What server do you play on?

I sort of hope that 75% of the people in this thread don't get chosen to attend. I can't imagine a productive question/answer session with some of these people.

You people would complain if they took the servers down to patch, and you'd complain if they didn't take them down to patch. You can't please anyone in an MMO.

I live here in Austin, so if you don't get picked but I do-- I'll represent all of us ladies! I'll have to get a list of questions from the guys in my guild, and then get a separate group from the rest of my lady gamer buds. The boys are ALL up in arms about this whole fiasco-- would be funny if we all got a ton of stuff the ladies wanted and the boys got nothing. (snicker) <Hairstylist. No, really. My husband and I have happily gamed together for years. I'm absolutely convinced he decided I was a keeper strictly BECAUSE I gamed.

People are talking about sound effects and such, but I have my music turned almost all the way off, and the random sound effects turned down ultra low. TBH, if I was at the fleet, I'd probably not even noticed if I'd been healed.

Sometimes they give the canned response because they aren't ALLOWED to respond any other way. Patience is so important. This game is BRAND SPANKING NEW. Sooo many of the rage-crew just don't seem to understand that new game is new. I was a part of the WoW release, and that crap was buggy and unfinished-- just like almost every other MMO out there. I would love to see some of these kids deal with a sandbox MMO like Ultima Online. We made our own endgame. It's why you almost never see me freaking out when I get to end level and there isn't a lot to 'do'. Some of these folks have to be spoon-fed activities or it's not any fun. I don't mind creating my own 'end-game' for now. There's plenty to do, experience and see in SWTOR without having 900 raids I have to attend every night.

This has the opportunity to be really awesome. As I've mentioned before, true dev meet-ups that I've been a part of in other games were NOT just devs saying the same ****. They really DID listen. They really DO take into account what we want, but unfortunately, sometimes the 'fixes' aren't as easy as we assume they are. I know I intend to chat with my guild in depth about the issues that are affecting our group, and if I am chosen to attend, will try to get our concerns/questions addressed as best I can.

Ultima Online is the greatest MMO I've ever played. However, this game, thus far, has been pretty dang good. Sure, it has it's problems-- but I've been part of a TON of MMO launches, and this one has been smoother than most.

I think many of the people fussing around here have never been to a 'real' dev meet-up. These were common in Ultima Online when it was run here in Austin- and the relationships we made with the developers there were lifelong. I still talk to some of those guys, even though they've moved on to dev for different MMO's. I'm ultra excited about this, and even if I'm not chosen, I told my husband I'd love to hang out with some of the guildmaster's of other guilds, after the events are over.

Agree. Cheaper than going to the movies a single time. Cheaper than dinner. Cheaper than a bottle of the liquor my husband drinks for a week. I have zero problem with subs.
