  1. Hey now, calm down guys. I'm sure tomorrow morning when Andryah gets in to work at BioWare* and logs into his non-moderator account here that he'll intelligently express how you're all full of beans and every one of 202 servers has 15,000 players on it! Think positively! * Some of us here did a little experiment since it all seems a bit fishy. Anyways, if you post ANYTHING negative about Andryah, you'll get an official warning against your account within FIVE MINUTES of posting. I found this out by PM'ing a few others in this thread who had attacked him personally. Now, when it takes TWO WEEKS to get a real person to look at a game-stopping in-game petition in this stupid game, the only possible way a moderator would be doing things in five minutes is if Andryah was the moderator himself. In any event, just more massive dishonesty from BioWare. Cancel this game while you still have your sanity. Guild Wars 2 is very fun and coming soon!
  2. They lost 300,000 in the first month. In the second month, my server's population is down a good 25-33%. This is also about the same percentage of guildmates who no longer log on since the end of month one. They lost at least another 300,000 in month two by my estimate. At this rate, they'll be down to a reasonably stable 500,000 with huge player turnover within a couple more months. Good job, EA. Forcing BioWare to release this game a good six months before it was truly out of beta phase cost you hundreds of millions of dollars.
  3. 100% agree with the OP. My guild is in exactly the same situation. We tend to have a few more PvP'ers than the OP's guild, but the same three stupid warzones get REALLY old after a few thousand runs and Ilum is a total joke. Even the world PvP on Ilum might be fun enough to keep people around for a while if it wasn't for the horrendous - and non-changeable at this point - game engine making it a FIVE FPS lag-fest (no matter how awesome your PC is) with more than twenty people in the same area. This game is going to have massive turnover as its primary basis for maintaining 500,000 subs or so for the next few years.
  4. Exactly. EA/BioWare deserve to lose vast millions of dollars simply for allowing all of these ex-Mythic idiots to continue to work at their company. What a sad, sad joke. The first five names in the New York phone book could design better PvP systems than the last few games these Mythic imbeciles have produced. I hear ArenaNet (unlike BioWare, Trion, etc.) didn't hire any of the many ex-Mythic tards and you might want to check out this new game I hear they have coming out this year.
  5. Stop being a complete jerk. You can do a "/who 50 Sage", etc. and add them all up. It's very easy. Just because you don't have the intellect to figure this out doesn't mean the rest of us didn't. And he's correct. The top 5 PvP servers have Imp:Rep ratios of from 3:1 to 6:1 at all times of the day. BioWare totally dropped the ball on balancing the side. EVERY single person awaiting this game knew the Empire side was "cooler" with lightning-shooters, "being evil", better gear, better classes, better stories, attracting better PvP players, etc. They needed to add a ton of "super cool" stuff to Republic to balance it out, but they didn't. Ah well, what's a few hundred thousand lost subs, huh?
  6. I also lost mail sent to a level 1 alt, and it's been over TWO WEEKS with no response other than the same insane, absolutely insulting auto-bot garbage that you got. EA/BioWare's decision to not hire any real people for CS is going to cost them hundreds of millions of dollars in lost subs. It makes no sense to me as an employer why you wouldn't invest a million into CS to save hundreds of millions a year from now. I've never seen such short-sighted business behavior in my entire life. I wonder if EA's stockholders are aware of how unbelievably incompetently EA's management is handling this issue. CEO's can be fired, you know.
  7. EA/BioWare's decision to not hire any real people for CS and to give their entire company three weeks off after TOR's release will cost them 400,000 lost subscriptions within the first two months. I've also had petitions in-game for over TWO WEEKS with the only response being the absolutely insulting auto-bot garbage. Combined with zero communication from the devs since release, not having level 50s in their own queue for warzones, end-game raiding being bugged to being nearly non-playable, and countless thousands of bugs, this is shaping up to be a major disaster of a release.
  8. I'm sure this attitude works out OK for you at that burger-flipping job. When you get out in the real world, a product you sell is expected to work WHEN YOU SHIP IT and AS ADVERTISED. BioWare deciding to give the entire company three weeks off since TOR was released is beyond bizarre, and one of the most stupid business decisions I've ever seen in my life. Just the fact that they haven't given level 50s their own warzone queue yet has already cost them tens of thousands of subscribers. Oh, and it's "utmost", not "Up most".
  9. You could always put in a petition in-game. ... wait for it ... HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!! ****!!! LOLOLOL! Yeah, anyways, good luck with that. This is what will happen to your "petition"... - Five to fourteen days later, you'll get an auto-response from a CS bot that parsed your message, sends you some useless drivel, and "closes" your petition as "solved" - Petition again, and five to fourteen days later.... I think you get the point. There are no CS "real people" employed by EA/BioWare to support this game. Just suck it up, have some fun for a few months, then flip EA the bird and come play Guild Wars 2 with the rest of us.
  10. BINGO! You are the winner, sir! Since EA/BioWare refuses to fire the ex-Mythic imbeciles who brought us the massive failure of Warhammer Online, we're getting the *EXACT* same game mechanics once again. This whole "Contribution" thing was also in Warhammer Online and, after very careful analysis conducted over many months, it was finally determined by the players that the "Contribution Points" you received for taking keeps/objectives, etc. had absolutely nothing to do with how much you "contributed" but was determined by this highly detailed formula, brought to you by the best PvP game design wizards in the industry: /random 1000 That's it! EA/BioWare's TOP SEKRIT "Contribution" score for every one of their PvP games, including Star Wars TOR.
  11. This is not the PvP game you're looking for. EA/BioWare refuses to punish utter, complete failure and fire the imbeciles on their staff who used to work for Mythic, so PvP in their games will always be a CC- infested, complete joke. Guild Wars 2 beta is soon! EA has also apparently decided to not spend any money on Star Wars and just pull in as many millions as they can, as soon as they can. They've obviously spent near-zero dollars on customer support, for example (don't even bother putting in a petition in game - response time is over TWO WEEKS), which indicates no long-term support plans for this game. Also, you *CAN'T* have significant rewards for world PvP or we both know you'll have "Sploiter Dewds -Empire" guild fighting "Sploiter Dewds - Republic" guild and just trading wins back and forth all day long for the rewards. This situation is already happening on Ilum, where Republic and Empire will intentionally not attack each other so they can trade point captures back and forth. It's also happening in Huttball, where guilds on opposite sides will deliberately sabotage their team to trade wins. This game is intended to be "KotOR 3" and you will generally only get enjoyment by playing a PvE class story to 50, then starting over again.
  12. Wrong. I read every word of the OP, agree with it all, and appreciate the time he spent writing it. BioWare giving the entire company two weeks off for the holidays will go down as the worst decision in MMORPG management history. Hundreds of thousands of subscribers will quit due to ZERO communication, no CS at all (none - they don't even have any real people on the CS payroll), horrendous PvP, blah blah blah.
  13. I'd bet they're losing 25,000+ rage-cancellations per day due to this insanity. Every day the BioWare devs completely ignore their customers is massed tens of thousands of permanently lost customers. There are other MMORPGs out there - and coming soon - guys. While you're solving this problem, fire the last vestiges of ex-Mythic imbeciles who worked on this joke of a PvP design.
  14. Newb Alert . See, there's this limited resource thing in this game called Energy/Force/etc. You can't do DPS if you actually care about supporting your team the way you should be, i.e., by healing them.
  15. Real simple: Not having level 50s in their own warzone queue. I happen to be level 50 myself. It's just stupid that I have the time to type "/giggle" while tanking three level 10-30s on my healer, and I guarantee it's not fun for them. Also, if we don't have a new warzone by the end of the first month, that's another few hundred thousand subscriber subs gone. The original three warzones are already hideously boring, and nobody but Sages/Inquisitors likes Huttball at all.
