  1. Did you play the consular? The first known conflict was the Force Wars and it was started by Rajivari. And yes, the Father, Son and daughter were not the Force. They were avatars. But that does not mean they were without power and influence. And yes it was symbolic - and the symbolism was that of BALANCE. Anakin was supposed to make the two siblings coexist peacefully. He was not supposed to kill the Son. If he had been I would agree with you that balance is the destruction of the Dark Side. But he was not and it wasn't. So we can assume George has changed his views somewhat. As for Fate of the Jedi - Luke says that it is now the job of Jedi and Sith to find balance; that in the absence of the Avatars Jedi and Sith must personify the Dark and Light. Quote: During the return of Abeloth in 44 ABY, Grand Master Luke Skywalker—the son of Chosen One Anakin—read the mission report in the Jedi Archives about his father and his mentor's experiences on Mortis. Combined with the information gathered from the Thuruht hive, Luke realized that his father's refusal to become the new Keeper of Balance had in fact set off a disastrous chain of events. With the death of the Ones, the galaxy began to slide into darkness; the number of conflicts and chaos in the last 65 years were evidence enough of that. After Abeloth's defeat at the hands of Luke and Darth Krayt, Luke believed that the Jedi and the Sith must become the new Ones: they must keep the Balance themselves. Also: "It is only here that I can control them. A family in balance. The light and the dark. Day with night. Destruction, replaced by creation." "Then why reveal yourselves to us?" "There are some who would like to exploit our power. The Sith are but one. Too much light or dark would be the undoing of life as you understand it. Even symbolically this is pretty specific. So clearly SOMETHING has changed somewhere...
  2. We don't know because no one has tried channeling the Dark side through a calm passion while at peace. And I I rather think the Father, Son and Daughter were literal. They were the physical embodiment of the Force. Ancient Tython had it that perfection was a state of balance. Oddly enough there was NO DS/LS conflict until the formation of the Jedi Order which dedicated themselves solely to the Light. As soon as they did everything blew up in their faces. If you have a better explanation please let me know... nicely.
  3. First of all, George is behind the Clone Wars TV series right? So apparently Neutral, Father, or the Unifying Force was first, the came Son, Dark Side and Daughter, Light Side. Those two always fight... And at one point it is STATED that Anakin's destiny is to become the Father and enforce a peace between the two siblings. So it seems George has changed his mind. But age does make people more tolerant. Now, AGAIN!!! Ancient Tython. Oh, and I still hold by what I said about cold passion. There is no need for heat to channel Darkness. Even a cool passion for something non-physical can be a driving force and that drive will allow you to touch the darkside. As a calm passion however it would not have the same immediate effect as the wild passions. If you chanel it when calm (remember what Yoda said about calm?) when you're at peace you should be able to achieve an internal balance and be safe from the corruption of either side. The important part is the perfect balance... Thus, ancient Tython.
  4. Just noticed your signature... Have you ever played Tatooine Imperial? Because I got a mission to find a Force sensitive Jawa...
  5. The Ancient Sith Lords. They don't follow the Emperor. The continuation of the SI class should have you hunting down and destroying/binding/redeeming those spirits. I would LOVE to have to fight Ragnos, the Jen'jidaii, an LS Ajunta (and try to turn him DS again...) That would be awesome...
  6. You should try and talk BioWare into giving us melodie to play then. Three cheers for Star Wars Sithspawn merfolk! Yes, there is a species of Mermaids in Star Wars... (Well, the Melodie are only BELIEVED to have been created by Alchemy.... But it is cool to say they are.) To Captain-Zone: I think I've met your Smuggler... Which server are you on? Anyway: Sith pureblood SI and JK. Miraluka Consular and will have one as a Warrior. Zabrak trooper and BH. Chiss IA and will make my smuggler one... NO HUMANS!!!!!!!! We have enough of those on Earth... On the Imperial Side Chiss are fairly popular. Since the Legacy update I've noticed several Pureblood Jedi. I think we just can't help our selves... I would make a Chiss Warrior, but I also want a Miraluka one. Since my warrior is DS I chose Miraluka. DS Inquisitor would be a Chiss if I didn't already have a Pureblood LS Inquisitor on level 50...
  7. Also a ton of the Treasure hunting missions mention it. Example: Clan Ordo wants you to get something as one of the highest level missions. There are others, but I can't remember it. About the Foundry:
  8. I want a next generation... and I don't think it would work for the BH. This story would start on Mandalore (the planet.) You were raised a Mandalorian, but your mother was the agent or vice-versa. Depending on what you decide in the first conversation your backstory will vary. The war has gone on for about twenty years and is a war of attrition. You don't just get jobs the way the BH does. It would be a very different story. The reason I'm calling the class Mandalorian is because that's how you start off. You can end up officially working for the Empire and disavowing your heritage. I think it's the name that's putting you off. Would you prefer if I called it the Battlelord class instead? That's one of the advanced classes. The other is Guerrilla. Instead of being a BH you're a general, but you don't officially work for the Empire. A lot of what you would do is arranging attacks rather than just carrying them out. For Example: You might be told "go conquer this world" but how you manage it is up to you. (Think of the Exile on Onderon. How might the battle have been if she could have ordered an strafing the city (DS), orbital bombardment (LS or DS depending), a diversionary attack while she snuck in from behind (which she did if I'm remembering right) a frontal assault after calling for the surrender (LS), starting a secret rebellion from the populace (LS), choosing to simply fly through a window and start blasting, doing an actual assassination, or creating a terrorist organisation (DS). Aside from having eight different options most of which would be branch outs from conversation choices: Our troops are ready to work with you. Branches: A: I hope your men know how to shoot (Leads to diversion, strafing run, or frontal assault) B: I work alone. They'll just be in my way. (leads to window smash or assassination) C: Keep your men. I'll have all the people I need for this. (Bombardment, terrorist, or Rebel cell.) Give you a better idea? I don't think this would work for a BH. And this little conversation has gotten totally off topic... But I would LOVE to see a quest like that. Oh yes, and you can betray the Empire and turn the planet over to the Republic. You can make a bad decision and get people killed, and you can conquer the planet in the name of Mandalore...
  9. Awww.... I wanted to see the video on the Exiles... At least we got a good look at Ajunta before they stopped. (Because they always showed a bit of the next timeline in the previous one. As the next one should have been the Jen'Jidai the man in the center is almost certainly Pall.)
  10. The balance didn't really shift. Tython was always perfectly balanced. It was the only way to make the planet inhabitable. If you turned Dark you got sent to Bogan to meditate on Ashla. 9 times out of 10 this worked. If you became too Light you got sent to Ashla to meditate on Bogan. This also worked. Tython became unbalanced after it was discovered by the Rakatan Infinite Empire. After this a splinter group Je'daii decided that only Ashla was true and began the Jedi Order. Shortly thereafter one of the Order's founders, Rajivari, changed his mind and decided Bogan was stronger. This was the start of the Force Wars. Soooo.... No REAL problems until the decision to only study ONE side of the Force. Oh, and Caedus fell for many reasons. By the time he fell he no longer believed that there was no Light and Dark. Further, the Unifying Force does exist (remember the Father?) However Luke realized that not everyone could handle this, and that the Jedi were continuing to use the Living Force, both the Dark and Light aspects. The Jedi were not balanced though, and the polarization was the problem.
  11. Please note: The Roman Aristocracy was a REPUBLIC. The Sith are a Theocratic society with Medieval laws and ideals with a splash of anarchy and less hypocrisy. (Because they actually admit that they seek battle and power, unlike some of the real knights.) Ironically the Jedi are supposed to be Medieval knights, but that would mean that they really aren't as nice as Jedi are supposed to act. Oh, wait... Note: Celibacy only means no marriage. So why am I breaking the Order's laws with one knight stands. Answer: The Council never opened a dictionary...
  12. That's the point. This is his kid. And the war is back on. The Mandalorian would actually be helping to fight the war! Not running after bounties, thus addressing the complaints that the BH isn't involved enough in the war. You'd be serving Mandalore, working with the Empire (or against it depending on your choices.) You'd have to gather clans to fight battles, try to ensure that the clans don't become a part of the Empire, defeat major players in the Republic, etc. Think more of a cross between Agent and BH with some trooper aspects thrown in rather than just BH. I haven't fully worked out the storyline yet so these are just basic ideas of how it would work. A lot of my ideas include dealing with major complaints. Example: Revan is too easy to beat in the Foundry. So I created a second fight with him as an Alchemist. You can fight him twice. The first time is mandatory and a hard boss fight. If you go DS and try to kill him you have to fight him a second time and he's much harder. If you choose to leave him to torment he becomes close to impossible (as in making him one of the hardest bosses out there.) Actually that whole chapter would have super hard bosses if you go DS...
  13. Ancient Tython. How many times do I have to mention the Je'daii before someone gets it????
  14. Only if you play IA does it change your ending. Grumble...
  15. I'd prefer to play some of the lesser known species, just because this way more people would learn about SW lore. I mean, how many people even know what Melodie are? I'd also like to play a Falleen, a Bothan, a Zeltron, a Zelosian, and a S'kytri. Admittedly the last would be difficult as you'd have to animate wings... Melodie shouldn't be too hard though...
  16. That was the Sith of the New Sith Wars begun after the fourth schism which was caused by Darth Ruin c. 2000 BBY approx. At that point the Sith Empire no longer existed in known space.
  17. That's the reason it has to be a 'cool' passion. All the Sith we see use 'hot' passions. Anger, fear, etc. I've yet to see anyone trying to use the Dark Side when perfectly calm through something like a passion for science. The only real issue with corruption is that you have to be very aware. If something happens to crack your shell, if even for a moment you lose your sense of equilibrium you lose yourself.* On ancient Tython if this happened you got sent to Bogan to meditate on Ashla. Oddly enough, despite using both sides of the Living Force, the ancient Tythonians did not have a real problem with Dark Siders until the creation of the Jedi order - which focused solely on the light. (*Yes, I believe that is what happened to Revan. I also believe the man's mind is a mess, his personality is fracturing and the Jedi are idiots for not realizing... Mutters something about DID.)
  18. I just want a FemaleJK romance for Scourge. We know they can breed (thank you Jen'Jidai!!) so I don't see why I can't romance him...
  19. Yes. But to do so would require a certain amount of creativity. One: Remain calm. You CANNOT be upset AT ALL. You must be Jedi Master calm. Two: Find a cold passion. Passion for science, passion for learning, passion for knowledge. Do NOT use a hot passion. It is far too likely to upset your balance. Three: Imagine that calm like a bubble surrounding you. It is as thin as an egg shell but incredibly strong. The corruption cannot reach you when you are calm and at peace. Four: Reach out to the Dark Side through the passion found in 2. Five: Draw the Dark Side through your shield of calm like flour through a sieve, leaving the corruption outside and only the power itself coming through. Six: The moment you sense your concentration slipping, your balance shifting, release the Force. Seven: Repeat when balanced once more. I figure this is how the Je'daii Order used the Force, but having never read that comic I can't be certain. In theory this should work though.
  20. Personally I had a crazy idea for her as part of an expansion pack idea. Basically the pack would have for new characters, the children of the original ones. All four stories would be tightly intertwined. The four classes would be Mandalorian and Alchemist for the Empire and Elemental and Diplomat for the Republic. So, in this version the Mando would capture Satele and hand her over to the Sith. (LS is let her go, DS kill her, cannon turn her over.) The Alchemist would be part of the team sent to torture and convert her. The Alchemist lets Satele go but it's already too late. (Or tortures her to death (DS) or gives her a painless poison (neutral.) Convinces her to turn against the Republic (DS) Redeems her (LS)) The Elemental finds her, captures and redeems her (or kills her (DS) lets her go (neutral) convinces her to continue taking revenge, but only against the Sith (DS) she commits suicide out of guilt (neutral) fails to redeem her and is forced to kill her anyway (LS)) and takes her back to Tython. Satele steps down from her Council seat and offers it to the Elemental. She goes off to atone and ends up as a member of the Diplomat's party. Which would be totally epic! Sigh... I hope they DO create an expansion pack like this. (In this idea the Alchemist becomes an LS to neutral Emperor/Empress and ultimately ends up pretending to lose the war while secretly taking her people back into the unknown regions. The Elemental becomes Grand Master and helps the Sith hide. The Mandalorian becomes Mandalore and the Diplomat becomes the Supreme Chancellor, who refuses to make peace with the Empire leading to a war of attrition and the Empress' decision to get her people out. So there. Perfect explanation, neither side is destroyed and it's fairly epic.)
  21. For the first part: Remember the padawan massacre? KotOR comics, for those who don't know what I'm talking about. Also wiping Revan's memory, ignoring the Mandolorian Wars, committing genocide against the Sith species. ALSO cutting an already redeemed Qel-Droma off from the Force. All done by Jedi... Or to put it another way I totally agree with you and there's the proof. There is slavery in the Republic, and unlike in the Empire if you do manage to prove your strength you will likely be arrested. (Darth Bane's origin comes to mind.) In the Empire if a slave proves stronger than his/her master they are often given said master's position. The real difference is that the Empire officially condones the practice while the Republic claims to have abolished it. I think I prefer honesty to hypocrisy, don't you? Personally I see the Force with a Freudian perspective. The DS is the Id, LS is the Superego, and the Unifying Force is the ego. From a psychology stand point all Id is bad, all superego is bad, and being at balance in the ego is best. How do you achieve balance? By uniting the disparate elements of yourself. This probably helps explain why the change in the Jedi Code led to so many more falls.
  22. Yeah, I noticed it too. Bigger issue - on the SI quest line after 1.2 no one recognizes you as a pureblood either. Bet you they tried to tell the Republic side to read you as human and now the game thinks you're human no matter what. It also explains why the pureblood still reads as human. The game THINKS you're human... which removes the entire point of playing that species. Here's an idea: Instead of creating a new species fix the old one BioWare!!!!
  23. I'm fairly certain becoming Jadus' hand is the cannon ending. This is based on the aura-besh on his holonet page. One line says "Who is the hand of Jadus?" Answer: You probably are... So the IA ending is the only one where we have 'proof' of possible cannon... and so almost no one picks that ending! LOL!
  24. I actually like Kaliyo. Her snarky personality fits in well with my agent's equally sassy tone. They have fun joking about guys and teasing each other. I could see why many people would find her difficult though. I certainly wouldn't want to live with her in real life. In he game however she makes me laugh and my agent thinks she's a lot of fun.
  25. I don't get why people seem to think the Cathar men are often bald. Have you guys SEEN Crado's hair? It's a mane. A species I'd love to see would be the Melodie, the only sentient species possibly created by Sith alchemy. I'd also like to play a Theelin...
