Ha! Stop it?!??! STOP IT?!?!?!?!? I plan to contract it and spread the virus until the dried blood of my victims hardens into a special green and black crystal I've been wanting to get for MONTHS!!! -laughs crazily-

There have been dozens of threads in the suggestion box about getting that crystal through the Rak event - people complaining because they COULDN'T!! I got ONE of those crystals on my trooper and that was all I had time for - I hope they release the same armor from that event so I can get my hands on the belt I don't have If you want to get something that's been released but that you'd missed you're damned right you want them to release the same stuff again

people don't WANT new - they wanted this event to GET their hands on that crystal! If you want new go buy some cartel packs

I'm not spreading false information - the story, rewards and set up is based on the original Tatooine rak event and from what the guys on Hater and Dulfy have found it could be on Tatooine again the next go-round

From what the data miners have found not only is this event going to end up like the bounty hunter event but it's going to be on one of three random planets - Corellia, Tatooine or Alderaan. We got Alderaan this time but it might happen on any of those three the next time it happens

Might be off by a hair or it might be your monitor - my Trooper has my rak crystal from last year (and her pet red rak - Mr. Squee) and her companion Elara has the Razer crystal and they look the same to me... Either way though, the Rak crystal is WAY better than the Razer crystal and I am VERY glad we get another shot at it For a lot of people it IS new - more importantly there's a lot of armor and weapons that ARE new. Not to mention the fact that people have been petitioning/begging/SCREAMING for another shot at the black/green crystal through this event. Hell, people have been crazier about this event more than any of the others BECAUSE of that crystal

The last one was on Tatooine and according to data mining the next time this thing spawns it'll either be on Corellia, Tatooine or Alderaan again

This is a re-release of an event from last year - the big 'no one else has' crystal WAS the black-green crystal. People are playing this event to GET the black green crystal they DIDN'T get last year In fact the ONLY other way to GET a black/green crystal was to buy TOR gear from Razer - and while those crystals had the same COLOR they didn't have the same benefits or collection totals that these crystals have

I ran into the same problem with WoW that I had with EvE and Galaxies - I felt no investment in my characters. It felt so meaningless going from place to place grinding... stuff to get better stuff. I realize that that is the very PURPOSE of an MMO but I don't seem to notice it here... or maybe I actually WANT what it is I'm grinding for! In TOR I have over EIGHT alts I want to experience every different quest and every different story and every different playstyle - I usually manage to hit lvl 55 BEFORE I get to Makeb just by TRYING everything with my INSATIABLE curiosity and incredible desire to just see EVERYTHING only one other game has come close and that was Star Trek Online - but even then it's only three alts across three different factions. I feel no desire to spread myself out across one of every class/species/spec like I do here... there's something special about this game This is the ONLY game where I have actually ENJOYED the straight-forward crafting system. This is the only game where I've actively joined a guild despite my limited time - when I am on I regularly try to help my fellow guildies and I donate to the guild bank ALL THE TIME. Here I care because this game makes me want to care - this community makes me want to care... well, some of it anyway - a lot of the community on this forum makes me sick and the whining in the cbox in the game... ugh... but there ARE good people here and this is a good game, so I'll stick here As for f2p = failure it seems to me that almost every MMO save WoW has failed then because just about everyone is f2p now - hell, at least three mmo's in production that I know of are going to be marketed as f2p and there are even rumors that TES will launch f2p at start. The market isn't there to support subscription alone anymore - f2p and cash stores are where the money is now. People don't count their pennies so much when they want awesome armor/mounts/weapons but they sure count when content has been dry and that bill for 15 bucks a month shows up

-snort- if I was making a game I sure as hell wouldn't listen to THIS community if you want an ear on what the video game community is saying/thinking go into the game and read the chat box THAT is the community - this place is a hive of scum and villainy

Everything has it's time - everything ends. Games like WoW, LOTRO, DCUO, STO and TOR are special in that they have a certain 'series' that they focus on that will keep them going LONGER... but eventually, they too shall crumble to DUST All the more reason to play the game while you can and stop whining in the forums

When this game first started, the one thing I was sad about was that we wouldn't have any hilts that resembled the one's from the movie - but upon being gifted with the hilt that looks like Obi-Wan's ANH/ROTS hilt in three of the force-user classes upon starting As well as his TPM hilt from the cartel market I thought it'd be fun for us to list what hilt styles we'd like to see added http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20071030225521/starwars/images/8/85/DookuSaber-MR.jpg That one for instance ^^ is the hilt I'd KILL to have - granted, there's on LIKE it with a cool techie forked top but a dooku-esq hilt would be right up the path of just about every one of my Sith AND my Jedi. Another cool hilt I think would be the well known Anakin/Luke hilt from ROTS, ANH and ESB and of course Vader's various styles from the original trilogy Yes, I know, these hilts shouldn't exist yet but we've already got a obi-wan apprentice look-alike hilt in game - I'm not saying these hilts have to be SPOT-ON but it'd still be pretty cool to have some that look more like their movie counterparts

-shrug- I got to play it before all the newbs who are about to come in - I don't CARE that they got it later with extra cartel-coiny goodness I can make almost twice that just by being subscribed for two months. I paid nine dollars... yes, NINE dollars oh goodness! Bioware EXTORTED nine bucks from my savings fund -wallows- the horror... THE HORROR!!! I have a sister in the hospital and live on a TIGHT budget... still, with all that, I felt that Bioware and TOR deserved nine fricken bucks DCUO and LOTRO offer 'expansion packs if you buy subscription' deals all the time! Why should we slap Bioware down because they're endorsing a good marketing scheme?

Why the heck would you need a tutorial? From level 1 to 20 you're basically led by the hand! If you REALLY can't pick up how to play with the quests and sub-quests then that's what the fan guides are for The whole game is INCREDIBLY intuitive and straight-forward... not to mention the big 'Tutorials' button on the game menu!

I'll show respect when it's earned - outside of his obnoxious posts and threads on this forum I've never heard of him, and I've played a fair whack of MMO's myself... I'm no 'gaming ninja god' but I have been around, and - again - outside of this forum... nope, never heard of this guy DULFY, on the other hand, I've heard of her... not just here, but in other games. She helps people, she posts content and guides... she EARNED my respect, this doink seems content to simply TELL me I should respect him and that don't go over well in my book

-blinks- how are bots going to make them 'tough' to kill? Sounds like they've got stim or health packs or they know how to use their shields/boosts properly And yeah, PVP is rife with ganking - you're asking for trouble playing on a pvp server anywhere if you aren't good at pvp
