  1. Wish there was a display on the server list that showed faction separated populations. Would make life a lot easier.. D:
  2. I'm kind of glad I didn't have this problem since I played FFXIV. It took me forever to come up with a last name there that I actually liked, but once I did it fit really well. Too bad that game was one of the worst flops to ever hit the markets.
  3. Ahh, yea I suppose I should include that. US by choice, but if there is a healthy EU pop server I could probably roll there as long as my ping isn't completely terrible.
  4. Does anyone know of a server population tool of any sort that would allow me to browse estimated population breakdowns for each faction?
  5. I'm about to make a Republic alt to see some of the story for those chars. I was wondering which servers have a somewhat healthy Republic playerbase. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I'm pretty sure they have more lawyers than you know, who are all better than you. Also, they reserve the right to ban you for whatever they deem necessary. If you actually read those ten tons of law books, or the TOS, you'd probably know that.
  7. I always love reading this persons complaints on the forums. It always seems to be something about his / her computer screwing up because of the game, when it's pretty clear it's a user error. The signature he/she has is just so amazing.
  8. Eh, I work from home and have a lot of time to myself. I did every quest in every zone I went to and did not spacebar through ANY dialogue options, I even hit escape on quite a number of them to see different choices. I hit 50 four days ago and I don't feel like I rushed the game at all. I felt I took my time. Sure I'm 50 within 2 weeks of the game coming out, but that's simply because I have much more time to play this time of year and I don't care to do much else because I'm a grinch.
  9. Man.. you know those republic trooper strong mobs in the same area? I just had two of them ping ponging me back and forth with their grappling hook + knockback abilities. One would grapple me away from the other, then knock me back. Then the 2nd mob would proceed to grapple me and knock me back. This proceeded until I as dead. I must admit, it was kind of hilarious seeing them do it.. but by the third such encounter I was somewhat annoyed. Being a melee against groups of mobs that knockback + stun in one attack is rather rage inducing.
  10. On a different note, all this talk of candy bars is making my fat self hungry. AFK buying a snickers AND a milky way.
  11. Then you aren't buying the 'snickers' bar as advertized, you're buying a different product. My point was this game was advertized as a heavily story driven MMO, and complaining about there being too many story scenes in a game clearly advertized as a story driven game is ridiculous. If you don't want a heavily story driven MMO (snickers bar) you can purchase another game in the MMO genre (type of candy bar). Options that exist would include WoW and Rift off the top of my head (mars bar and milky way). I'm not actually saying 'go back to WoW', I'm just illustrating how the context of my post is relevant. The sold this game as a story driven MMO, and asking them to change what it was clearly marketed as is nonsensical.
  12. Not something I would have ever thought of myself but.. yea that would make sense for the original Legacy name holder to be able to allow other people to use it just like they were 'family' in game. I'm not an RPer personally, but I could see this as being something some of them would really like.
  13. I wasn't commenting on anything regarding the end game aspect. I was commenting on the OP's complaint about the story cutscenes during the leveling process, so your comment is completely irrelevant here. I agree with you that the story is only really part of the leveling process and that the end game needs to be solid, but that isn't in any way what my post was referring to.
  14. Well, you do have the option to spacebar past the dialogue and just select your answers until you get the quest log note. Considering dialogue options actually have an effect to some extent on your character progression or companion progression I think that's a reasonable fix to not wanting to watch story scenes.
  15. Just addressing one of your points here as I feel some are justified and some aren't. You complain about the 'story' of the game. This game was 'advertized' as a story driven MMO. You purchased an MMO that was intended to be heavily story driven and your complaining about their being too many story scenes? I'm not going to mindlessly defend the game, because there are some issues that are quite annoying. None of them, to me, are gamebreaking 'yet' but they are issues. I just find you complaining about something that was a huge selling point for this game to be utterly ridiculous. "I'm going to buy this snickers bar." "***!? Why does this snickers bar have so many peanuts, you should give me the option to buy a snickers bar without peanuts this is unacceptable!"
  16. You can have 2 relics equipped, however, if you are referring to the matrix shard relic then you may only have one of those at a time.
  17. Does anyone know if there is a way to use the same customization settings across different characters? Such as chat settings (custom colors / text windows), UI settings, etc. I wasn't able to find an option for it, so I started digging around in the folders to see if I could just copy my mains settings folder over, but was unable to locate any place that looked like it was specific to my characters.
  18. Not sure what void you're talking about really. I went through the entire game being at least 2 levels above every planet after Balmorra. I just went through each planet, doing all of the quests that were available, doing 'some' of the bonus series and hit 50 in the first quest hub on Corelia. I still have most of Corelia left, plus the bonus series on Hoth, Alderaan, Taris, Belsavis, and Corelia once I finish the normal story there. There is no void if you don't skip content. Edit: I should note that I still have not done any PvP, I have not completed a single space mission before it turned grey (meaning they give me 5 exp), I only ran maybe 3 or 4 Flashpoints the entire time I was leveling, and I just did w/e Heroics I could find a group fore 'while' I was doing other quests. I didn't go out of my way to sit around trying to get a group together.
  19. At least someone isn't completely oblivious...
  20. I'm actually NOT complaining that there isn't anything to do. I'm serious when I say there is so much to choose from right now. I really don't know where I want to start.
  21. I forgot about collecting non-combat pets as well, though that isn't usually a big deal for me. I think the hardest thing to choose from right now is advancing my main, or rolling an Alt to experience a new storyline.
  22. I hit level 50 yesterday. I work from home, and have a lot of time to myself. I did almost every bonus area, and I have watched every conversation (sometimes multiple times to explore the different conversation options available!). Right now I'm trying to decide what I should do, as there are so many different choices I'm not sure where to start. I could start working on getting all of my companions affection up to max, so they can craft better, and so I can see all of the different conversation options with my companions. I could try and unlock all of the max level patterns available for my crew skills (I'm Artifice so there are quite a few!) I could PvP to get a high PvP rank and good PvP gear, but I'm not too big on PvP so I'll probably save this for later. I could start running all of the normal level 50 Flashpoints, and then all of the Hard mode Flashpoints to start gearing up for Operations so I'm ready to do them once all of my guild has gotten there. I could finish all of the quests and bonus series I have yet to complete, as I did skip a few of them due to being over leveled for them at the time, but I still want to see each of the stories. I could try to complete all of the flight missions and gear up my ship. I'm pretty behind in that and haven't done much of it, but it seems like a fun distraction! I could start grinding dailies and social points to start collecting all of the different social gear that is available, not to mention the 1.5m mounts that are available from having high social points. I could also start a new character class and experience that storyline while I wait for the rest of my guild to catch up, as there are only 4 or 5 of us at 50 right now, but I just can't decide which class to make next. I'm torn between Sith Assassin and Bounty Hunter Mercenary. So, what should I do? There is so much to choose from and I just don't know where to start. TL;DR I'm level 50 and there is so much to do I can't decide where to start. Ideas would be most welcome!
  23. I was going to quit, until I took a blaster bolt to the knee...
  24. I'm pretty sure the only way to avoid it entirely is to avoid doing your classes story quests. But.. if you want to progress through the story it is not possible to bypass this feature as it's built in.
