Not quite sure what 'new, dynamic content' means but I'm STILL addicted to this game - probably always will be. I just... ya know... can't play

I can't even get it to START patching. It 308's right from the start.

Interestingly another error I'm getting after I close the launcher but don't exit it from task manager is Internal Error - ABORT: Pointer is NULL (.shared\hashtbl.c/128) and so far NONE of the fixes (from reinstalling to turning off firewalls to bending over backwards and singing mahna-mahna) seem to have done me any good. I did waste the two hours I intended to run the Relics of the Gree Event dicking with the launcher - not exactly the 'gaming' I expected but it was probably easier than getting people to group

The best part - in my opinion - is that she's beautiful without being ****ty. In a male-dominated genre filled with testosterone-induced armor it's always awesome to find female characters that are just beautiful

I don't mind him making all the changes - say what you will, ANH, ESB and ROTJ (for the most part) look AWESOME with updated graphics and proper texturing. I just enjoy the irony... how we change as we grow and how our artistry adapts to the world around us You need a program like fraps (that's what I use) to take pictures during conversations. Then you edit them in something like windows paint to remove the parts that mess up the picture

The droideka customization wouldn't work with this time period - but there are a lot of droids in the game that use his same basic model rigging. It'd be cool if we could customize him to look like them. As for the cable-pull, I've found that helpful if I'm playing a tank - means I don't have to drag people over to me lol - but if I'm playing a healer or a DPS it's a pain because they're right on top of both of us before I can even get off a boost

Neither would I - now - but when they first came out there were some very real issues; issues that were ignored from the Patch server. Now everything has mostly been balanced out - though the gunships are still a bit OP if you don't know how to fight against them

I've got eight alts - one of each class - four guys and four girls. After I finish maxing them I plan to play female versions of my male characters and male versions of my female characters as well as light side versions of my dark side characters and dark side versions of my light side characters I am an alt-a-holic People don't really think that 22 character limit as being that bad... but I gotta tell ya, I'll be toe-ing that mark pretty soon ANYWAY - sorry for the ramble Uh, see, I don't understand Chapter 1 being 'lame and a grind' at all - especially not the Imperial Agent or the Jedi Knight stories! You're bringing down a secret plan to destroy the Empire from the inside out as an Imperial Agent - all while the Jedi is tracking down the architect of the Destruction of Coruscant What's not awesome about that? In fact, some of the chapter 1 stories are BETTER than the later chapters - though I'd definitely say the Inquisitor and the Consular stories are definitely better in the later game, they really are the only one's I can think of that are more ho-hum in earlier chatpers

God I forgot how crappy the KOTOR 1 graphics are lol sorry, that's spam - actually (apart from the big ring in the middle) the 'new' Revan outfit isn't THAT different from his original Sith gear Though I gotta say, it's definitely not EXACTLY the same... maybe they could make two versions - Starforge Dark robes and Starforge Light robes so we could have the 'good Revan' gear too

Considering the HUGE balance issues we had when the Bomber first came out (never mind the issues we still have with Gunships) I'm kind of glad they've held off on the infiltrator - no offense but any additional time sitting in the development tank can only be a good thing. Further, they're getting us Strongholds with more bugs fixed and additional features - AND the second mega expansion out sooner. We don't get a new ship as soon as they SPECULATED we would... total abandonment there -nod-

Think of it like Star Trek Online and the NuTrek movies - those two things have absolutely NOTHING to do with each other yet there have been ships and sets and gear in the game that closely (re VERY closely) resemble stuff from the new movie. Further, every time a NuTrek movie has come out their subs have gone up I rather expect that this game will be what they said it would be - the last project based in the former EU. It'll run as long as it makes money

I don't think the fleet is horrible - but I do think the quest-givers could be better organized. Took me WAY longer than it should have to find the link to the Belsavis bonus series on my Sith Sorc alt lol

The problem with a bounty hunting system - any bounty hunting system - are the holes in it. SWG isn't the only game that had/has such a system - EVE and a few others do as well. The biggest problem is that a lot of really rich players will slap bounties on other players just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Suddenly some poor n00b is bombarded by pvper's trying to grief him/her to death for an impossibly high number of credits! If you want to 'smuggle' or 'bounty hunt' there are a load of story lines in the game with which to do that - not to mention the various crafting missions like underworld trading and treasure hunting which contain several instances of bounty hunting and smuggling already

I'm not really concerned what's canon and what isn't - I wasn't even that concerned when NuTrek spun off into it's own universe and the Old Series, TNG, VOY and DS9 were left to rot quietly in the wings. What concerns me is that this is it - this is the end of these characters. Back up for a second - stop obsessing over which category a story is (Legends or Regions or Circles or Squares or whatever) under and think about what's been said so far. There's not going to be anymore stories about these characters - this game; this MMO they're producing... this may very well be the LAST of the stories based around the Old Republic. Since this era has been tossed into the Legends bin along with the Legacies era and the Vong era and everything else; and because the Legends re-branding states that there will only be NEW stories about the NEW 'modern era' of Star Wars... then that means that there won't be any more stories, comics, novels... NOTHING about characters within the Legends branding There won't be any more stories about Grand Admiral Thrawn. There won't be any more stories about Mara Jade. There won't be any more stories about Kyle Katarn. Marka Ragnos, Revan, Visas, Mandalore the Ultimate, Ben Skywalker, Ludo Kresh, Nomi Sunrider - that's all done now. New era - new rules. The old has been discarded forever and won't be continued. We'll never find out what rounds up Luke and Ben's hunt for the Mortis monolith. We'll never read about Jania's first child - or how her future with Fel turns out. We'll never get to see Jacen's daughter take the throne of Hapes and usher in this supposed era of peace they kept talking about. We'll never see a new Old Republic comic series that continues from where the last one finished off - these stories, these characters - they're finished now. All that mattered - everything that was going to lead to new stories - has been branded as a 'legend' and will go no further. That concerns me, that bothers me. I'm sorry that I actually read as someone said on a tweet 'who the hell READS anymore?!' - I'm afraid I'm one of those people... I'm one of those people who enjoyed all those characters and all those stories and wanted to see where the writers would go with them. But then I wanted to see a new Star Trek series - cameos from the past characters handing over to the new like Kirk and his crew got to hand over to Picard... now all those characters, all those stories... they're just finished. They're just done. You can read the books if you want to - but the books are coming fewer and fewer now that the interest is primarily focused on Nutrek; and there's SO LITTLE set in my favorite era - the Original Movie era with the older TOS crew... and less and less will come as Nutrek continues. I wanted an ending to those stories - to those characters. Now they're just shelved... soon there won't even be the books to enjoy. This new 'modern era' of star wars has ended every character and story that I'd come to know and love - and the new movies aren't even out yet. And unlike Star Trek, there won't even be any books or comics to enjoy about the original EU stuff - it's just... done. I'm a semi-solo player... not by choice though. I work eight hours every night - during peak activity times - and I have crappy internet with a 10 gig limit that usually runs out by the 20th of every month I help my guild - props to my slacker and blackwatch peeps who put up with me - through donations of at least 10 % of my profits from my biochem and cybertech sales when I get a big profit and when I'm leveling an alt and make lots of credits (which happens a lot on the earlier planets lol because of how many alts I have and how I don't have to buy as many things as I can just send what I need to... uh... myself) I drop chunks of that into the guild bank. When a guildee is on a planet I try to help out - one time I was running on Belsavis with my Bounty Hunter (Thelemachus - tank) and one of my guildees was trying to grind a bounty hunter exclusive bonus mission on some high-level enemies but was too low level. I offered him/her a hand and - funnily enough - almost six or seven MORE bounty hunters from various play places showed up and I hung out with them helping them grind the too-high enemies and get the bonus mission done It was fun ^^ That said, most of the time I'm a solo player - it's just all I can do when I get my three or four hours of play time before work or assorted RL duties... and even though a lot of people hate it, this is a good game to play casually - the community is a LOT more tolerant of in-and-out players than most out there (WoW and RIFT spring to mind... old wounds <<) and as much as I hate to admit it, when I get to play I'm usually so jazzed to just get a chance I forget to pay attention to my guild-chat window until people have already left ^^;

There's been pictures of artwork with Bothans in it - and Bothawui was the site of a HUGE-*** battle between Republic and Sith forces during the Great Galactic War (the war from before the current war) with some 50,000 Sith forces taking on some few 84 Jedi and 5000 Republic Troops but we've not actually SEEN a Bothan Maybe Bothans will be the base for a new race to play
