I said it before and no one responded, but it's still the answer. If you see 8 people from the same guild, quit. Problem solved. If your pride demands that you try your hardest and never quit a WZ, then your pride should also demand you don't complain about your competition. Trying to roll your ranked team against a PuG is a **** move, and I'm not suggesting people should put up with it; but rather than asking Bioware to mess up the queue structure, just make use of the handy "Leave Warzone" button.

Occasionally ending up with 2 4mans is one thing, quitting over and over again until you do, is quite another. What I don't get is the PuGs on the other side who stick around... You see 8 people with the same guild tag, and you're in a pure 8 man PuG, bounce. There is no quitter debuff, the best way to "thwart" someone who is exploiting the system, is to not bother playing against them at all. The first time they might be all like "Yeah, we are so leet! They can't handle our powuh!" But by the 6th time their WZ ends after 1 min...

Yeah, I really only bother gearing up like every 10 levels, and even then only with what I can get with planetary comms, or buy cheaply on the GTN. The exception is level 49. As I do daily quests, I obviously end up with a lot of orange drops, which rather than sell, I just send to my alts so they can rip the mods out at level 49, and enjoy one level of twinkage/godmode before they jump into the 50 queue.

I love it when people make nonsense statements, and then fashion themselves "master manipulators" when they receive an abundance of negative responses. I agree that one needn't be on a PvP server to exhibit PvP acumen, however I disagree that most people would switch to a PvP server if given the chance. As you said, the only real difference is the constant threat of interruption/ganking when you are trying to complete an objective that has nothing to do with PvP, by people who extol that behavior for no other reason than Bioware has provided an environment where it is possible; who wants that? Oh wait...

And don't forget they get a 9% damage buff on all attacks for 6 seconds after using smash.

Woot! Got on finally. And was immediately killed by a 45448 flameburst, for which I of course feel lucky, as the guy's highest hit was 90k. Hoping that was at least a Rail Shot... What a waste of time.

Basically the old tree was +20% base damage + 25% base damage per shockwave (4 ticks max) 100% crit chance +30% crit damage on all force attacks New tree is: +20% base +33% base per shockwave (3 ticks max, but you can no longer get them from force choke) 100% crit chance +15% crit damage on all attacks, not just force. So basically they cut out 15% crit damage on smash, but added it everywhere else, and made it a bit harder to get stacks of shockwave. But they also buffed all other attacks 9% after using smash for 18 seconds if swtorspy is right, and made slash stronger. You should still be able to wreck people with it, I think they were less interested in nerfing it, and more interested in making it a 3 trick pony. BW loves their Shii-cho form. But carnage looks pretty sweet too...

Well yeah, that is specifically to whom it appeals. Leveling your 1st or even 2nd 50 is fun, it's the 4th - 12th that are so boring people would actually consider having this dude do it for them. Pretty sure the whole concept is a relatively serious security violation in BW's eyes, and this thread will be deleted, but still good prices.... Edit: Just realized he was probably not offering to do it for you, just to act as an "escort". Less appealing.

Yeah I thought of that, would be a lot like a stealth sap, but you know, without the stealth, and with a CD, and without actually sapping someone. I'm not saying it's totally useless, I'm just saying it's less useful than everything else, ever.

Yeah it's pretty awesome. Haven't tried it yet, but sounds like Sage/Sorcs have an awesome new ability where they get to stare at the person who is about to kill them for 10 seconds, while that person spams basic attacks to build resources and waits for their big hitters to come off CD. They should rename it "waiting".

Sages got a really awesome new ability though. I intend to call it "waiting for other classes to show up". Sages couldn't survive on their own, so instead of adding an ability that increases their survival while fighting, they added one that apparently let's you stand perfectly still and do nothing for 10 seconds until someone shows up to maybe distract the PT that is about to molest you. Oh yeah, PTs got a friggin shoulder rocket... On a side note, my Mara likes this change, I'm assuming I can just sit there beating on the Sage's shield, building rage, and waiting for my big hitters to come off CD...

Yeah, that pretty much utterly and completely baffled me. That and of course no changes to resolve at all. Sometimes their decisions look like they are crossing the line from "bad" to "actively sabotaging their own game".
