  1. Please support TERA instead of the Secret World!!!
  2. I am going to say what I usually say: This is not an original game at all. It's not just about the factions, it' about the whole game; they could've created some unique and lovely but they were simply too lazy or too money hungry to stray from the "generic path".
  3. If I've spent 100 hours getting gear to become stronger, I should be stronger than someone that have spent 1 hour. lol at people not agreeing to this, it's only like the biggest aspect of any rpg. The more you invest in your character the mightier the character gets is only what defines a rpg. Good going defending SWTOR from absolutely everything.
  4. Hurrrr mods are for casuals, this isn't wow /grumpy
  5. I hate how they bring up their very high statistic just to show like "oh look how grand!". - This took me 60 000 milliseconds to write.
  6. Because IQ is knowledge. (an alien doing the Scooby-doo grin)
  7. It's not very hard to figure out why. There are perfectly valid reasons such as: - They feel they cannot communicate properly because of their bad english. Just how you don't want to hang out with them because you cannot communicate with them, they don't want to hang out with you. - Emos like to hang out with emos, rappers with rapper etc... People seek groups that are similar to them. - Very much hate on other nations and ignorance. Posts in this thread shows this as well, people have their own opinion about certain nations. - Some countries, such as the cultural pillars of Europe; Spain, France, Italy, are very proud people and really treasure their culture and heritage. May not be as much as "international" as other such as Scandinavian countries.
  8. A pretty weird place. The taxi rides are cool I guess but the rest feels like a huge garage.
  9. Advertise moar plx, one of these ads per day isn't enough I nearly missed this today
  10. 1. A complete WoW ripoff except inferior. 2. Pretty much what WoW had. 3. Hmm the hype, more like expectations? In that case kinda, I was a bit surprised by the lack of things WoW had, both good (flexible UI) and bad (dungeon finder etc). The dialogue for even common grind quests was a good but unexpected surprise. My expectations were that it was gonna be a WoW-in-space, which is exactly what it is so did it live up to my hype? Kinda. (bonus) 4. Why did you even buy the game if you knew it was going to be a WoW-ripoff, something you clearly think was the dumbest decision ever? Answer: Lack of interest for other mmorpgs, bad habit of trying out major mainstream mmorpgs when they get released etc...
  11. No i would not. I have more single player games on my to-play list than I will probably ever will have time or energy to plow through. This game does not live up to the quality/standards of a single player game, not even remotely close. Playing the offline version would be insane!
  12. I'd say that this is in no way an excuse. If WoW are using spells identical to spells from 90's games and SWTOR is copying the WoW spells then perhaps we could say that SWTOR is being even less creative/original? With a major game company with a game set in a completely different environment than WoW, you'd expect something different. It doesn't have to be something 100% new but this is just too identical. You seem to be under the impression that I am defending WoW, which I am not. This is a very common excuse I see around here, just because WoW may have done some serious rip-offs doesn't mean it's OK for SWTOR to do the same. When a game is about giving us an experience, it is kinda boring to give us content and mechanics that are identical and whether if it's SWTOR or WoW doing this, doesn't matter.
  13. I understand you. There is no actual way to defend this so you resort to the old "sarcastic comment "-reply. It's very overused these days because people use it very often when it's actually not working. Your reply makes no sense, it's not relevant to my post in anyway. The w-to-walk is more or less a way to present the game, you need a computer, a mouse, a keyboard. Pressing the left mouse button lets the player do this and pressing these keys on the keyboard let's the player walk and jump. The other is what is being presented, a gameplay-mechanic that is not similar but pretty much copied from another game. It's like I just went "hey this cellphone application has the same colors and almost identical design as this other cellphone application that it's competing with." And you're trying to counter with "Yeah not to mention they are both cellphone applications!" It just doesn't work does it?
  14. ... Really? Is it possible for some here to defend this game even more? The only difference is the effect duration and effect. Both spells do the same thing and both even have talents that improve the same thing? Allow me to present you just a very very quickly thought up way they could've made it more unique instead of copying the exact spell and the exact talent to improve this spell. "A shield that absorbs damage. "element x" based attacks are not affected by the shield. "element y" based attacks gets absorbed by grants you a buff or debuff or some form of regen. Talent: makes x and y switch places with each other. Talent: x based attacks are now also absorbed. " There's a difference between "similar mechanic" and identical (except the changed a few numbers). This is straight out lazy.
