  1. Welcome to the Harbinger, losing chat is just part of the ambiance.
  2. Translation: Not only am I too lazy to find people to group with, but the people that do find people to group with, should have to find twice as many people, and then hop into a queue that pops once an hour, or if it's popping faster, it's because you are facing the same team over and over and over. All because playing solo is my way of expressing my special individuality, and I am standing up for Truth, Justice, and the American Way, by intentionally gimping myself in warzones, and then whining the Bioware should gimp everyone else instead. That one got away from me a little...
  3. Did they actually remove Psi's post about Left 4 Dead? Bioware, hiding the "evidence" of people playing other games, doesn't actually stop people, from playing other games. Less forum policing, more lag fixing. Thank you.
  4. I would do a bunch of dailies, but I am busy PvPing.
  5. Yeah this game needs more of the mature types that insult the entire player base at one time.
  6. Yeah cause doing PvE dailies takes more skill than actually playing against other people. Lol. But then again if you are actually paying significant repair cost for completing dailies....you are failing at the easiest part of the game..
  7. If you're really out, happy trails bud.
  8. I'm not spending over 20 million credits (1 for PvE, 1 for PvP) per toon, to RE-augment my gear. I will go without, and when I feel gimped, I will just quit. I don't know if it's the crafters being greedy, or Bioware making it too hard for them to get mats, I don't care. 20 million per toon is not a "challenge", its a slap in the face. Thank you Bioware.
  9. And to the players. I'm a PvPer mostly. I have like maybe 7 million between my toons. It would cost me 10.2 million to buy aug kits and might augs for ONE of my toons. And from what I take from this thread, that would be cheap. No. I'll just go without, and when I start getting owned by scrubs just because they have like 420 more str than me, then I just move on to another game.
  10. My issue with the mobs is that they are packed a little too tight. Yes, for the first time in like a year, there is actually a benefit to taking out some mobs (XP), but if I have to back track through a certain area, I don't want to re-fight all of them. Just like anywhere else, you should be able to avoid mobs by sticking to the middle of the road. Id rather AFK for 30 minutes till my QT is back, than retrace my steps.
  11. Same here. My Level 50 Sage was able to grab a PvP daily and weekly, my 52 Sent was only able to grab a daily, my level 52 Mara can't grab either.
  12. So does this mean you will not be maintaining the Server Records thread? Have fun man.
  13. Dude, I have over 1200 Force bonus damage on my level 33 sorc. Bolster is jacked.
  14. I think his point is simply... Me - Full min/maxed EWH = 21k HP The random level 38 sorc I was just with, in level 33 GREENS (yes 33) = 25k hp Working as intended? Really? Im seriously considering buying bad green gear for the next 5 levels...
  15. Well if you would have bothered to quote my entire sentence, it would have been obvious from context that the definition of "trying hard" in my example, was someone who really wants to be good, but as of yet has not attained that label. While your "all or nothing" philosophy about the word "trying" is mildly interesting, it doesn't change the fact that there are degrees to the effort one can apply to a given endeavor. Presumably those degrees also reflect someone's emotional investment, and likelihood of wigging out on a group of strangers. My point was that while there are degrees to effort, there is no particular degree that ever "earns" you the right to behave badly. People keep citing examples of the complete failures people are capable of in a WZ, they are frustrating, there is no debating that. I am not suggesting that anyone experiencing those things should NOT feel frustrated. The point I am trying to drive home, is that NO ONE CARES that you are frustrated. And no one SHOULD care, that you are frustrated. Get over yourself. You are nothing, nobody (we all are, for as long as we are strangers to one another). The rest of the world has no responsibility to take notice of your emotions, no matter how little self control you have regarding your need to express them. Secure people deal with adversity, while maintaining self control. Insecure and frankly selfish people must share through acting out, the burden of any adversity they encounter. There's 4 kinds of people: The kind that are too scared/meek to rage. The kind that are too secure to ever feel the need to rage. The kind that need to spray the world with their insecurity. The kind that while secure enough to remain quiet, are too self-important to do so. Pick one I guess. Cause one thing you will NEVER be, is the dude with any formal authority, or any earned respect, from the general player base of the SWTOR game. (Any point at which I address someone as "you" is not necessarily directed just at the person to whom I replied)
  16. It's not a punishment to be more likely to face a premade group, as a premade. (If every WZ has a premade in it, as some in this thread claim, then technically we already are...) It becomes a punishment when me and my friends have to wait longer for a queue, just because people who aren't very good, think that their 14.99/mo entitles them to at least a .500 record when competing against other players, who are also paying 14.99/mo. NO ONE has the "right to win". WE ALL have the "right to play". And people are trying to mess with my "right to play", because they think they have the "right to win".
  17. Dear Bioware, I am an easy win for any team that has at least 4 competent players. Please disallow teams with at least 4 competent players, because I have no intention of becoming better, or finding 3 competent players with whom to group. Thank you.
  18. No. I don't. I know this because I queue solo about 1/2 the time, despite being in one of the better PvP guilds on my server. When I queue solo, I win about 50% of my matches. When I queue with my guildies (with whatever 3 are on, despite their class), we win about 90% of the time. And unless we are doing rated, we don't even bother with mumble most of the time. I like to listen to music and watch sportscenter when I pvp. Complaining about losing to premades is weak. Complaining about being stomped by premades, but insisting they are bad players and the only reason you lose to them is because the have voice and/or perfect comps? Just stop. You're embarrassing yourself.
  19. Being a decent human being > being good, or trying hard at a video game While I certainly wouldn't afk it because some dill-hole talked some smack, I powerfully resent the idea that someone yelling at strangers is "justified". Find a fat chick. Knock her up. Have some rugrats. Wait 13 years and play some MMO PvP with them. Those are the ONLY people at whom you will EVER have the right to yell. Everyone else is tolerating your bad behavior because you are safe and anonymous on the internet, NOT because you have the "right or justification" to behave that way. Period. Make no mistake. Person A talks smack. Person B decides to afk it for the rest of the match to spite them. Person A is NOT the "good guy" in that scenario.
  20. I have no issue with the bolster from a competitive standpoint. I am a better than average PvPer, meaning when I run into a player I don't know, who has 19k health, I still expect to win, and usually do. But conversely, when I am running from point A-B, and I roll over some poor guy with 14k health, and kill him in 2-3 seconds, I actually feel kinda guilty. I figure anyone I can kill in 3 seconds in recruit gear, I can kill in 7-8 seconds in EWH. So if the bolster means I don't get to kill anyone in 3 seconds, I can live with that. What irks me about it is fairness. If the bolster is going to make PvE gear 'almost' as good as top end PvP gear, then I want to be able to run Scum and Villainy HM in my top end PvP gear, which I don't know if I'll be able to do. Give me a PvE bolster, and I'll call it good.
  21. When you insist that you are better than the people who roll you all the time, it really just looks like a pretty obvious defense mechanism. Jus' sayin.
  22. The "punishment" is making them go into their own queue, and thus have to wait longer for a match, just because they are good. The only model we have for this is ranked, and we know how that worked out.
