  1. That's true. Heck if I really wanted to compare cost to entertainment value, I can forgo buying either games, go to Amazon and buy a stack of XBox 360 games for the same money. In seven years time, the same deal will most likely be available for this game.
  2. Ziost Shadow to be specific. It's one of the ships, via the inter-fleet transport system on the Imperial Fleet. For Republic, you go to the bridge floor of the Gav Daragon, and take the unmarked elevator at the south end of the map.
  3. No they didn't. They didn't rush you at all. You rushed yourself. I never felt a need to level. I wasn't even paying attention because I was enjoying combat, and the story so much. I've been playing since day one early access, and I hit fifty maybe three weeks ago.
  4. Outside of gold selling and griefing, I really could not care less why anyone plays this game. It's their fifteen dollars a month.
  5. I agree, it was really well implemented, just like the magenta color crystal. It's also something you need a group of people for and requires coordination and teamwork, outside of a combat situation. Stuff like this makes me smile. I look forward to more hidden features like this.
  6. Look. No. It's not a buzzword. It's only a buzzword to people who don't know how to present an idea with a shred of dignity. I'm an artist. As such, constructive criticism has allowed my talent to grow. Telling someone they fail, and that something sucks, only makes you look glib and thoughtless. No one cares. Tell my why something sucks, and do it in a way that makes you look like your opinions had an ounce of logic, or thought behind them. This isn't a buzzword, this is common *********** sense. This is how adults deal with each other, how professionals deal with each other.
  7. Yes because "blow us a way" clearly means "save the game", and clearly, the game needs "saving" because you don't personally like it. We should all be so thoughtful, and modest.
  8. Wrong. People post constructive criticism, because they want the game to be good. People sit on the forums pronouncing this game dead, or a failure (sorry a "fail"), to see their own words and to make people who disagree angry,
  9. Magenta, which produces a pink blade. http://www.swtor-spy.com/guides/advanced-magenta-crystal/1123/
  10. Your armor will change over the course of the game as you become stronger. Some gear derives their statistics from modification items, by replacing them with stronger mods, you can keep certain gear until end game. As for Mandalorian armor, I think Bioware removed it from the game, there are some sets that look similar, but the actual Mandalorian set, I think isn't in the game right now. If I remember correctly it was "social gear" which you can buy after your social rank is high enough (you get social points from participating in conversations that have dialogue choices, while in a party)
  11. The concensus is, that purple is in end game Imperial weapons and/or PVP weapons. The Republic having light blue/cyan.
  12. Woah! Let's not go insulting Jawas like that ok? monkey Lizard is more appropriate. Like Salacious Crumb. All that little **** did was laugh at people but ultimately it was a harmless muppet. Maybe Jar Jar, he was essentially trolling Star Wars for three prequels. then again so was George Lucas
  13. I'll say it again, Bioware has set up a great opportunity to not (publicly) fail with this event. After the summit, Stephen Reid can post this : *Everyone then thanks Bioware for the guild summit.
  14. So you're basically just trolling now that you've run out of arguments. What a surprise.
  15. I'd write a response to this again, but you'd just report it. I guess that's easier.
  16. What you just wrote, is a huge logical fallacy, and if you took the time to waste mine by quoting me, you should have also taken the time, to read my other posts on why such reasoning is erroneous. I'm not repeating myself for you. P.S. It's called choosing the people most likely to have influence over the largest number of players, and buttering them up with a payed vacay, and one on one with the devs. Then after the fact, when people complained, opening it up to others, who get to pay for the luxury of telling a dev directly, that guild banks are neato, and PVP sucks.
  17. That's a good question and sadly, one that Stephen Reid will never answer (probably because it's a good question). They hid this info for a reason.
  18. The thing I'm worried about now, is the way Bioware has this event set up, any real improvement can be pinned to this summit as the cause. Anything after the summit can be attributed to the summit, if Bioware's PR team wanted to. It would be one thing, if all the information to be gathered, wasn't already gathered by other sources. This sets an unhealthy precedent, that the same ideas weren't considered until everyone sat down in chairs. We have no real way of knowing what the summit accomplished, after the fact. If I post over and over that the UI bug where the mouse no longer clicks anything, and a guild leader says the same exact thing at the summit, and after the summit the bug is hotfixed, the summit can take all the credit. that's what I'm seeing now. Problems that have been eloquently presented numerous times over the course of a year, being reiterated at a fancy summit, THEN being fixed. People thank the summit, because it was presented as an event with more public exposure. Kind of like how a person at a meeting comes up with a great idea, but only the guy next to them heard it, and before the first person can say it again, louder, the guy who heard them yells the idea and everyone praises him.
  19. I will never see eye to eye with someone who accepts PR, at face value, on the HOPE that something good will come of it. I want the game to do better. I do hope this ends in failure though. I really do. Because it's stupid. Then they can start focusing on fixing their problems, like so many other game developers have done before without incident.
  20. 1. No you didn't. 2. When it also applies to yourself and #1 above.
  21. Then what is the point of the summit? If anyone can just chime in, why waste the money? That destroys ALL claims of filtering negative or non-constructive opinions. As it stands, we have the exact same situation we have now, only a few of us get a payed vacation to Austin to meet the developers.
  22. Maybe, you don't know that. If you can prove it. You implied it. Otherwise it wouldn't have even been brought up. It's a non factor. Other game companies have dealt with forums without need of summits for over a decade. So? Is that limited to a small number of people who can get more involved, or that a personal choice anyone can make? EDIT: There are several online therapy websites and studies are going on as we speak of anonymity in psychology and how it can benefit patients. Why do you think suicide hotlines are so successful. Depressed teenagers have an easier time opening up to a peer over the phone. http://dawnsutton.suite101.com/internet-counseling-a213809 People may be less condescending face to face, but anyone who knows how the human mind works and how society has functioned for centuries knows that they aren't as honest.
  23. Oh thank you adjusting my post to reflect the blindingly obvious, because you have no real argument other than "That's your opinion". While ignoring the fact that such an action ALSO APPLIES TO YOUR PERCEPTION, which by the way, is being fed to you by a PR machine. So aside from telling me what I can't possibly not know, do you have anything of real merit to say? Or are you just fanboying it up?
  24. 1. Right, I'm sorry if you think people aren't condescending in person and the only way Bioware can garner such info is by showing blatant favoritism toward a small chunk of players they assume will be intelligent, polite and not totally enamored with the whole process. The thing is, there are tons of non condescending posts all over these board, you're assuming Bioware is too lazy, incompetent or stupid to somehow glean the information from them because the condescending ones are just too gosh darn distracting. At least that's what I'm getting from you. Because this entire event isn't also a condescending concept. 2. and yet EVERYONE VOTES and they do it anonymously. Those campaigns are done by those in charge. Ultimately the votes are what the common folk are involved in. That's our part. 3. Yes i did mention psychology, I also studied it, and spoke to psychologists enough to know that psychologists can take years, or even decades, to get a patient to actually open up and provide the information they need to heal. Funny how that works.
