  1. If the situation you are describing is accurate, then it appears to be a bug, because your understanding of the rules is correct. That or you simply miscalculated when each team got the bridges. The team that attacks 2nd, needs to make it AS FAR as team 1 in LESS time, or farther in ANY amount of time. WIth the checkpoints being: 1st Door Bridges 2nd Door Force Fields 3rd Door Datacore Not typing this out because the OP doesn't know the rules, typing it out because while I have never seen the OP's bug, I have been in about 1073 matches where someone doesn't understand the rules, and claims hacks when the match ends before they expect it to end. Edit: And what Forsakenking said is correct, the timer is only reduced if the 1st team reaches the datacore, if they do not reach the datacore, the time for the 2nd round should always be 7:30
  2. That's one thing that has disappointed me since day one, is how often they re-color existing armor, rather than actually adding a new design. Or that when they add a new design, they make something outrageous, when frankly I would love a set that just looked like this: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=200388 But other than that, can't say I'm too disappointed with the event, it was pretty much what I expected. I think the weapons are pretty sweet, if I had a complaint it's that at the rate you accrue gray helix comms, I might have enough for 2 at the end of the event, when I was hoping for 1 of each.
  3. And the people kicking you were probably in un-aug'd Columi....
  4. Everybody in this thread - "Math math math math math, I'm smart, math math math, you're wrong, math math" The only answer that matters: Whenever you have RNG, people "feel" like they come out on the wrong side of the equation. People being mad at your game all the time = bad. Implement a system where you have a specific # of attempts to achieve a schematic. You have to RE 5 greens to get a blue, and 10 blues to get a purple. I'll gladly trade the "joy" of getting a schem on my 3rd attempt, to rid myself of the frustration of not getting one by the 37th, and then we are still making the investment in creds/mats/time etc.
  5. So just so I make sure I understand that method, you max out your ranked comms at 4500, and then buy bunch of weapons with your unranked, and then as they near the 2 hours you just kind of rotate your inventory, buying a new one, and refunding whichever is oldest. Then you ding 50, spend all your comms, refund all your weapons and you have 'blank' x 900 extra comms. Did I miss anything?
  6. Yes, because when healers don't heal anyone in HM FPs or OPS, there are no repercussions on the healer himself?
  7. Ever had your girlfriend cheat on you, with your dad? Just sayin...
  8. While I hate bubble stun with a passion, I do love animals. Not with a passion, that would be gross.
  9. Power gives .23 bonus damage per point, main stat gives .20 bonus damage per point, and .01 crit. with a 9% buff, every point of main becomes 1.09 giving .218 bonus and .0109 crit. 14 Cunning Augs, with a 9% buff would give 54.93 bonus damage and 2.74% crit. 14 power augs would give 57.96 bonus damage and 0 crit. Meaning somewhere you would probably have to swap out a power/artful mod for a crit/keen mod, losing more than you gained. I would stick with Cunning Augs, and unlettered mods. At least until operatives get force sweep...
  10. Leijae is the dude who said everyone on the server sucked, except Goof Troop. Harthar was the sorc in that failed troll attempt of Agape's that turned into the "feel-good story of the year".
  11. OK, as someone who plays a Balance Sage, AND a Rage Marauder. I will say that I think you are completely off base regarding which class is easier to play. Yes, the standard DPS rotation for Sage requires the pushing of fewer buttons than does the Rage Mara, and a lot fewer than Carnage or Anni. (But still more than PT) The difference is that when I am done pressing my 5 buttons on my Sage, I have done a LOT LESS damage, than after pressing 7 buttons on my Marauder. Give me a class that only has 1 attack, and therefore is the easiest class in the game, that would NOT make that class OP, just boring. And hopefully everyone understands that, including the OP, so I am not going to waste six paragraphs explaining why playing a lightly armored class with no defensive CDs, and no real burst, represents a different set of challenges than just pressing many buttons. The only thing you said that I actually DO agree with, is that 75% of the "nerf whatever" threads are started by players who chose a ranged class, and aren't very good at creating/maintaining range.
  12. I wear IA armor on my Mara, just cause I think it looks cooler, but when I go flying through the air at my enemies with 2 sabers flailing, I don't think they have any doubts which class I am, even if they have icons off.
  13. Fact - killing 2 players of any class, with 1 player is hard. Solution - Bring another player.
  14. The problem with playing against 5 healers as a DPS - They never die. The benefit in playing against 5 healers as a DPS - You never die. (and if you wanted to make a run at the record board, now is the time) Something will give eventually, if it doesn't and you lose, its because their 5 healers were better players than your DPS. Not just because they were healers.
  15. While this may be the most condescending thing ever written, there is a kernel of truth hidden in the self-righteousness. That being, I don't envy any MMO developer the task of keeping people engaged in a game, for over a year. Yeah they are still charging us, so they are obligated to continue to supply content, but still... I've been playing this game pretty much 5-7 days a week, for at least an hour or two a day (With entire 8-10 stretches when it first came out) and yes I am getting a little bored with it. Does that represent a failure of the game? KOTOR - One of the greatest games ever made. I did NOT play it every day for a year. I beat it 6-7x and then let it collect dust while I moved on to something else. Mass Effect - Great game. Replayed it probably 3x. Dragon Age - Awesome. Replayed it 5-6 times. Baldur's Gate - You get the picture. I have put more time into this game than all of Bioware's previous titles put together. To be fair to Bioware (which I know is not popular), I don't think the fact that I am ready for a break, represents a failure on their part. Game ain't perfect, but to say I didn't enjoy myself in something I did every day for a year, just makes me look like a masochist. TL;DR Yeah, I'm a little bored, might take a break, but I'll check out 1.7 and yes I pre-ordered Makeb.
  16. Perhaps, but I have to agree taking a 1200 point hit by just running out of spawn is kind of obnoxious, and pointless.
  17. Hate to pick one thing out of your wall of text, but....
  18. This part made me laugh anyway...
  19. To be fair, most of the Harbinger community would just think "hey, Psi is making another video!". Anyone truly enraged by their experimentation should just exercise their unalienable right to leave the WZ.
  20. Well then guess what? You don't have to play IN a premade. You are completely empowered to choose your "style" of play. Is not wearing armor a "style"? How about stacking Cunning on a Juggernaut? No one is taking away your special individuality... The problem isn't that you do not want to choose with whom you play, the problem is that you DO want to choose who you play against. You have the right to ignore teamwork and the benefits it provides. You do NOT have the right to force others to ignore teamwork, because you choose to gimp yourself. Which is what youre really asking for when you propose kicking anyone who has the sense to team up, out of the regular queue. "I am choosing to gimp myself despite the clear advantages of playing as a team with people I know, but I would still like to win, so Bioware, please don't let anyone else play as a team either". Solo-queuing for a "team" event is not actually a "play-style", it's just a disadvantage. If you choose to play at a disadvantage, then the expectation should be that you lose more often, not that you force your intentional disadvantage on the whole community.
  21. Oh it does, you know, except when people are putting the bubble ON a smasher.
  22. You don't have a problem against 1-2 people wearing bubbles, or casting them? Cause it really on takes 1 competent bubble caster to make sure the rest of the team is all bubble, all day.
  23. You mention that PvP is just about killing people, whereas PvE is about mastering a rotation, I have to disagree. There's not a PvPer in the world who wouldn't LOVE it if they could fight someone and just go through their rotation. All (good) PvPers know what the best rotation is for their toon, the added bonus is that you are playing against a thinking person, who not only knows their rotation, but knows your rotation, and is doing everything in their power to throw you out of it.
  24. PvE is a science. PvP is an art. While not everyone is a scientist, we all learn science. Some people have no artistic ability whatsoever, no matter how much they practice. I won't belabor the point as it's been said in earlier posts. Both need to know game mechanics and execute them quickly. But PvE represents a finite level of variables, PvP technically presents an infinite level of variables. In short, if you "study" hard enough, you will inevitably improve your performance in PvE, as you will eventually account for all the variables. Whereas with PvP, you can NEVER account for all the variables, thus it requires a quickness of reaction and thought, that is more an innate trait, than a learned one. Possessing that trait will help you in both, not possessing that trait will limit you to PvE. Therefore PvP > PvE. Ok so I did belabor the point...
