  1. I'm very happy that your server is so well populated. Here is a picture of mine approaching primetime. Pop at the time the screenshot was taken was 10 in the fleet. Average at primetime is around 20, average the rest of the day is 2-10. http://i1155.photobucket.com/albums/p544/PiratePenguin/SWTOR/defenestrator_low_pop.jpg My server, and others like it, need help in the way of transfers or mergers soon.
  2. This is how my server is, although normally there are only between 4-10 level 50s online and even less people in fleet than your old server. Bioware has to know, I just don't think they've decided what to do about it yet.
  3. People quoting populations for low pop servers typically only use the fleet as an example to relate to. For example, most nights on my server there are between 12 and 25 people in fleet and only around 225 players over all other planets, warzones, and flashpoints.
  4. Yes that would probably be a better idea. It would also alleviate a lot of the concerns over character and guild names (so if your name is taken on one server, choose to transfer to a different one).
  5. Some servers are dead or dieing, and some are doing just fine and growing. Please merge the low pop servers.
  6. Well said! Those of us on the low population servers that want to be moved keep getting buried in 'this game is failing' nonsense which is not the point we are trying to make. Our servers are just super low and need to be merged.
  7. If you are arguing over the 'the game is failing' issue then I agree, one or two servers can be a statistical anomaly that does not impact the overall growth or decline of the game. People play more during the holidays, I get it. If you are accusing me (and others) on the unpopulated realms of making things up, then you are burying your head in the sand and no amount of 'documentation' is going to convince you. I've already posted screenshots and census numbers and told everyone my server name and the times I log on. I am not going to hire a team of scientists to prove it to you. Do you honestly think it's healthy to have these servers with slightly over 200 people (total, their faction) online with 12-20 people in the fleet during primetime?
  8. Check again. Server name is 'The Defenestrator' and it is a US East Coast PvE server.
  9. I really enjoy them. They also give a lot of xp and are a good way of making some credits fast if you find yourself short (more for those leveling on new characters than those with 50s who can make credits other ways). Some of them are a bit long, and I'd like the option to be able to warp away early if all my objectives are already complete, but for the most part I think they are fun.
  10. Some of us are not theory crafting! Our servers have an extremely low population and need to be merged. I don't care about that tor status web site that everyone keeps posting, I just care that my server has 10-20 people in the fleet and around 225 people TOTAL at primetime. It's just not right, and BW should do something about it. (And not just my server, any other server with the same issue) Tonight perhaps I will do some more census results and post them here, along with screenshot evidence if that is what it takes. In the meantime I invite anyone who thinks I am lying about this to log onto the Defenestrator and see for yourself. You don't even need to do one quest, just do a /who and look at the various level ranges (or type 'fleet' if you want to see how many people are there). Republic or Imperial, it doesn't even matter.
  11. It's interesting that you said that because I actually did write a ticket concerning the low pop on my server. The answer I got back was an automated response that said 'We are aware of your concerns regarding the increase in the number of Imperials on your server'. I'm seriously not making that up. They threw my ticket in the 'faction imbalance' bucket without even reading it. As for the thread, people have been creating threads for their servers but the mods are closing them and redirecting people here. I'm not being paranoid and saying they are deleting them, just locking them with a post at the bottom saying 'low population is being discussed on this thread' with a link here, which is probably why you keep seeing this same thread bumped over and over. Edit: BTW thanks for the rational discussion and not just telling me I'm a troll.
  12. It does happen all the time, and that's all I want fixed. I LOVE the game. I've made countless alts (I think I could literally do DK with my eyes closed) who all have varied crew skills and storylines. I really would rather not reroll and relevel every single one of them. I don't know if this was one of the last ones to come online, all I know is that I didn't play very much at all during prelaunch since I was working at the time so when launch day came I looked at the servers, saw 2 hour long queues, and said to myself 'ok I guess I should make a character somewhere else'. At the time all of the servers were at least 'heavy' so it wasn't an issue and honestly, the first few weeks were fine. Somewhere along the line though people started leaving, and once it reached a certain point it has dropped dramatically in the past two weeks. People who are frustrated about not having other people around are either quitting or rerolling which is just exasperating the issue. Last night I began the process of rerolling to a heavy server, but I'm not very happy about it, and I know that if I continue things will only get worse for those left behind. I'm also not trying to be dramatic here because I know it's just a game, but the playing experience for people on these servers really isn't what it should be, and that can't be good for the long term health of the game.
  13. Another commentary on this photo concerning my server is to look at the majority of quests I haven't completed on the right side of the screen, they are mostly heroic and flashpoint related. Truth is it has been extremely difficult for me to find people to do these quests, and typically I just have to dump them all and move on to the next planet.
  14. This is the thing we are trying to bring attention to! Here is the best I can give you at the moment since it's not primetime now (I doubt there are more than 5 people in the fleet at the moment). http://i1155.photobucket.com/albums/p544/PiratePenguin/SWTOR/defenestrator_low_pop.jpg This picture was taken a couple of days ago at 7PM EST on the Defenestrator (which is an east coast server). The only change I made to the picture is I blocked out names of people since they might not want to be on the forums. A number of other people have posted similar pictures. I realize your server is fine and that's GREAT, but some of the servers really are hurting! I'm not trying to make an overall commentary on the health of the game, just on MY server.
  15. Some servers have around 20 people on the fleet during primetime, I don't think it would be a problem to merge those servers with other servers as far as the engine is concerned.
  16. See this is the frustrating thing. There are two separate things that people are discussing in this thread. On one hand you have people who say the game is failing and overall population numbers are dwindling. This makes people mad and defensive, and gets argued about over and over again. On the other you have people, like me, who are on very low populated servers and can't enjoy the 'multiplayer' aspect of the game. People who just want to see our servers get merged so that we have a chance at flashpoints, warzones, operations, and and an active marketplace. Moderators keep closing threads related to those two separate issues and directing them to this thread.
  17. Great! You had more people in fleet than if you added the entire populations of Defenestrator and Crevasse City together and put every single person in the fleet. I'm glad the server population dropping isn't affecting you. I'd like to have the same game experience without rerolling all of my characters and completely abandoning my server.
  18. Yes I am only counting the Defenestrator because it is MY server. I have no problem with other servers being super awesome and fun. My server (and some others like the Courageous and Crevasses City) needs help. If you combined all three of the servers I mentioned you would still have less than half as many people on your server. Does that seem right to you?
  19. I believe you are absolutely correct. Honestly I also think that a lot of people are rerolling away from the low servers to the highest servers as well. I've begun the process myself (at least securing some of my names and such), but I already really miss all of my character's and their accomplishments from my old server.
  20. Unfortunately they will likely lock this thread and tell you to post on the 'Server population is dropping...' thread even though they really aren't related. On one hand you have people saying that the entire game is failing and people are leaving all the servers, on the other hand you have people (like you and me) who are on low population servers that desperately need to be merged together. I don't think the game is failing, I just think too many servers were opened at launch and some have become ghost towns as more and more people migrate to the 'big' servers. Hopefully Bioware is listening, but I don't have too much faith based on the response I got from my customer support ticket. I sent in a ticket about how our server population was dropping drastically and had become very low, and they replied with something like 'We are aware of your concern about the increasing number of Imperials on your server'. I would have been mad if it wasn't so funny.
  21. I guess you win! Unfortunately I don't think you'll like your prize.
  22. It's 9:35PM EST on the Defenestrator. 14 people in the fleet Census: 86 people levels 1-20 52 people levels 21-30 82 people levels 31-49 5 level 50s TOTAL 225 players
  23. Yes, and now I believe they can even find PUG raids across servers. Honestly if we had all of these tools I wouldn't mind so much being on the low server. The market would still be incredibly disappointing, but at least we would be able to consistently do warzones and flashpoints.
  24. Do you know if he was only referring to the faction imbalance, or to the actual overall population issue on some servers?
  25. Also, very early in the agent storyline (like level 2 early) your agent (who has a British accent) is reminded by Keeper that you are undercover and should have the appropriate accent. It's actually very funny how your agent then has sort of an 'american dude' accent as he talks to the Hutta NPCs.
