  1. It's not much, but you can turn on your lfg and do a /who social check of the zone, and itll mark purple people next to those also lfg. It's not much better than asking in zone who'd like to group, but it's there.
  2. Malstare- in real life, we call out targets. Are you suggesting I need a third party program voice interface so we can target call? It's sloppy mechanics. *edit* also- it didn't come with WoW- it came with original everquest. %t macros anyone? To the one who asked why target of target- another point is for healers who aren't DPSing yard trash. Heals aren't required much for yard trash, so you DPS through tank. However, on elites and bosses, healers (depending on class) also have nifty stun abilities. As a sage, I can "interupt" an ugly ability, and prevent him from using it again for a few seconds, or I can force stun him for a couple seconds when he's about to cast a real deargodIneedtocastuberhealnow nasty. The rest of the time I'm cycling through the group keeping shields up, and checking their aggro targets (dps got sudden aggro, I pop stun, tank gets aggro back).
  3. Apparently, even though it was blocked in WoW, it isn't here. You can post an auction with your alt in the cross server GTN for an extortionate amount, and buy it with your cross faction main. Someone mentioned it in fleet on my server the other day, and swore they personally had tried it. I haven't. (YET) )
  4. Further down the post, it says it was a bug under server load allowing the safe bases to be invaded- aren't all the big pop servers empire heavy?
  5. Maybe a server with a total population of 12? 7 were republic, causing an ugly, game crashing, lagfest zerg while farming the opposition? Oh wait, that was empire:)
  6. Rift was horrifying for months, much much worse.
  7. Whew, glad to hear it. Yes, I was able to do the workaround stacking it into my inventory then restacking into bank, but that was annoying. Life is easier. Yay:)
  8. If I group with you, I promise to be out of force to heal you with, because I wasted force healing myself. Why? Because you had a problem with me bio harvesting resources I use to make the blue protos I use to heal self instead- saving force to be used on tanks, or the dps who caught the hate, or patrol that wandered by. I have no problem with scavengers or slicers either. Slicers get a nice CC against the droids, and the scavengers are sometime using grenades they made. Letting them make back a few of the mats they burned to help the group isn't too much to ask:P
  9. Yep, but sooner or later it has to come back on. They also had it on while being a jerk. Before we joined our guild, we had to turn on the legacy name. It's something people will ask, and as we don't have cross server flashpoints, it's word that will get around.
  10. I'll vote for mods if they can give me a 3rd row at the bottom of the screen, instead of along the sides where they get covered up in PvP matches etc.
  11. Seriously. I was getting ninja'd last night by someone. Normally, I let it go if it's once, since it could be seen as a rush for the quest/crafting "node". However, this was repeated, along with waiting until I got to a mob, they'd tag it, and hope I'd kill it for them (hell no, I passive'd out). I'm not complaining; my rule is simply to add them to ignore and move to another quest. Honestly, I thought the first person on my ignore list would be a gold/credit/iskies love-you-long-time spammer. At the very least, a ******* who rolls on RP servers just to flame RPers. This special person had their legacy name on. Some games allow entire accounts to be ignored, but most on an alt by alt basis. With legacy, I know who to avoid over several characters, especially in the later game:)

    Im Confused

Very funny. Nooooo. There was this thing called the "NGE" in which they dumbed down combat. They also removed an entire player class (Creature Handler) after advertising that in the expansion it would be buffed. Players don't like being lied to, and SoE had to refund the money people spent on the expansion based on false advertising. They also dumbed down crafting to make it easier for casuals. They also added raid drops:P NGE entered the meme internet lexicon for "internet MMO disaster", and "game killer". " Dev, DUDE, you're about to have an NGE moment- don't do it!!" " A fail of NGE proportions!!"
  13. I got my t2 purple quite quickly by REing the T1 purple. That's how the dropped schematics work (I think you missed that part of what he was saying )
  14. As a biochem, I have proposed the same thing as the OP. You see, less than Rekata, blue protos are more powerful heals than purple ones. Once they fix rekatas to fall in line with that practice, it won't be an issue. My blue protos don't sell for more than mat cost on my server, so I don't sell them anyway. After all, basic medpacks drop as loot, so people don't need to buy many. People will be happy to have a purple they can reuse while hunting, with blue protos for grouping. Adrenals sell occasionally for me, but not often. I actually price my adrenals based on what I could get for the mats, which makes them expensive. Most my cash has come from implants. I do believe that all the BoP items should be BoE, to help crafters. *Adrenals are what most people are complaining about* If we can craft them with charges, everyone will use them, as they'd be economic. Or make them unusable in PvP, whatever. The obvious fix isn't to have lots of biochem alts, but lots of bioanalysis alts, and get your guild bio-crafter to hit combine for you in exchange for extra mats:)
  15. Not everyone is a raider. Others will want to have other skills just to get the raiding schematics. Just to prove the other skills can make money, I've parked a level 9 trooper next to the GTN. She's made it to level 100 so far and has more cash than she started with. She buys everything needed to craft off the GTN. I didn't start her off with any seed money either- just the cash she made before getting Aric. Desh- 5credits each. Silica- 10credits. (cost) lvl 2 armor sells for 45credits to the vendor. lvl 3 sells for 60 credits. etc (mods sell for a loss, armor for profit to a vendor). She made enough from this to buy all the schematics up to this point. Now to log back in and send Aric out on another underworld mission, and set my Sith Inquisitor up as a synthweaver. It'll be real interesting to see if any of them ever have to leave the station and level to get some cash.

    Red Goo

I get plenty of red goo from missions, its the stringy looking dendrite one (neural something) that I'm always out of (I'd tell ya what it is, but I have none:P). Maybe it's a light side/dark side thing? I do agree with the above poster who said one always seems gated in each level. It also seems different for different people. So I'm checking in guild to see if anyone else is having the opposite problem.
  17. I'd like to be able to queue missions like we do crafting when offline:) I don't mind the RE grind, but I guess that's because my crafting times are now over 30 min. I'd really like to be able to queue up all that I have mats/inventory space for- that'd be awesome;)

    Im Confused

Because raiders get mad if you tell them they have to be crafters (hence the screaming over biochem), but don't get it when crafters get mad that they have to be raiders:) SWG did it right. Everything had to be made by crafters, even the mostest highest end gear. Awesome raid gear required awesome raid drops, which raiders would either bring to their favorite high end crafter, or sell for extortionate amounts- allowing them to buy up whatever else they wanted for raids.
  19. Or pick up bioanalysis and slicing. Those 3 are money makers together for someone who prefers not to craft. Bioanalysis subcombines sell very well. People are offering them for sale for about 5 times what they cost to get through missioning, and there still isn't enough available. You can also crunch down hard beasts for bio stuff the same as you do for breaking down droids. That way you are making money no matter what type of mobs you end up fighting.
  20. If it's for a gathering skill- welp, I don't pay more than 1k for any dilpo mission, but am willing to pay up to 2k for a bioanalysis mission. Other servers have other economies. Your best bet is to look at your server's GTN. Mine is a fairly busy server with a near dead GTN, so prices aren't insane yet, they simply aren't available to be bought;)
  21. I went to the GTN to buy gear, because commendations can't fill the gap at all. You can get guardian or force wielder armors. Unfortunately, those are endurance heavy- not much willpower. As a sage, Willpower is what I need, and quest gear doesn't offer nearly enough. I took biochem. Do I really need to level an alt to make synth armor? Then level another alt to be able to make gear for that one as well? Then level an alt to make mods that aren't available otherwise? Right now the only relics available to me are endurance ones form the light vendor. Yeah, that's useful (NOT). If people didn't buy gear/stuff off the GTN, everything I put up would fall off. It doesn't. I've only had one thing fall off in the last 3 weeks, and it was because I had miss-priced it.
  22. 1) Go look at your server's GTN. 2) Pull up a list of crafting components- bioanalysis. 3) If your server is like mine- keep it. We have 3 pages, greens only, and half the stuff isn't available. Good luck finding blue goo, or red goo on my server. Or finding unknown organisms. 4) Decide if you want to craft at all. If you are only keeping 400 biochem to use reusables, then ditch bioanalysis faster than a nerf can be herded. 5) If you want to craft at all, and have no hookup, and no alt to pick it up, then keep it. If you have someone to sell you what you need, or you aren't crafting, ditch it.
  23. Funny, after so many years out, WoW still has many people leveling. We get 8 slots per server, and you think people are going to level 1 character to 50 and stop? Even in Everquest, the leveling grind didn't stop people from making a ton of alts. Seeing as you have a have a ton of alts before you can do all that crafting by yourself, and GTN has a 50 item limit even for hardcore crafters..... TL;DR :There's plenty of market, and the market will always be there. People with alts, and people new to the game need gear/implants/adrenals/ship parts/crystals etc.
