40% crit (with agent 5% buff), once you get enough pieces buy more pieces with mods and enhancements that contain power and trade out some crit for those until you get around 35-36%. As the above said, try and get surge to 75% as well. But crit is what makes madness work, since you get heals on crits and the dot crits are bigger.

I'll try and film some, I rarely use fraps these days and I haven't played TOR in quite a while now (been grinding in SWGemu).

Even the good ops fall short against ones that can open the melee gap, once you're knocked back and snared, rooted, or even stunned as soon as the target stands up from the HS knockdown then you have to go with plan B if you want to still go after that target. The only time I've seen dps operatives be deadly is when paired up with a dps assassin or powertech. But a powertech+marauder combination is even deadlier despite that you can see them coming.

Once it goes F2P, this game will likely be put into maintenance mode, there won't be many updates other than added content and some fixes.

Isn't it 10 or 20 warzones a day for F2P players? I do about that many a day if I can get some time in, and I still managed to get full BM gear after 3 days doing that with a fresh 50. Not bothering with WH grinding, so that should still be accomplished with F2P, and then augment up to make a matchup against WH players. Yes GW2 is F2P (well B2P) but it isn't a gear based grind that casuals can crutch onto and trash talk about how great they are. GW2 will take actual skill and thinking.

I think he's referring to gold farming bots, ones you run up to in game and say "hi... can I borrow 10K credits?"... no answer... "well screw you then" *drags an elite boss over to him*.

Nah it's the mismanagement of EA and BW spending $200-300 million on this game and not living up to the hype and to top it off- making a WoW clone that we didn't want.

Duh why I said "useless"

I'm not sure what GW2's cash shop is going to be like, but Aion and City of Heroes aren't bad, they have lots of fluff items in the cash shop and in City of Heroes I can gain benefits and have them permanently once I purchase them, unlike some F2P games where you have to keep paying to access the things you want, and from the article I read, SWTOR's F2P will work that way- pay to keep getting access (flashpoints, operations, maybe pvp, maybe dailies). Also I'm not sure if F2P is a good idea for a game they wasted $200-300 million on, $15 times whatever the amount of subs probably rake in more than what people will pay post F2P.

I've seen some marauders with the jugg vindicator set bonuses (I kind of thought the 8% heal on intercede was useless until I realized the 4pc bonus actually is of use).

I do pretty well healing in pvp with my oper, full battlemaster with a couple WH earpiece and implants, I'm personally not bothering with the WH grind other than the relics/implants/earpiece, augment the whole BM suit and you're only marginally behind augmented WH. I wear dps gear (mix of enforcer and field tech) but still have 2 piece healer for 15% boost to RN, with the gear I wear it goes up to 40% crit so swap out some enhancements and mods for power and you should be able to hit 600 bonus healing. I don't bother with the alacrity mod, but in some cases it has more use than accuracy does as an operative.
