  1. This thread has inspired me.

I just ordered pizza for myself and had two more deliveries sent to both my neighbor's houses. I will now buy a 24 pack from the Cartel Market and proceed to delete the entire contents without ever opening them. Will YouTube it and post it up.

Look for the video, "I lul @ poor people" soon.

  2. You could take it a step further and have them take part in the animations.

Instead of your standard 4 second stun for whatever AC is in question, imagine your Ruddyscale Monkey taking a flying leap at your attackers face for 4 seconds. Or your Mini-Droid going balls to the walls full auto for 4 seconds on your target's groin.

  3. These need to be adjusted.

    Seriously.

Transporting to your ship is on a 24 hour cool down? Fleet pass can be purchased down to 6 hours? Same goes for home world? Come on. The only, and I mean ONLY, legitimate excuse for the ridiculously long CD's on these abilities is you want us to spend more time hoofing it than actually playing.

I understand the need for "time sinks" in the leveling process. Travel time is the easiest time sink there is. I get that. I do. BUT COME ON! Would it REALLY kill SWTOR to get these Travel Timers down to reasonable levels? Like somewhere in the neighborhood of an hour or two hours at tops? There's really no reason to have these with such insane lockouts.

24 hours to Quick Travel to my ship?

You've gotta be kidding me here.

  4. However, as uncomfortable as they are, they are there to deflect blaster fire and keep lightsabers at bay.

I'm not trying to be argumentative but I can't actually remember the last time my LS "deflected" anything other than lowbie mobs. In fact I'm pretty sure that's never actually ever happened.

  5. It looks as though Crushing Darkness will still be the priority with Wrath. From what I'm reading of those who have been testing different specs on the PTS, lightning strike is still a DPS loss. Because of the increased cost, it also makes you force negative. It might be worth using to keep focal lightning up or while on the move as shock used to be, but I don't see it being a regular part of the rotation. Unless, of course, the info I've been reading is wrong.

1.) LS is being hailed unilaterally by actual testers (i.e. posters dropping actual parses) as a perfectly viable if not preferable use of Wrath.

2.) The increased cost and this fear of being "Force Negative" is simple paranoia. People, like the above poster are forgetting, or more likely simply ignorant of, one of the two changes to the core game mechanics that 2.0 is heralding:

A.) Shield now applies to force & tech attacks (this is HUGE) and more to the point...

B.) Alacrity now directly affects resource regen on a 1:1 % ratio.

So the people crying about being "Force Negative" can calm down. These changes, as well as soft cap revamps, are going to change itemization as we currently understand it. There's a lot of exploration to do and Sorc/Sages are in a far better position now then they have been in a long time.

What players SHOULD be thinking about is the actual need for Sorc/Sage to start stacking accuracy.

  6. I'm sure this has been mentioned before but I'm gonna bring it up again.

Having a light saber as a Sorc/Sage borders insulting. I don't presume to speak for everyone but my IMPRESSION is that many others may agree with me on this. Can we either:

A.) Get our lightsaber's somehow integrated into current attack animations so it doesn't just sit there like a useless stat stick or...

B.) Have a toggle option to remove the lightsaber graphic from our avatar.

I'm assuming B would be the easiest option since only a grand total of like two Sorc/Sage abilities actually use the lightsaber in it's animation and the majority of players don't even have these on their hot bars past level 20. I'm sure most players would prefer option A but if given the choice between option B or nothing... I choose option B.

    Thanks for your time.

  7. I guess neither of you read at the bottom where that guy said "LIVE" not "PTS"

I guess you missed that part where I said, "Just throwing that out there." Which is weird since the post in question is exactly two (2) sentences long and that was one of those two (2) sentences. Ultimately the thread is about the current PTS build. Discussing current DPS comparisons without considering PTS trends is--what's the word?--oh yes, naive.

Actually I'm seeing most DPS classes around 2400+ on PTS (on ship dummy that is (level 50), not 55 fleet dummy). Meaning we're seeing some pretty decent balance of DPS classes for a change.

No, I'm talking about fleet dummy. Well I should say thats what THEY are saying. I personally don't have ship dummy unlocked on PTS. It's unlocked on live but not on PTS. I'm guessing that's how it is for most testers.

  8. ... your complaint is useless.

    And your logic is retarded.

There is obviously going to be a disconnect between reality and fiction based on reality. People understand this. That's how science fiction and fantasy are understood by normal human beings without learning disabilities. They associate the "fictional" device with relative reality and they "get it".

Unless the pommel of a knife has a shape charge built into it designed to detonate on impact... me smashing you in the face with the butt of a knife and stabbing you in the face with the same knife illicit two completely different mental and logical images. Likewise me stabbing you in the throat with a laser sword and kicking you in the head with the heel of my boot bring to mind two completely different images.

Using the "it's an mmo and this isn't real" excuse just makes the situation even lamer. Because this IS an MMO and this ISN'T real which means the developers have only the limits of their IMAGINATIONS and they chose to go with me popping you in the nose with the butt end of my laser sword doing more damage than stabbing you in the **** with the pointy end.

  9. A "competent" story is any piece of writing with proper punctuation and grammatical syntax. Green Eggs And Ham is a competent story. Teletubbies have competent writers. Which is where I suspect BioWare dug up the writer(s) of the consular arc.

A previous poster, whom doesn't merit direct quotation, mentioned how saving these masters was not an act "required" of a Jedi and thus makes logical sense in the story. Any GOOD writer would have reserved the Jedi Master title for a player who at least saved 1/2 of the masters and rewarded the ridiculously named "über" title for those players who managed to save all of the masters. Instead they hand these things out like candy. There's no sense of deserved accomplishment.

I mock the order, murder it's most prominent servants, bring about the deaths of hundreds of masters and deliberately disrespect not only the council but every person in my path at every given opportunity and am subsequently granted the highest honors the order has to offer.

THAT, by definition, is bad writing.

How any individual with an IQ greater than that of a turnip could defend that kind of story telling is beyond any level of understanding I possess.

  10. Couple nights ago I finished Chapter I with my buddy in tow on TS. He watched as I planted my saber square into my master's face. He said, I kid you not. "HOW ARE YOU STILL A JEDI?!?"

To that, I had no answer.

By the the time I was 32ish I had already personally killed 6 Jedi Masters, my own master included, and was directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds more (that's plural) throughout the galaxy. I get back to Tython expecting some kind of reprisal... Hell at the very least a stern talking to. What do I get?

    I GET PROMOTED.

So let me get this straight... I kill more Jedi leadership than all the Imperial classes COMBINED and I get a promotion? Not just any promotion either. Apparently I'm the second coming of the great Jedi Jesus because they gimme a special title and then put me in charge of a bunch of whiney diplomats who I can't wait to kill.

Whoever wrote this story is a moron. It's so bad it's hysterical.

  11. Once again (for anyone who is actually interested in something other than their own ego)

Here is a vid featuring a Commando (Zachariah) doing exactly what I talked about. I am on the other team (Phaser). Both of us broke 600k damage; blowing everyone else out of the water including 2+ Marauders. Notice also the only times Zachariah died were when I killed him.

    Irony ^

    Gotta love it.

  12. So, first time through playing a BH. Got to this point, it took me a moment to figure out what to do but it was pretty obvious. The BUG I encountered however was as soon as I clicked the ramjet item I was teleported up to the Engineer and his two bots and they instantly died but not before bombarding me with an array of god like damage.

I truly believe if I hadn't been 2 levels above the recommended level I would have been instagibbed.

  13. /raiseshand

I refused to be a Mandalorian and Mandalore had a fit. So, to those of you who have played both versions (or seen both versions) is there any difference in the story? Like the ending or anything? Just curious. I still wouldn't change my decision if given the chance.

Please remember to use spoiler tags if you're going to post any juicy info.

    Thanks!

  14. The credit reward from [Heroic] Space Combat missions has been reduced from 12,500 to 1,616.

Now, I'm not questioning the logic and/or reasoning behind the change. What I would like to know is...

Where do you get that number from? lol seriously? Do you guys just roll some dice and be all like, "Yeah ok, 1616 sounds good."

That's a *VERY* specific number. Why not 1500? Or 2k? Why 1616? Is this code? Can this somehow be extrapolated to be the release date for the new expansion? IS THIS THE NEW MAYAN APOCOLYPSE?!?

  15. I came back from an 8 month hiatus and was curious if Treasure Hunting or Underworld Trading yields any form of profitability?

On my main I have Slicing, Treasure Hunting and Underworld Trading leveled to cap and for the life of me I can't remember why I did that lol. None of my alts are crafters. They all have Biochem. Anyway, thanks for your time. I appreciate any answers I can get.

    Cheers!
