  1. You'll want to increase the affection the the companion that has the best crafting bonuses to your crafting skill. For example, Khem has +15 artifice efficiency, so if you have artifice then you should raise his affection.
  2. To be honest, most of the crafting skills are worthless and aren't worth the time put into them. The only one I would consider using at this point is Biochem, but it'll probably be nerfed into the ground soon.
  3. Nope, no specific neutral items really exist. If you play a neutral character though you'll only miss out on a few alignment-specific items, nothing major or game breaking.
  4. Gifting increases the affection of your companions, which increase their chance to crit craft an item, which either crafts it with an augment slot or increases the amount of items received.
  5. I'm not sure what sort of point you're trying to get across. I doesn't matter if you're speaking to Darth Malgus or some kid playing Imperial, it's the same idea. If cross-faction chat was limited to people on your friends lists I don't see what the problem is.
  6. I guess all those times where you spoke to people like Darth Malgus and Satele Shan while being in the opposing faction were in a dream then.
  7. Yet another stupid design decision. If you're a fresh 50 artificer, you have a grand choice of FOUR different colors. Utterly insane. Colors like purple and orange should not only be available earlier, but they should be CRAFTABLE. That leads me on to another issue with item modding: why are there still valor requirements on orange pvp shells? The mod system is constantly being touted to allow you to change your characters look, but there's still the insane cost of moving mods and valor requirements on shells. Do Bioware actually play their own game?
  8. Are you serious? Bioware have to appease us, because if they don't NOBODY WOULD BUY THE GAME/SUB FEE. Why do you think the game has tiny sub numbers and constant complaints on the forum? You clearly know nothing about business, and you're likely the same sort of person that believes in crap like "gamer entitlement".
  9. First, I'd like to note your silly use of immature strawman arguments. Really, really childish. As far as content goes, Bioware had 6 years before even releasing the game to have some decent content available at launch. This is STAR WARS. If Bioware can't pump out even small content like a world event regularly then there really is no hope for the game.
  10. THIS Bioware seem to think that the endgame comprises of running tedious dailies and the SAME flashpoints we already did while leveling for weeks in order to get geared for the 3 Ops we have. Don't want to do that? Just do the same Warzones constantly instead. If you want to play more than that (totally absurd, right?) , then the Bioware supporters have 3 choices for you: 1. You are a troll, go away 2. Stop running through content so quickly, jeez! 3. Go outside Makeb will be cleared by many in a day, maybe 2. The HK quest will last perhaps slightly longer, and won't be revisited. HK will end up sitting on the ship with the rest of the boring/useless companions.
  11. I'd call it "firing people because the game flopped" Let's not mince words here.
  12. If you consider laying off a huge amount of staff as "restructuring" then you're pretty deluded.
  13. 7 months in and we just got a group finder (that's still bugged), how incredible. Bioware have really outdone themselves with that patch.
  14. If you're in warzones, then you're at least level 10, which means you should've picked up your advanced class (i.e gunslinger) already.
  15. Probably because it's one of the most humanoid npc races. Plus, they'll be wanting to corner some of the furry rp crowd. Why they couldn't have picked something like Nautolan is beyond me.
  16. Gee, what a useful, worthwhile addition to the forums. I was concerned about the entire state of the game, but Bioware have completely sated my worries by telling me what the best threads of the week were! That totally solved all the huge, gaping problems with the game!
  17. Campaign gear is one of the highest tier endgame gear in the game. The tokens used to purchase campaign gear are gotten through hard mode Explosive Conflict and defeating the Voss world boss.
  18. You still don't seem to be understanding my metaphor at all. I wasn't talking about bugs, I was talking about MISSING FEATURES. If you see a car being sold WITHOUT seat heaters or a cd player for the same price as cars that do have these features, then wouldn't you realise what a lackluster car it is? Especially when that car had 2 or 3 times the amount of money and time spent to design and develop it. It's the exact same with swtor: a game released without basic functionality, and even touted features (legacy) not being ready in time for launch. The whole game feels like it's been lazily designed. The amount of time it took WoW to implement a feature has no bearing on how long it should take other games to add it or not. MMOs are to be designed AS OF TODAY., with the current trends of features and technology. I'm not seeing a lot of whining in this thread. What I am seeing is valid points being brought up.
  19. I'm not comparing an MMO to a car, it's a metaphor to point out how ridiculous it was to release this game in the state it was. Here we go again! WoW was released SEVEN YEARS AGO. Of course it didn't have things like LFG or a UI customiser. But it does now, and so does Rift, Tera, Guild Wars and others. And of course, swtor is just catching up now. It certainly does. When you pump so much time and money into something like EA did to swtor, you expect to have something pretty incredible come out the other end. Instead, what we got was a half-baked WoW emulation which is struggling to hold onto subs after 6 months. That's something you CAN'T argue against.
  20. I'd like to inform you that not everyone who criticisms the game is a troll. Everything I've said in this thread is what I think, and a large number of other posters who share my thoughts are the same.
  21. I agree with this, empty orange gear should be able to be used by any class.
  22. You seem to be forgetting that swtor was in development for 6 years and had anywhere from $100-300 million spent on it, yet lacks the most basic of industry-standard features. As for your cliched "it's new be patient guys!" spiel, imagine that you bought a new car only to be told by other customers that "you should be patient for the stereo system, it's just a new car they need to work out the braking system first!". That's what you call idiotic, and you'd be left wondering why the car wasn't released finished. Same thing with swtor. Of course, your answer to all the valid criticism on the forums is "well don't play it go away". How is the game supposed to improve if nobody complains about its bad points?
  23. Pink mods? I think you mean purple mods. As he said, OP, just run black hole/ilum/belsavis dailies to get daily tokens to spend on hilts/barrels, armoring, and eventually 2 implants and an earpiece. Once you have a decent amount of gear at 126 rating you can start to do hard mode flashpoints.
  24. I'll assume you're trolling, but one server doesn't equate to the vast majority of player experiences.
