I dont mean to alarm you but LOTS of people still play wow and many people are going back to it after playing this game. Wow isnt dead, nowhere near it.

If only games had some kind of beta period where these bugs could be found and adressed before the game goes live.....wait..

I often find its the children themselves that automaticly assign age based on a game played. I'm barely on the right side of 40 and i played wow. Let me guess, you're also part of the group that says one faction or another are kids?

I was about to create my own post but you have effectivley covered everything i wanted to say including a link to the ability delay post. As such, thanks for saving me the time. I only hope the people that matter sit up and take note. As for the flamers, nay sayers and fanboys ..simply put ...well i cant say what i really think, dont particulary want to get banned from the forum but i honestly believe the majority of them dont really understand the problem. Infact i'd say alot of them know there is a problem but arent familier enough with the genre or skilled enough AT the genre to understand what " that wierd feeling" is when they play. The ability delay is a very real thing, there is a million page/response post on it on these forums, go have a look. Go back and look for bonus series quests, they should net you a decent amount of xp and the monitary rewards are usualy worth the time too.

If this game was a wow clone the gameplay and engine would be about 20 times better than it is.

This is really going to break the game for me. I love starwars, have for 30 odd years , as of now, it's the only reason im still here. The game is, quite simply..broken. It's broken for all the reasons listed in the OP and then some. The ability delay is what will send me away if its not fixed though. I plan to give the game some time in the hope that these problems are adressed. Hell even if bioware try and fail i'd stick around a little longer knowing that theyre trying to fix it. I don't want to go back to wow , i really dont but as a raider somewhere between casual and hardcore , this isnt going to work for me in its current form.

wow had its problems yes, what it didnt have was a fundamental problem with gameplay. im talking about the ability delay thing again, tyhere is a whole post on it so i wont go into it here. Im a massive starwars fanboy, i LOVE the genre and have for 30 odd years. With that said, right now that is all that's keeping me here. If some of the UI/Delay/basic gameplay issues are not addressed then as much as i hate to say it, ill go back to wow. I play to raid, that's my thing. I understand others do not and thats cool , im no better than them nor the other way around. I just cant see myself raiding here without things being fixed.

What, people new to it all? Nothing wrong with that at all. Plenty of people are new, did you start out knowing it all? Some people are new to computers too, i was the same when eq came out, was a console gamer and my first computer was bought to play EQ on, i had NO idea *** i was doing lol.

Ok stop right there, im going to assume you're new to MMO's. Welcome to the world of mmo's , leave your life at the door. First up, stop moving with your arrow keys, right now. I know it may seem comfortable for you right now but you really arent doing yourself any favors. Use google, type in something like" stwor keybind tutorial" and seriously, as much as it will suck at first, get used to it you'll be playing 100 times better and easier.

Augh this again. You cant just make blanket statements like that. Im 33 years old and actualy one of the younger members of my Empire guild. I think the ones making those comments are the people that are in their early 20's or late teens looking for a way to identify themselves as adults by calling other people kids. It's who i have found it usualy is anyway.

If it isnt an end game orientated game then it would want to become so very quickly. End game is what keeps people playing for the most part. I'm fairly certain they want to keep their player base for as long as possible, there is only so much rerolling one can do. The very simple fact of the matter is that if they want to keep people they need to staert focusing on end game hardcore.

I actualy agree with alot of this. I'm going to give it more of a chance, going to get at least one toon to max and try out a bit of raiding but by the day i find myself thinking more and more about going back to wow just for the actual gameplay. I dont care weather you hate it or not, the gameplay itself is miled ahead. This game feels so awkward , waiting for animations ect. Willing to give it some more time but something needs to change.

Sorry i may be misunderstanding something here but is it a currency conversion thing? Oh wait never mind, the u.s dollar is worth next to nothing now days so it cant be that. That said, i kind of understand how you feel, Our dollar here is usualy on par with if not ahead of the U.S dollar but we pay 15/20% more for games ect. Is it a government tax thing from your government maybe? I'm trying to figure out why it would be more for you.

I have to agree 100% about the health bars thing. The fact that they do not update in real time is quite simply unacceptable. I'd like some mouseover macros , just to make healing a little more err..flowy i guess. I dont 100% need them but they would be nice. What we DO NEED though is for someone at bioware to get onto the HP bars thing, pronto.

I enjoyed the "put icecream in bin" part. My son just had a tanty and did just that to show us how p/od he was. " Now im not gonna have any icecream i'll show you!"
