  1. Sounds good, I'll say exactly that then. Get better gear and learn to play because there are plenty of other Juggernauts around that know the advantages and limitations of the class that are doing just fine. You definitely don't have "epic" gear if you're running around in level 49-50 gear. If you aren't properly geared in a full PvP set at level 50 you're going to get crushed. That happens to everyone so gear up and deal with it.
  2. Hey all, Since 50 I've been playing Carnage and Rage back and forth but I want to give Annihilation a shot. It looks great with more sustained damage, self healing, quicker charge, etc. Just looking at the spec I threw this together: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bIbRr****zZhMMZh.1 I'm wondering about rage generation though, and if it would be better to take Enraged Charge instead of Defensive Roll or substitute something else. This is purely for PvP. Any recommendations from some Annihilation specced Marauders out there? EDIT: I have no idea why it's linking to the wrong build. It's specced with everything in Annihilation except Cloak of Annihilation, Seeping Wound, Ferocity, and Subjugation.
  3. The Operative nerf was desperately needed, not even sure why you're bringing that up. Looks like all the intelligent discussion is gone, all that's left is players unwilling to read any of the arguments posted in this thread and instead resort to letting the drool dripping from their chins type for them. Got some good points in though, good stuff.
  4. Missed the part where I already addressed that.
  5. I would like for you to point out to me how my thread is useless in any way whatsoever, I dare you in fact. I created it to have a discussion and that's what we're having, and so far it's been pretty good. We've talked about some aspects of the class that could use changing and how to go about that without making the Arsenal spec useless. I've seen the problems that the spec creates and at times I've had to deal with them myself, you don't win them all. Whether or not I've played the class makes no difference. How ironic, if I'm whining then I'd hate to hear what it's called that you're doing with your constant complaining about the simple fact that I created this thread. And put a question mark at the end of your questions, that's embarassing.
  6. You've already proven that you can't contribute anything except mindless dribble to the discussion so you should avoid making yourself look like more of a fool by continuing. I'm not going to get any responses to my opinion if I post on page 38 of any of the other TM threads. Jones hit the nail on the head, the problem lies with the design of the tree. While I seriously doubt that BioWare would consider reworking an entire class tree either out of fear of losing Merc subscriptions or simply because they're proud of the Arsenal tree and wouldn't want to touch it. Whatever the issue is, the main problem is the class design and not the ability itself. While Tracer Missile itself does have it's problems, it would be solved almost entirely by taking the emphasis off of it and making the damage rotation focus on other things as well.
  7. I can agree partially with that. It's difficult for me to talk in detail about your class since I've never played it, I only have my own experiences with my own to go on. At 50 I definitely agree the damage from Tracer Missile is pretty balanced but that the fact that it can be used over and over again imbalances it. Just to note, I'm not taking into account fresh 50s who have a less than ideal health pool when I'm talking about this because you can be wrecked by anything. Even if you use your maximum damage rotation in PvP which includes other abilities besides Tracer Missile I still feel that it's a bit too easy to use for the damage that it puts out (not saying it's too much but it's a good amount to be sure). I'd like to see it's damage boosted and a cooldown put on it. I feel that this would be a good compromise because in it's current state it's way too easy to put massive amounts of damage out with minimal effort even though you aren't getting maximum DPS, it does a ton of damage on it's own.
  8. Yeah, looks like we got a little off track right off the bat. Gonna clear a few more things up right now. Whether or not the thread is new or original is irrelevant. This forum is for discussing the game and it's positives and negatives. Meaning, I can post as many threads about class balance as I want. You being tired of seeing them isn't my problem. Moving on. I'll also clear up that as a Marauder I have had no problems taking down Mercenaries in my time PvPing. I've beaten my fair share in Ilum and in Warzones, looks like I should have included that in my OP. That by no means disqualifies me from bringing them up in any way. So off topic for a minute, Undying Rage is a bit much right now and I agree that something should probably be done about it. Not even going to get into Sorcerers/Sages because that's something I also feel strongly about and the amount of power and utility that they have, that's not what we're talking about here.
  9. Alright first of all, all of the Mercs around here that I've seen saying "well what else do you want us to cast?" are completely missing the point. Let's get this out in the open. WE ARE WELL AWARE THAT YOU DON'T HAVE MANY OTHER ABILITIES. THANK YOU. 3 main abilities is not an example of good class design. Let's face it, Tracer Missile is grossly overpowered. It does way too much damage for it's ease of use, I don't care if it's needed in order to use other abilities. Doesn't it feel like bad class design that for the vast majority of a fight you have to sit there immobile and cast this ability? In my experience, nearly every Merc that I've seen involved in an argument with another player who mentioned TM being overpowered acts like there isn't anything wrong and that they should just "deal with it noob." That's what we're seeing on the forums we well. Sorry guys, wrong attitude when you're playing a class that requires next to no skill and is obviously overpowered. I played an Operative before the HS nerf and you're damn right it was overpowered and I knew it, never gloated about it. Honestly BioWare takes the fault for it. Why does it not have a cooldown? I would be fine with it being an ability with higher damage than it has currently that can be used either outright or on a proc with a cooldown time. Now, about fighting Mercs. Yeah interrupting TM is easy and will lock them out for 4 seconds and that's wonderful. Besides that each class will have maybe one other way to interrupt the next one. However, LoS is NOT an option because let's keep in mind that there are other enemy players most likely nearby as well. Now that will always be a factor, obviously, but the fact remains that using LoS isn't really a solution. So I block them from attacking me for as long as I remain out of LoS, then what? Eventually I have to head back in there. Being a melee class you can see how I'd be apprehensive about heading into ranged territory. I'd love to play a Merc myself but that playstyle doesn't interest me in the slightest and it would be nice if it was balanced not just for everyone else's sake but current Mercs must find it boring. Oh and I was a 873624th time Gladiator in WoW, my net worth is over 24 billion, AND I know the meaning of life. Because I know someone will ask for my credentials for some reason. Let's see if we're capable of some intelligent discussion on this subject.
  10. He's saying that your level of camera zoom isn't saved whenever you leave a loading screen. It's also a problem that the camera takes far too long to zoom back out to where you had it when an object comes between it and your character. I completely agree.
  11. Do you have any plans to make changes to Ilum due to the amount of negative feedback from the community about the zone? Also, addons are a feature that many MMO players feel passionate about and are eager to have so are there any plans to allow them to be used in the game? Thank you.
  12. Agreed. It seems weird to me that this bug even made it into the game to begin with. I find it hard to believe that 1.1.2 wasn't tested before it was released or if it was, that the bug wasn't found. An emergency fix would be nice because I do understand that while it seems like a simple bug, it may not be simple to fix right away but something would be nice. I personally think the game has amazing potential and I do enjoy PvP but it's getting more and more difficult to overlook the problems and I definitely won't be paying monthly just to level each class to play their stories. Here's hoping for some fixes soon.
  13. I agree about the lateness of the changes to Ilum. While I have a vague idea of how a gaming studio is structured, I'm not an expert so I don't know how issues like this are discussed and worked on internally but it does seem like Ilum is lower on the priority list for BioWare than it should be. I personally don't think that having to win 3 warzones for a PvP daily is unreasonable at all, it just so happens that this bug that we're dealing with makes it even more difficult that it might already be for some people and that's not cool. I can only hope that the developers realize how important PvP is for this game and just because it had incredible hype before launch doesn't in any way guarantee that it will continue to be successful. I'm also keeping in mind that the game is an MMO after all so I welcome grinds and time sinks to a degree. If you want to raid, PvP, max out professions, farm mats, and run Hard Modes then I hope you're prepared to put a good amount of time into the game, it shouldn't be easy. Anyway, there seems to be a little confusion in this thread. I'm presenting the argument assuming that the warzone bugs will be fixed because they ARE hurting the quality of life in the game significantly. I'm merely stating that the notion that you shouldn't have to win the warzone for the daily was ridiculous. Not at all, I completely agree. This bug needs to be a top priority for the developers. That isn't the argument I was presenting.
  14. I don't look down on anyone. You strike me as the kind of person who makes judgements about people before getting to know them. The world, not only this game could do with less of you. If you want to have a constructive argument without personally insulting me, then I'm all for it. Back on topic, I am very aware of the annoying Warzone winning bug. I hope someone isn't making the argument that we should not have to win a warzone for the daily just because this bug exists. If you have a crappy team, I feel bad for you because we've all been there and it's not fun. Does that constitute BioWare changing the way the quest works just because you keep losing because of your team? No way. Take the time to browse the forums and read the threads started about removing the win requirement and you'll see that none of them are arguing for it because of the bug. Done and done. I'd like for you to point out to me where I stated that I was fine with the issues you just presented because it seems to me like you replied without reading the OP. I completely agree with you, all of those issues are terrible and need fixing. This thread isn't about that.
