  1. Ilum is not terrible, i can be good if the right crowd is there. I just feel something is missing from it, it needs more, maybe more objectives, more incentives to get more players there and keep it active. We went from trading objective points to grinding araments which gets just as boring. Whats the point of a map that size if its not gonna be used? I hate to say it but Ilum may need some PvE in its PvP to get that zone really working, whether it be world bosses that spawn if x,y,z objectives are captured and defended or a few instances unlock or even unlocking quest hubs that offer some really cool pvp based quest lines for rare weapons armor or vanity Items. Ilum just needs more stuff.
  2. The good Operatives won't have an issue with this "nerf" and will continue to play just as well as they did prior, it will be a minor adjustment and not class breaking in anyway.
  3. The quest is almost not worth doing anymore, it takes me on average 5-7 wins to complete that thing, there has been days where it took me 9 wins to complete it, good thing I love pvping otherwise I would never take that quest again.
  4. I 100% agree with you on the "hard work" to get better, the gear grinds, teaming up with friends to pvp with, trial and error of different specs, strats, etc and doing whats needed to over come challenges is everything I play an MMO for. BUT it belongs in end game not at level 10-49. 10-49 is for learning, capturing the feel for your class, learning the in's and out's of the game itself and most of all having fun. A level 50 especially a geared one has no business competing with players in the sub 49 because well its not a challenge what so ever and it provides them with no benefits, they are not learning anything, they are not improving in anyway, they are just getting free wins and gear for little to no effort which in my opinion makes the gear feel very welfarish. Now that the 50 bracket is in many of these "skilled" players are getting stomped in the ground and you are starting to see who the actual skilled players are and those are the ones that will improve your game play significantly and provide the challenges needed to improve and progress further, NOT levels 10-49.
  5. The bracket is 100% needed, there is no skill what so ever in its current situation UNLESS the warzone I am in consist of mostly 50's, otherwise its no fun what so ever as a 50 playing against lower levels in warzones and the gear I "earned" doing so feels very welfare-ish due to the fact of being able to faceroll lowbies all day with them having zero chance of defending themselves. On another note I just brought in 2 friends of mine to swtor, they got to level 10, they love to pvp and on their first night of pvping all they got was matches of 90% 50's, alot of premades and they got stomped so badly all they said was "the game is cool and all but let us know when the brackets are in and maybe we'll come back", I am positive many many players from all servers feel this way also. PvP needs a very sensitive balance in order for it to succeed in the long run., If lvl 10's are forced to pvp against lvl 50's in end game gear they are going to have a very bad experience and most likely not pvp anymore, on the flip side lvl 50's will get tired of the lack of challenge and also not pvp anymore which will all lead to a very small boring PvP system in the long run. Its all about progression and in Swtors current state no one is progressing.
  6. I have been playing Madness spec and it has been good fun. From the multiple specs I have played the general consensus I have come up with is we are the "Take it for the team" class. We are the ones who help everyone else be effective longer, with timely mind and mass mind controls, our guard ability to help protect flag carriers and healers, our CC's when used in a timely matter buys a ton of time for healers to catch up or for a flag carrier to get away, consistent dps pressure through AoE's, dots, as well as our CC's and slows to help kill flag carriers and just enough abilities to sneak away and pick off some lower health targets, we can take out others 1v1 just takes a bit of patience. We die a alot, but by doing all these things mentioned helps the team alot and is worth it IMO. I usually always get anywhere between 7-10 medals per WZ, finish within top 3 in damage on my side and rack up a ton of objective and protection points and I am not even level 50 yet, even get some mvp votes using this philosophy, just take it for the team
  7. Sadly 80% of my matches I played in the last 2hrs was my whole team all under 50 theres all geared 50's. We were actually forced afk'd several times due to them farming us at the drop in point of Voidstar, couldnt get out of the saftey zone fast enough before getting killed. And the matches that were more even still was very tough, even if you were lucky enough to gain control of the situation things would change in a single stun critted massively to your death in a matter of 3sec tops.............../end rant sorry Have to say tonight was hands down THE worst PvP experiences of my MMO career (10+yrs now).
  8. Yeah Aion was a really rough grind but was a great feeling once the gearing process was accomplished, hopefully I get that same feeling here
  9. Had no idea the game needed to be resuscitated and was failing so bad especially when I see more and more people on everyday. Who would've thunk it, more players = bad and failing. But seriously, I just do not understand, Swtor has been out for 21 days, 21 DAYS, and every single feature and amount of content from every MMO in MMO history combined has not been added to the game yet, this is just absurd, its been 21 days get with it BW! /end sarcasm Things will be fixed and stuff will be added just give it time, and if you don't have the patience and do not like the game then go to that other place, I hear pandas that do kung fu and pokemon will be waiting for you soon, and leave us be with our Wookiees and Sand People.
  10. Yeah 100% agree! I find it absolutely absurd that 18 DAYS into launch and every single bug, glitch problem hasn't been ironed out as well as the adding of 25 raids, 52 raid bosses, 3 more warzone maps , a LFD, LFR, LFG, xserver LFD, LFR, LFG, arenas, bracketed pvp etc! This is unreal that BW doesn't care about its customers enough to do these things when they clearly had 18 days to do so, this game and BW are fail! /sarcasm On a serious note Swtors launch was far greater and smoother then the launch of WoW's Wotlk and Cata, servers were basically unplayable for quite a few days afterwards, since it's considered "unfair" to compare it to vanillas launch.
  11. 10/10! OP post is spot on and now I cannot read any other QQ post on these forums without LOLing at them! Many do not seem to realize that Swotor is only in its foundation stage, once all the bugs are polished out and improvements to game play are done this game will really take off and become epic! I know we are only 2 1/2 weeks in and alot of the players here QQing all the time were expecting 11 raids, 120 bosses, perfectly balanced classes, 20 more warzones, an arena system, a LFR, LFD, LFG and being to get to all those things without ever leaving your main cities mailbox to be released by now, but give it time some of that stuff will eventually make it in and maybe some better stuff too.
  12. Totally disagree in the games current stage. In warzones anyone can take out anyone if you time your abilities properly, yes 50's have more tools but alot of the 50's i have seen so far don't know how to use them, even at level 10 I took out quite a few easily. BUT for future players once people understand their classes better it could be a potential problem and better bracket system might be needed.
  13. 100% agree. When playing Swtor treat it as Swtor, this is not WoW or Rift or Aion or etc its Swtor, yes there is going to many similar elements from many other games good and bad but how could there not be and on the flip side of that Swtor does not need every thing from every other game either, cause well its Swtor. I play it for what it is and ya know what I greatly enjoy it, I am fine with there being no arenas, no lfr or lfd's or other things that are in games x,y,z cause this is Swtor, and if I wanted to do those other things I can play those games as well. (shocking revelation......you are allowed to play multiple games not just 1) As far as melee being under powered thats just not true, if you know how and when to save certain abilities any and all classes can be facerolled ranged or melee.
  14. 110% Worth it! Yes this game has some problems but overall this was hands down the best most polished launch I have ever seen for a new MMO and really look forward to what BW does next. The PvE so far is pretty good, not WoW TBC good but good and its PvP is exactly what one would expect for a fresh MMO, its good enough but could use some more bells and whistles.
