  1. If you still need this option and are running a Nvidia card, please follow the below. Launch the Nvidia Control Panel application and click "Manage 3D settings" then click on the "Program Settings" tab. Scroll through the dropdown and try to locate "Star Wars: The Old Republic" in the list. If you cannot find it, click Add and you should see it within the "Recently Used" list of applications. If not, click Browse and point it at the "Star Wars - The Old Republic\swtor\retailclient\swtor.exe" binary. Once you've done this, the "Select a program to Customize" should now reflect the swtor game. Scroll down in the feature settings window and look for "Max Frame Rate" click under "Setting" and define a limit you want to impose for Swtor. Once done, you can close out of the Nvidia control panel and relaunch the game.
  2. This is a bit confusing as the stats for a piece of 332 Thrysian PVP gear, matches the same stats 1:1 that you can get from zeek's 332 modded adaptive gear when you compare them to one another. Short of a hidden attribute being applied to PVP gear that isn't visible to players, it wouldn't make sense that the gear would be any different. In addition, unlike the mods from 6.0, 7.0+ Zeek's mods don't roll variable stats, they're all fixed and are based on the ilvl of the mod/armoring you have unlocked. That said, there should be no fundamental difference between Thrysian PVP gear and mods/armoring you purchase via Zeek for adaptive gear at an equivalent ilvl unless you're specifically min-maxing and adding in stats that differ from the Thrysian fixed attribute gear.
  3. When you legacy block players, they can still emote spam gestures which can be observed in the chat, as well as the sound that is emitted from said gestures. Additionally, you cannot right click on a player name from an emote and legacy block them. (the last might be a feature request). There's been an increased amount of this occurring on the fleet with seemingly no way of addressing it locally short of disabling chat, and sounds entirely. The intended behavior should be that Emotes, gestures and sounds emitted from gestures, should all be muted for legacy blocked players. In the event this isn't possible, repeat spamming of gestures and chat should automatically result in the client being forcibly disconnected from the server when a threshold has been reached within a statically defined period of time. Repeat spamming should incrementally increase the duration that the player is temporarily muted and therefore prevent repeat spam - this should be account wide to dissuade people from creating temporary accounts and abusing chat. Repeat attempts should result in the account being flagged for manual review by whichever team handles spam complaints for further action. Thank you.
  4. I would agree that it's frustrating to encounter an unexpected disconnect when you're in the middle of a PVP match/operation. That said, BW/EA should be able to distinguish between a clean exit, one that was initiated by the client, and a "dirty" exit that is the result of packet loss and the client timing out over a period of time. The issue here is that, there's no way to easily distinguish between an intentional disconnect, (routing issues, ISP related disconnects, ethernet cable being pulled, network card being disabled, etc.). It all looks the same on the server side and sadly, when you're in a match if something like this occurs, the best course of action is to penalize the player regardless. If this isn't done, it leaves room for this mechanic being intentionally abused by players seeking to get out of matches they're not having a good time in. In the case of the OP, he intentionally left the match so the subsequent timeout that was issued, was warranted. If a claim could be made that the mechanic that increments the punishment interval over a period of unintended or intended quits from a match isn't working properly, then that would obviously need to be looked into and addressed. I don't have any sympathy for someone that intentionally and willingly leaves an in-progress PVP match. You're doing the rest of your team a disservice regardless of how the match is going. If you're unwilling to deal with the "you win some, you lose some" constant that is PVP, I would suggest not queuing so that you can spare your teammates the inconvenience of you bailing on them mid-match.
  5. Lagswitching is when a client uses a modified ethernet cable or software to intentionally create packet loss by temporarily severing their connection to the internet. The result of this in short bursts, can increase latency on the client to the point of it being difficult for other players to target and attack them (it'll look like they're teleporting around the map) This has ZERO effect on other players in the server. Client desynch happens often in Swtor, and this is not the result of anyone hacking. It's due to the client's rendering the massive amounts of particle effects from abilities, the loading and caching of assets, and the limitations imposed by the 32bit client. This phenomenon also occurs in operations. These issues will hopefully be addressed by way of both the update to the 64bit client that's currently on the PTS, and the move of the server infrastructure farm over to Amazon. TLDR; There's no magical hack people are using to lag you out of games. PVP matches are not P2P, so no one is "packeting" you. There's a lot of misinformation being spread about with regards to "hacking" in pvp and most of it is complete and utter BS. That said, it's possible to teleport, noclip, and speedhack in Swtor. Don't do any of this, it's against the ToS & Bioware/EA is aware of this, and has several means for catching and subsequently banning players that leverage third-party tools to accomplish this. In the meantime, try adjusting your shadows (turning them off entirely including enhanced shadows), turning down shader complexity, and grass render distance & quality. Also, if you're not doing so already, try to make sure Swtor is running off of a NVME or SSD drive that isn't shared / is a part of your OS drive (where windows is installed). Also, it's helpful to see videos of what you're reporting so, I'd advise next time, using Shadowplay or equivalent tool and post videos of what you're seeing here. Chances are, there's a logical explanation for what you're experiencing, and it makes it easier for people to give you advice on how you can address these things.
  6. This has been a long standing issue that wasn't ever addressed. When a player dies from falling damage, or via a death trigger (e.g. falling off one of the edges of the map in the fleet). Multiple death events are logged and if you listen to the death sound triggers, you can additionally hear your character dying multiple times. The amount of times logged can vary per death-type, e.g. falling death, vs., activating a "death trigger". A picture of the behavior can be found here: https://i.imgur.com/AApVOI0.png What isn't known is if 4 separate death events are being logged server side, or just client side. The expected behavior is that this event would occur a single time per death, not multiple.
  7. Thank you, @lessandracassidy & @Nee-Elder that work-around works for now until BW can address the bug.
  8. Reading your other comments on the thread you posted - Interestingly enough, my alternate spec on this character is a Jedi Guardian. Primary is an Empire Juggernaut. Could this be related to having dual-spec for each faction? I've not seen this happen elsewhere.
  9. I found a strange bug that prevents you from advancing the "to find a findsman" quest. I'm on Chapter X in the Fallen Empire storyline, and when I tried to go to the alliance camp landing area to board my ship, I'm being presented with 2 ships stacked on top of one another that is preventing me from boarding the ship and completing the mission. I've tried relogging, resetting the phases, and even starting the fallen empire storyline at a different place to see if that's having any negative effect on this. Nothing has worked so far. *Edit* I completed the XI part of the story for Fallen Empire, tried going out of the alliance camp and resetting the phase, but the 2 ships are still there and I cannot proceed beyond this point. Picture below for reference. https://i.imgur.com/PzI6Qfs.jpeg
  10. The title says it all. When you mod the same ilvl of gear using Zeek's mods and enhancements comparative to the PVP gear (Thyrsian), the adaptive gear should also roll artifact (purple). I understand that this is mostly due to zeek's mods and enhancements for ilvl 332 not being artifact quality but rather prototype, but it doesn't make much sense. Why not bump up the quality of 332 enhancements to artifact quality so that the gearing is 1:1 to the pvp gear you can get at the same ilvl.
  11. @ 332 ilvl, the Thyrsian Gear you get from Warzones, is it the same as the 332 artifact mods you can unlock and use from Zeek? Are the stats on a fully modded piece of adaptive armor identical to the stats you get from the fixed roll Thyrsian Gear pieces? Also, does Zeek still 332 mods and enhancements? or do you still need the blue enhancements for 332?
  12. This seems to be a UI bug because, if you close the scoreboard and reopen it, the stats will be properly populated. I've had this occur a few times on me now and in each instance, closing and reopening the window fixed the display bug. This appears to only be a visual bug.
  13. Yes, I haven't been around since pre-7.1 just came back and noticed that from the last time I had played, all of the stats had been reset. Judging from your response, it seems like this was intentional and not just something impacting me specifically. Thanks for the clarification on this.
  14. Yes, I'm referencing what's under the Activities -> PVP -> Warzones -> Character Stats panel. I read the threads you cited, but I cannot see anything that states that they'd specifically be resetting these stats back to zero. Am I missing something?
  15. Hi, Not sure if this is related to the existing bug that's been reported, but I noticed that my entire historical pvp warzone character stats have been reset back to 0. Image Link Is this happening for anyone else?
