To be fair, there was a good bit of consideration given to releasing the game as F2P, as that seems to be the wave of the MMO future. That aside, I have to ask... if the game is "so horrible," then why are you still here?

Cannot believe that this has been an issue for so long. This is my first SI, going full dark-side, and it really breaks the immersion to have the back of my skull poking out through the hood through half the game.

To be fair, your sub grants you game access; it does not inherently convey forum access. If you doubt this, you can test the matter by continuing to post vitriol and see how long it takes somebody to start tossing around bans like bead necklaces during Mardi Gras.

I've been playing and having fun every day, with a rare exception here and there for that "real life" stuff, and only occasionally encounter a bug here and there, mostly graphical in nature. If you cannot play, then you're doing it wrong. Since disappointment is completely subjective, I cannot speak to that... but I can suggest that you maybe lower your expectations to something a little more reasonable.

You first. Since you're such a fan of the "put up or shut up" approach, I assume you'll have no problem producing a screenshot of yourself on the fleet with >200 toons on-screen. If anyone was taking you seriously before, you've just relieved them of that affliction. You obviously haven't even played the game.

It's a general assumption that a significant contingent of the whiner brigade are children, paid Activizzard shills, or are legitimate customers with enough common decency to follow through with their threat to cancel. Large swaths of all three groups will, hopefully, have inactive accounts when the subscription comes due, resulting in a much more enjoyable forum environment.

Could you try putting all of your review requests into a single post/thread? It makes you infinitely easier to ignore.

The forums will simply be like this for the first couple of months. The Activizzard shills will drop off around the same time that kids' parents discover that the game has a monthly fee, so you will see a significant traffic reduction in the next 24-48 hours. Legitimate customers will continue to have a large whiner contingent as the launch bugs are worked out in the weeks/months following; this will slowly dwindle as people find workarounds or get tired of crying, and as the development process settles into a routine of bugfixing and optimization. Within six months, the forum population will begin to stabilize with regular posters and a more supportive atmosphere. Try back then.
