  1. its actually inconceivable to me that people are comparing WoW to SWTOR, they are not the same game and furthermore WoW has been out for 8 years vs SWTOR which hasn't even made it to 4 weeks yet. WoW had numerous issues at launch... use some common sense ffs.
  2. Welcome to MMO launches... this isn't anything unprecedented. 8 years(+/-) after WoW was realeased there are still constant changes / patches / balances being implemented. And with new content comes new bugs and more patches, this is what makes MMO's appealing to me, beacuse they are dynamic and the fact they undergo progressive changes. You've played more than most, how about sitting back to enjoy the game instead of rushing to look for that win button.
  3. I'm gonna respond to your asinine post on the closed thread. Your signature says you stopped your subscription, therefore you have no reason to be on these forums, I don't play from work and I'm not a hypocrite like yourself. I didn't say your computer is a "pos", I simply stated that there are many variables factored into performance. I don't see you asking for help, I see you forum bashing others. 100+FPS all day.
  4. So you're clearly a WoW fanboy and a hypocrite. This game is great, i enjoy it, obviously so does the OP. There's a problem with that? In order to enjoy the game there has to be unprecedented features incorporated for it to be successful? MMO is a genre, every MMO will have simularities. This game takes what makes Bioware's RPG's successful and amalgams features that make top tier MMO's successful and then some. The WoW comparison needs to stop. Comparing an MMO thats been out for 8 years thats been through various facets of development to a game thats been out for 3 weeks doesn't really make sense.
  5. No, they are coming here to mock you. I haven't had any problems running the game, none of what you stated has happened to myself or anyone I've played with. I think in this case the problem is somewhere between the keyboard and the back of your chair.
  6. Your post is irrelvant non-sensical banter.
  7. LOL and what points have you solidified? Nothing in your post is close to accurate.
  8. That's purely speculation, and a fallacy. You do not need macro's to be competitive in a game.
  9. PvP feels pretty even to me, I'm only level 21 and I've had quite a bit of success, usually top 3 for damage output. Level 50's aren't unkillable and if you know how to play you class, regardless of level, its not all that difficult. Add's to the challenge and I don't want any game I play to be easy.
  10. Maybe long after I had left, but during the time I played the most common questions to the top PvP / PvE players was "what macro(singular) do you use?" Rift is an extreme example but my point still stands, macro's like these are, in my eyes, an exploit. I pretty much setup my keyboard w/ my main skills 1-6, alt & shift 1-6 for alternate skills. Q, E, F & X for cooldown's usually. I've played a healer and understand the importance and utility the mouse-over can provide. WoW had this coupled w/ Grid which made healing near trivial.
  11. I think macro's take away from a game, the lack of macro's puts people on an even playing field so to speak. I've never used macro's until Rift and suddenly I literally had 2 buttons in PvP (if you played a champion in RIFT you'd know what I was referring to) completely factoring out skill. Who ever mashed their macro button faster yielded the winner. I've acclimated to having to bind every skill to a key, which is much preferrable in my opinion, and yes thats all it is, an opinion. Of course mouse-over-heals I completely agree with, its frantic enough as a healer in PvE or PvP, those types of macros I can get behind, but not the type of macro's that you can map all your abilities to and press 1 key to execute. PvP is better without them. P.S. don't modern gaming keyboards support the functionality to create your own macros?
  12. 45mins queue haha, WoW had longer queues then that years after it was released during primetime. RIFT had 12+hr long queues on launch, be thankful. Give it a week or so and the queue times will decrease.
