  1. 10/10 would read again. Edit: Can I call you Shadysketchy now?
  2. Pretty much this. Try not to take anything he posts seriously. I'm pretty sure he spends more time on the forums complaining about the game than he does actually playing it. Not sure why he still plays it at this point.
  3. That, at the very least, is a valid complaint. The rest of it is a mixture of you needing to learn how to be more effective in PvP, and the CC needing to be toned down slightly.
  4. This post was especially funny. Telling someone to l2english when spelling sense as 'sence'. Do people not even realize that there is a built in spell check on the forums? If English isn't your native language I can forgive this a bit, but if it isn't.. you may just want to take your own advice.
  5. If that's the case, then why are you even playing a game that's set in the EU at all? By your own logic you shouldn't even be playing this game because George Lucas thinks the EU is nonsense. You're welcome to leave at any time.
  6. This is actually my first Star Wars / Bioware game overall personally. I purchased it simply because it looked like a promising MMO title (and it hasn't failed on that yet for me, I'm loving it so far). Now that I've played this, I plan on going out and buying KOTOR 1 and 2 just to see the back stories.
  7. Obviously the entire Star Wars universe is encompassed by 6 movies that were made. There weren't numerous books or games or anything else made incorporating anything else right?
  8. What's happening is this, you only have a limited number of dialogues with each of your companions per chapter. If your affection goes high enough, you start seeing the notifications for your next conversations, but you can't access them until you make it to a further chapter. I had Vette at about 9500 affection before I even ended chapter 1. As soon as I finished chapter 1 I got about 7 dialogue options for her. The same thing happened again when I finished chapter 2. Just proceed through your story quests, and then the dialogue options will show up again. Hope this helped!
  9. The icon itself that pops up is somewhat bugged.. it means there is a conversation available for that companions affection level, but that conversation may not be available until a later time in the story. Same thing happened to me and as soon as I finished the chapter I was in I had like 7 conversations available.
  10. Contact Gentle Giant about this. A guildie of mine had a defective statue base and they said they'd ship him out a new statue base on rush delivery. The customer service over there at Gentle Giant is extremely quick and helpful.
  11. As far as WoW not requiring you to enter a CC to play, that is somewhat correct. You must enter in your method of payment for your monthly subscription at the time that you create your account. At the time, this could be a CC or a Game Time Card if I remember correctly. It spells this out quite clearly in the actual game manual on page 12 between paragraphs 3 and 4. I could go through Rift, FFXI, FFXIV, SW:TOR, AION, and WAR for you too if you''d like but every single one of these games requires you to input your ''payment'' method up front before you are able to play.
  12. Not really rushing to 50, finishing up every quest in every zone and watching all of the cut-scenes. But I play MMO's for the endgame primarily, so it's nice to know what's waiting for me. I'm not sure if the non subbing people comment was directed at me or not.. if it was, I am a subbing player.. so.. wut..? If it wasn't directed at me, carry on.
  13. The only relevant point in this thread is the foreign character issue. I'd agree they need to implement support for that at the very least. But.. as far as forgetting your own security questions.. write them down somewhere, or you know, pick questions that you aren't likely to forget the answers to.
  14. I'm not level 50 yet. I'm just curious if there is anything to get us out into the world instead of just sitting on the fleet station being able to do everything.
  15. Simple reading comprehension of what was included would have told you all of that.
  16. Yea.. the razer Naga is pretty nice if you can use it. 12 buttons on the thumb side if you have the use of your right hand. All of them are programmable for you to assign skills to them.
  17. I was just wondering, other than looking for world pvp for world pvp's sake, is there any reason at all to leave the fleet station at 50? You can craft / gather / run flashpoints / pvp all while sitting on the station and not doing anything. Is there something actually getting us out into the world?
  18. I'm not arguing that at all. I have no problem if others want to see the numbers I put up. But I know there are plenty of people out there that don't want others to know what they're doing. Now, personally, I wouldn't ever raid with any of those people, but I don't have a problem grouping with them as long as they aren't causing the group to fail miserably.
  19. I'd be happy with something that does nothing other than track things done to me or by me. That way no one gets upset about 'DPS meter elitists'. I don't want a DPS meter that I can lord over other people for failing. I just want something I can utilize myself to improve my performance should I feel it's lacking.
  20. No, I don't require damage meters to improve my performance, they just make it a bit easier. I utilize tools that are available to me to better myself. If they aren't ever available, I'll make due with frapsing myself over a period of time and seeing if I can figure out a way to improve that way. If you aren't willing to critique your own performance and improve any flaws you may find, you won't be successful, in a video game or in real life.
  21. And if you keep dying repeatedly because you are not killing the boss fast enough? How will anyone know if they're doing as much as they could. I know personally, I'd like to at least know how I can contribute the most to a fight, even if others don't.
  22. I used to play WoW like you, until I took a Pandaran to the knee..
  23. It's actually false or misleading advertising. If it said 'Some fans who have pre-ordered SW:TOR can now begin playing the game!' it would be correct. Making a broad generic statement like that leads the casual observer to believe that anyone who has pre-ordered is now able to play the game, which is not correct.
  24. If you're disconnecting often it may be an issue with your ISP or some of your network settings. I don't know much about any of that, but someone may be able to help you trouble shoot all of that.
