  1. seeing as there are different servers for the US and EU players, it may be possible to set the double xp to work at different times for the different sides of the Atlantic. Of course, I don't know exactly how it all works, so maybe not. Either way, that's not how it is.
  2. also if you're interested in what armour looks like http://tor-fashion.com/ is pretty good.
  3. I've recently returned to the game after stopping a few months after release. Been concentrating on my main, but really itching to get some alts done. Rolled a Trooper yesterday, and quite interested in a regular team. Would be happy to go Imperial if needs be, the only class I've really played is Smuggler (and Trooper in Beta, so it's a bit familiar but not much) so anything but that would be fine.
  4. a droid class of some kind might be interesting if BioWEAr ever decided to introduce a buff/debuff class. a load of tech abilities for teams like energy shields, disrupting enemies targeting, etc. might be quick poor at soloing though, unless they went with a battle droid type, but I'm thinking more along the lines of an Astromech or Protocol droid (probably with the alternate as their first companion)
  5. thanks for the heads up, but as I'll probably stick with the one server for now that shouldn't be a problem.
  6. Imp side, if you're not Pureblood or human they make mention of you being okay for a lesser species, and things like that. Likewise I think my human Sith-y man in the beta was expected to do better because of his race. Space bigots. I imagine there are a few differences Rep side, though probably less stark.
  7. it's cool that you're so eager to get free stuff that you've not read the thread, but thanks anyway
  8. Nautolan or Mon Cal would be cool.
  9. thanks for the feedback folks! I'm no PVPer, but would like to try Raids if I get into a Guild or whatever. So I'll keep that in mind for the future. I definitely wasn't going to spend money (or CC) on the XP boosts. Got a few as Q rewards already, and as I said, opened a few Cartel packs so have a supply of them already. Also already got a few inventory unlocks. Got one extra cargo hold page and think my bag is up to 70 slots, acc wide. Rocket boots I can see being sort of useful. But Fleet Pass? I'm maybe being stupid, but most of the time I just jump in my ship.
  10. thanks, yeah, I am subscribed. good to know I can avoid trying to understand Augments for another few levels. What Legacy Perks and Unlocks would people recommend? I've had a look and not sure there's much that seems important or useful to me, but I may be missing something. When I get around to alting, I may unlock a new race (Cathar seems like it could be fun) and I have considered Treek.
  11. So I pre-ordered my Collectors Edition, got Beta and Early Access, then the game launched and I stopped playing after a couple of months. Stayed subbed "just in case" and did come back for one weekend or something, but my toon was stuck on a class quest that I just wasn't good enough to do yet. Back into limbo for a while. Galactic Starfighter had my interest, so I came back last weekend. Playing throughout the week, I've finally gotten off Hoth, and my Smuggler is now a comfy level 45. I was by no means an expert when I left, but over the 18months or so since I played properly, a whole lot has changed and been added to the game, and I'm in a weird situation where I know a lot of the basics, but then I get into any real discussion and am totally lost. Terminology that most experienced players seem fine with is well over my head. I think I understand the Collections thing, and the Cartel Market was pretty easy to get to grips with, even if I'm not particularly happy with the Cartel Pack idea. Achievements make sense, I'm just sad that all the stuff I did previously doesn't count. Are these account, or Legacy wide? I've not levelled any alts yet, but am planning on doing so, so if I can catch up on most of them I won't mind too much. I really like the change of Planetary Commendations being one generic currency, rather than specific to the vendors for each planet. I had no idea what I was going to do with those Ord Mantel ones. Biggest thing I'm struggling with right now is gear. It used to be a right pain keeping stuff up to date, or getting Orange items, now they're all over the place. Heck, I got 4 sets of Adaptive Gear sent to me for Galactic Starfighter for nothing. Would I be right in thinking I'm probably best to stick with the Adaptive oranges for the most part whilst I'm levelling up, and just using Planetary Comms to keep me in mods? Then there's Augments. I've tried to read up on that and have no idea. Is this something I should even worry about pre-50? I enjoy Flashpoints and was looking forward to doing some Ops, but again, see that they're lvl50+ so no worries there. Have unlocked some Legacy perks and bought some Cartel Packs (and sold most of the stuff off on GTN for plenty of dosh) but are there any big recommendations for how to spend my Cartel Coins?
  12. this is what the game will be like if SOPA and PIPA and Pippa Middleton on a sofa passes!
  13. I stood at a taxi droid begging for a few minutes whilst I went and did something else IRL. Does that count?
  14. anyone naming themselves Handsolo is either very funny, or incredibly, inadvertently accurate.
  15. done a little Darkside. The "True" Republic quest on Coruscant, because the guy offered me more credits to hand over false documents. I still got paid. Corso was mightly unhappy giving his customary -1 though. I sometimes choose what appear to be mildly ******** comments and end up being a right ***** though. It's a tad annoying. I want to be a bit of a rogue, not a complete ****. I am, if ever the option presents itself, choosing the "Flirt" conversations though. Gonna need to get my arse into space and do some more of those space combat missions though. Not for any real reason other than I feel I should, as a Smuggler.
  16. @Craggy on Union (play Monarcher, Laird Destro, King Spider and Prom Queen mostly) playing on Trask Ulgo, and only have 1 class I haven't yet reserved a name for an alt on there. Levelling my Smuggler right now, Venture. Up for a bit of RP if people want, and always enjoy a bit of teaming.
  17. a more user friendly UI would be nice, I agree. I was looking for crafting material for something, but for the life of me could not figure out what category it was from.
  18. never mind your Big Beautiful Yavins! The Star Wars fiction, and the KOTOR games themselves even, have depicted lost technology being rediscovered long after its existence has been forgotten nearly completely. (Star Forge, wifi, etc) and so I'm not too put off by ancient Jedi from before lightsabers were invented being depicted as having lightsabers in an artistic and reverential tone in the museum/temple/gift shop on a planet that exists out-with the canon of fiction that made up the arbitrary date for the invention of lightsabers, in the fictional universe of Star Wars.
  19. "There is no death, only the force. And the force says you gotta die Imperial scum!" -some random 13-year old Jedi player, last Tuesday.
  20. goodness! I thought you meant you were 19meters tall. then I realised that would be silly. no-one that tall could post on these forums unless they were a robot.
  21. 27. male. 5 foot 10-11 depending on mood. waist is 30-32 inches, depending on dinner. i have no idea what i weigh, but it's not that much, unless my mass has increased greatly without my dimensions doing so. i do have a wee bit of a tummy now, but i reckon that's because i'm getting near 30. i'm sure it in no way has anything to do with my diet being heavy on junk food/fast food and alcohol with little exercise.
  22. they didn't know when you were going to pre-order, or how many other people were, or how many the servers would be able to handle per day. the only way you can't get up to 5 days early access is if you only buy the game/register any interest at launch or later. although I think some people might have a point that after today there is no possible way for them to give you a full 5 days of early access, so it really should read "up to 4 days early access" and then "up to 3 days early access" and so on.
  23. ADVERTISING WITCH! Anyway, yes, they are guilty of false advertising. They said you "may get up to 5 days of early access" but some people got 7 days. 7 is not "up to 5" those LIARS! CHARLATANS! STONE ROSES! ...wait, my rant went a bit tangential. Suffice to say: Whine!
  24. off to go pick mine up at my local Game shop
