  1. I'm all for a AC change. If you're under level 20, and only once. Otherwise.... No.
  2. Cybertech is one of the few really good skills to have maxed out.
  3. Assassin and Sorcerer are NOT the same class. You are asking for the ability to change 'Class', not 'Spec'. Assassin and Sorcerer are Classes. It's like going from a Warrior to Mage in other MMO's. I'm in favor of Dual-Spec, where you can have two saved skill tree builds. I'm not in favor of letting someone level to 50 as a Tank only to swap over to a Healer when the two classes are vastly different in play-style.
  4. Bounty Hunter can be a Tank, Healer or DPS... And no class can be a Tank and Healer. SW = Tank/DPS BH = Tank/DPS/Healer SI = Tank/DPS/Healer IA = Healer/DPS To break it down to each class: Juggernaut = Tank/DPS Marauder = DPS Powertech = Tank/DPS Mercenary = Healer/DPS Assassin = Tank/DPS Sage = Healer/DPS Operative = Healer/DPS Sniper = DPS
  5. 'Most', really? How many MMO's can you name with a 64bit client?
  6. I'd say start at 15 minutes. That's about how long a match can take and not horrible for someone who gets kicked rather than quitting. Then make it longer the more times it happens in one 24-hour period. 1st time - 15 minutes 2nd time - 30 minutes 3rd + time - 1 hour each Then just reset the counter once a day when the dailies reset.
  7. That's why I suggested the Armor, a knock-back and a maybe a speed-boost. You are right, you shouldn't be 100% safe just because you are on a speeder.
  8. To Each His Own. Define "Fun" or "Fail" with 10 different people and you'll get 10 different answers. I like the Space Combat. It feels like I'm playing a different game. I do that for maybe 10 minutes and then get back to the rest of the game. It's good for what it is. Would I like more? Yes, but they are working on that.
  9. How about a redesign of speeders? Right now speeders are nothing more than a run-speed boost; I think they can be much more. How about BioWare make them more like our Personal Ships and not just a boost to sprint? Make them upgradeable and customizable. Add in upgrade slots like you have on your personal Ship. Slot for Armor (To take more damage before you get knocked off) Slot for a Defensive ability (maybe an AOE knock-back?) Slot for an Engine (more speed, 90-110-150-200%, make the engines have level limits like ship parts.) Slot for Body (change the design or color/paint job.) Slot for Speed Boost (Short 2-5 second double speed with a few minute cool-down.) Give players one speeder and let them make it their own. You can even add in epic drops for upgrades into flashpoints. Just make them a bit more interesting and fun. Not a 'need' but it would be a neat feature, and the game mechanics are already in place. It wouldn't take too much time to program the rest. Just a thought.
  10. First thing I would do is defrag your HD. Sounds like the files access is taking a lot longer than normal.
  11. Takes me less then 30 seconds. So yea, something is wrong on your end.
  12. /stuck hasn't killed you after Closed Beta ended. I'm going to bet you never even bought the game and the last time you played was in Beta... C-ya!
  13. Oh look... 'EAware' the newest talking-point slogan for the naysayers... I think BioWare does know that they're doing.
  14. Watch this video: http://www.swtor.com/media/trailers/coming-star-wars-old-republic Look very close at around 01:30... This is being worked on as we speak. No one I know has credit problems. I'm just about to hit 40 on my second character and he has 600,000+ credits already. I have never come close to running out. No MMO has fully balanced classes. Balance in PvP is worked on from a group level, not one on one fights. This is also being changed as we speak...
  15. Just like in every other MMO launch in history... No MMO will ever launch bug-free.
  16. Why do people feel the need to inform the forums when they leave the game? I have stopped playing hundreds of games, I have never posted why on the forums... I don't get it. If you leave, BioWare knows it, so it's not like telling them helps. It seems like an ego trip, or are they trying to talk people into leaving with them? It's odd...
  17. I haven't seen anyone say 'software cannot affect hardware'. They are saying 'software cannot damage or burn-out hardware'. That is true enough. The only way for software to physically damage hardware is for there to be a problem with the hardware to begin with. GPU's, RAM, PSU's and MB's all have fail-safes built-in to power off the unit before damage can be caused by over-heating or power surges. If that fail-safe has been removed, or subverted in any way by the User, or is simply damaged THEN software can trigger hardware burn-out. But the software is NOT the direct cause of the damage.
  18. I had a client one time that insisted that someone installed a virus on his PC that burnt out his USB ports, and nothing I said would convince him it wasn't possible. When some people think they 'know' what is going on, they will not have their minds changed no matter what proof you place in front of them.
  19. TOR can not OC your GPU. But nice try.
  20. That's not 3rd party software...
