  1. I like the idea of having this as an option for all of the above reasons discussed so far in this thread, and I would like to add another one. Post 1.2 when we will be able to vote-kick afkers I would really like to see if this person is not contributing to the wz and not just take some random pug's word for it. If said afker has been in the wz the whole time it's as easy as popping up your stats window and seeing nothing but zeroes to confirm that they are not contributing to the wz and should be kicked.
  2. But the problem with this is not everyone is going to EVER be on board to effectively forfeit a match. EVER. Unless you have a full premade. I'm certain you will see this happen when rated wz come into full swing, just as you see the same happen in arena/rated bg in wow. But you will never convince a full pug to quit just because you think it's the best way to micromanage your time. Everyone has their own idea of what wins and losses are, what is challenge worthy and what is simply not worth the effort. In a pug scenario, you owe it to the others that are still trying to win to try your best to help them. It should never be the other way around.
  3. Agreed. The players that subscribe to the "quitter" philosophy do so because they are only willing to put forth minimal effort in the first place. They would rather wait until they end up on a team that carries the game for them. When 1.2 hits I'm going to consider those that huddle up at a turret to farm defender points afkers and will flag them accordingly. If they don't want to contribute to the wz and sit there and whine there is plenty of space on the imperial fleet for such activites.
  4. Calm down, buddy. It's a patch, not an expansion.
  5. Did you or did you not notice that part in the vid where they mention improved character textures?
  6. "Players affected by a Damage Over Time ability are no longer interrupted when interacting with objectives." So if/when this change goes live what would be the ideal point placement since it seems that Retractable Blade is no longer worth the investment? I'm thinking of putting the point back into Oil Slick, since having moved it to get 2/2 Shield Vents after the 1.1.3 surge nerf. Any suggestions?
  7. I used to worry about TM/GR spam on my sniper... Then I took a reroll Powertech to the knee. Seriously though, I find merc and commando 1111111 spammers one of the easiest classes to kill with my PT. Once you're in their face they are almost completely worthless. So by all means, continue "pwning" people. I see guys like you in a wz and I'm all like NOMNOMNOM free kills.
  8. Murderers are criminals. They are all disturbed and evil. Want me to keep going or...
  9. No matter which way people try to spin it, need rolling for a companion without asking if your group minds is a grade A dirtbag thing to do and the people that do it know it as well. Please spare us the "my companion is a part of my character" or "the game lets me do it" excuses. You are all greedy and selfish. Some of you probably don't care what people think of you but keep in mind that regardless of the fact that this is an MMO and your anonymity will remain intact, the way you treat others in game in essence mirrors your real life personality and the way you treat and respect your peers. Say what you will to claim otherwise, but people who are generally respectful, kind and generous in the real world apply their philosophy wherever they go and in whatever they are doing. Even in games where nobody knows who they are.
  10. Snipers. Hate to break it to ya since you've already seen the whole IA story but there doesn't seem to be as many snipers around as any of the other ACs. Of course that's just from my own perspective, but having a 50 sniper myself I do pay attention to others of my class and it just doesn't feel like there are enough of my peers representing.
  11. +1 Very well said. In fact I'm going to use the last sentence for my sig
  12. Your response here is a very clear reflection of your core. The other guy is right...you don't get it.
  13. You're right. But you're also not an angry eKid threatening to go afk because you can't cherry pick your battles any more. The penalty won't have any effect on you regardless, assuming you won't be back before your penalty timer expires in the case of an on call emergency. That being said, you have my respect.
  14. If you're going to sit in a warzone like a turd by all means, do it. It will only give BioWare more reason add measures to penalize afkers and griefers. We will be much better without you.
  15. I keep hearing the same thing over and over again from the same few people on this thread... "If I can't win, I quit. And I just can't lose. I can tell when I'm going to lose because everyone here but me is a loser. Trust me I just know it. I'm special and I deserve to be surrounded by winners who will win and everyone else can suck it. The game even lets me quit so I can win, therefore BioWare thinks I am a winner for being a quitter and thusly so I am not a loser like all of you naive idiots that think good sportsmanship will help you win. I have never ever lost a warzone, well, except for the times I only stayed because I was 100% sure we would win but we didn't. That's because the other team probably had more quitters than we did. LOL whoever came up with the phrase quitters never win really has no idea what they're talking about. He was probably a baddie anyways lololol." Of course not anyone has really said any of that. But that's generally what it translates to in my opinion. The quitters are lucky that it has been like this for as long as it has. I seriously wonder where we are headed as a society when there are people literally whining that they will no longer be rewarded for taking their ball and going home. Man up for God's sake.

  17. This here is just about everything I've wanted to say in this thread but better. Good post.
  18. The very second you sign up for a warzone, you've commited yourself to the duration of the match regardless of the random warzone you end up in or the circumstances following. You should not be able to cherry pick your battles in the hopes that you will find circumstances that suit your own selfish needs. You should not get to endlessly quit and requeue in the hopes that you will be carried by a better team. So many kids on this thread with entitlement complexes, you'd swear you were at an Occupy BioWare protest.
  19. I doubt it's going to be as bad as some of the childish threats you're seeing on these forums. It's called "ragequitter derangement syndrome". The people crying about the 1.2 penalty and saying they're going to afk are the same type that shows up in the forums kicking and screaming saying they are going to cancel their sub because of X or Y and never do. Sure, we'll see some afkers out there come 1.2, but they will soon be recognized by the rest of the real pvpers as trash. Eventually we will probably see some form of useful report/kick afk tool that will work and we will all be better for it. So I say let them throw their tantrums. All it means is BW will deal with their toddler rage sooner than later.
  20. It makes me laugh when I see kids acting like this. It's exactly like when a child refuses to eat his green beans. You tell him he can't have dessert unless he eats them. He throws a tantrum and tosses them on the floor. Well guess what, kiddo...you still have to eat them
  21. You know what? You're right. I don't like deadbeat pvpers. I don't like rage quitters. I don't like how they think, and I don't like how they act. And I especially don't like the ones who believe they are self-righteous enough to try and defend behavior that is detrimental to the spirit of good competition and worthy challenge. It's completely illogical and irrational to think that anyone should dare stand in their way...
