  1. I never played DOTA but it sounds fun.
  2. The biggest problem in the game right now is phantom global cooldowns. Often times, especially in hectic pvp, the global cooldown will trigger and no ability will be used. I believe that this is related to using abilities which are off the global cooldown immediately prior.

  4. Hard to say which class is best 1on1, but as everyone has stated, sentinel/marauder is quite strong 1on1 in multiple matchups. There are a few classes which will definitely beat a sentinel/marauder nearly every time if they are played well, one being a kinetic shadow / darkness assassin. Tank shadows are probably the best 1on1 class in the game, but they have more trouble against healers then mara/sent. 1. Kinetic Shadow / Darkness Assassin (wearing DPS pvp gear) 2. Focus Sent / Rage Mara 3. Focus Guardian / Rage Jugg 4. Scrapper Scoundrel / Concealment Operative 5. Hybrid Vanguard / Hybrid Powertech
  5. This ability delay is not an intentional feature. Come on now, you honestly think that the developers intended that every time I hit sweep that my character stutters over and over again only going halfway through the animation then stopping? That is not a feature of the game, stop defending broken gameplay.
  6. This issue alone is probably the cause of at least 10% of unsubs from this game. I mean who likes to play a game where the commands you issue dont even work, and when they do work your character simply stutters in place instead? How can this company spend millions of dollars on voice acting and create a game which does not even respond to your control inputs?
  7. It should have nothing to do with accuracy, unless you want to turn this game into an RNG fest like WOW. Fact of the matter is that special abilities should work 100% of the time to remove RNG. This needs to be fixed.
  8. This thread is awful. No class should be able to burst someone down within a surprise stunlock to 30% health or less if the victim's CC break is on cooldown. This class is outright broken, and frankly the nerfs on the test realm arent even enough.
  9. No class should be able to bring another class to 30% health or less in the timespan of a surprise stunlock from stealth that does not allow the victim to move, react, respond, or do anything at all if their trinket is down. Any class caught with their CC-Break ability on cooldown is a free kill for this overpowered class right now. This is exactly what operatives and scoundrels can do to fully battlemaster geared players on live. It is absolutely broken and the fix was mandatory. The multiple fixes for patch 1.1 are excellent, despite the whines of biased Operative/Scoundrel players who cannot see past their own selfish agenda. Every other class in the game is very happy to see the fixes.
  10. Once they fix combat bugs, get rid of animation stutter, and make it so abilities actually work when you press them; then Sentinels will be on par at the medium skill level and borderline overpowered at the upper skill level.
  11. Pacify/Obfuscate: This ability now effects melee, ranged, tech, and force and no longer respects the global cooldown. Aside from this, fix combat responsiveness and fluidity so that abilities actually work when you try to use them.
  12. The sentinel/marauder is actually one of the best designed and most exciting classes in the game to play. The primary problem is that the combat in this game is so unfluid and unresponsive, that the class cannot function as intended. I'm going to list the primary bugs which are ruining the sentinel experience in PVE and PVP, please feel free to comment and add your own. 1. Ability Stutter: Abilities often play through one third to half of their animation, then stop without doing any damage or working. On occassion the global cooldown gets used without the ability working. 2. Complete Ability Failure: Abilities will completely fail to work quite often. The game will simply reject your commands. This happens most frequently when you try to use several abilities at once, especially abilities off the global cooldown. For example, if you use valorous call then immediately use transcendence, often the game will fail to allow transcendence to work. Another way to reproduce this bug is to charge, activate rebuke, activate a relic, activate an adrenal, force kick your opponent, and cast zealous strike. What you will find is that more then half of your abilities will fail to have worked, and in addition your zealous strike will most likely stutter and fail several times as well. 3. Knockbacks and Stuns Also Cause Ability Failure and Eat Your Global Cooldown. Often times if you are stunned or knocked back at exactly the same time that you use sweep or force leap, your ability will completely fail to do anything yet it will go on global cooldown. In addition, often times your sweep will go off after you land from the knockdown instead of canceling, thus hitting nothing. This is a complete joke in pvp. 4. PVP player prediction is extremely inaccurate, adversely affects melee. If you charge someone, or stun them in pvp, you can almost gaurantee that they are actually 5 yards in front of where the game is showing them. This bogus in-game prediction causes melee classes to try swinging at enemies where the client is showing them, but the ability constantly failing because the enemy is not actually there. One workaround to this is to attempt to position yourself facing 5 yards in front of where the enemy is facing, this helps with the issue. Sentinel/Marauder is an excellent class, that is designed very well. Its the unfluid, unresponsive combat and poor client side pvp prediction that adversely effects sentinel/maruder moreso then other classes (due to the multitude of abilities we have off the gcd which fail to work when used in combination and our melee requirements). If these issues were to be fixed, I am sure that there would be far fewer people on these boards complaining about how terrible this class is. This is not a terrible class, it is an excellent class that depends on a responsive and fluid combat system, which this game lacks. Please fix combat fluidity, responsiveness, and client side prediction. Thanks
  13. Ability Stutter, Ability Lag, etc... are the biggest problems with this game.
  14. Combat responsiveness is gonna make or break this game. Every single programmer should be working on this issue.

  16. I noticed this as well and I believe this is a result of the level 50 brackets being added in, thus the people you are hitting are wearing expertise. These brackets improved the game immensely.
  17. Why has the most important problem in the game not been fixed, yet a new operation which 5% of the population will do has been added? At least master strike doesnt channel without doing damage anymore, thats an improvement. Unfortunately my non global cooldown abilities frequently fail to cast after multitudes of keypresses.
