II have slicing on one of my alts - I probably don't make as much cash as some but there are a few ways. 1) Computer nodes out in the world. Quite a few of them and they are just free cash 2) Run lockbox missions - these give cash (slight profit) but also may quite often get you crew missions - these can sell for a decent amount of cash (depending on server could be 20K plus each) 3) Run the other missions (can't remember what they are called). These give components that can sell for decent credits (especially the purple ones)

I haven't got synthweaving at the moment but everything I have made in armormech, artifice and cybertech is not bound unless I equip it. I assume you aren't putting mods into the armours before sending them as I believe that does bind them? Also, all recipes I have received are unbound but I haven't had drops of purples so perhaps that is different?

Ok, that I don't get. Why does a particular character need to experience all content? You are the player unless this is an extreme RP experience? The only benefits for a character to do everything is if there are specific items that are quest rewards that you want -the character is just an avatar for you to play.

I had the same concerns as the op at the start of double xp. However, in reality the fact I only normally have time to play for about 6 hours each weekend means I hardly ever play without rested and so the double xp gave a relatively small additional boost. I have always been over level if I do everything so as I plan to level at least 8 characters (just starting number 4) then content I have skipped with some I will do with others -big I skip different content on different characters I will get to see everything without too much repetition of the same missions. That to me is much better than having to do every quest on every character. So, I can see where the op is coli g from but if what you like is levelling then skipping content on one character just gives the opportunity to do it fresh on another. And I was one of those people that took a break from the game - I preordered but after 2 months got fed up with some of the issues and left. Came back on Jan and have levelled 2 50's since then -even only playing a relatively small amount of time per week.

I see nothing wrong with there being times when it takes a large number of tries to RE. I could play the lottery every week for 60 years and never win. Then I watch the news and see some guy that bought his first ticket and got the jackpot. Under laws of probability it could be said that shouldn't happen. But it does, and according to the news quite often. Looking at the stats earlier in the thread there was an example of a 0.123% chance. but with, say, 500,000 users there are 615 users that would happen to - and if it hacks them off enough they will probably want to vent and post on the forum. I was RE'ing last night and was quite regularly getting dings off the 2nd or 3rd try. For the laws of probability to work others would have to be taking much longer than that. Unless anything can be shown that they are cooking the books (such as fruit machines do to ensure the correct payout percentages) then I can take this all as random probability. Forcing it so that it increases the hit rate per number of tries would actually mess up probability as the 20% average would be increased due to external measures - if you looked at their averages across the player base I would be surprised if it was much off that 20% figure with the current system. The solution proposed would actually skew that 20% upwards.

Just before lifeday I managed to get a Lego AT-AT - haven't built it yet. And just before that was the Lego Super Star Destroyer - now that is a stunning piece of art.

Wondering the same myself. Currently L39 and have nearly levelled my craft skills but do wonder why I am bothering. Think I might stop, get some cash together and maybe do them later. I don't PVP so having the "best" gear is not really necessary. Crafting just seems a time and money sink at the moment.

I assume you are aware that you get more companions as you progress so as you go through the game you will be able to choose from a number of companions as to which one you prefer to use?

Wow had some dungeons that were part of a quest chain and you couldn't continue the chain unless you grouped. I am a Jedi in this and so far have been 3 or 4 levels above most mobs even without doing much in the way of heroics - did a few early ones but haven't for a while. I think you could successfully level doing fully solo and just doing all the quests on a planet. I will find out when I level the next character.

The processor isn't enough info. Need to know memory and graphics card as well at the minimum.

I think they were required in Beta but on release they removed the requirement. They just haven't got around to redecorating yet

Bugs in big software is par for the course. Cataclysm on WoW I know had a fair few bugs in it - on a game that has been out for years. Windows, Office, Mac OS, etc all have bugs. It is impossible to support wide varieties of hardware and user types and features without having some bugs. What will be interesting will be to see if in 4-8 weeks time how many bugs have been fixed. Bugs are a way of life - not as if you can even spend £50K on a car and have it not have the occasional "bug".

Pretty sure you don't need mod stations. You can view and remod items from anywhere.

PTLD also exists you know... You Sith think you have to make all the hard decisions. I've killed what seems like thousands of people already. OK, occasionally I get to feel all good by saving one super evil dudes life and he might turn to the light side but I will have killed about 100 soldiers to get to him - why did I let him live, when he was running the show, and yet killed all those soldiers who were doing what they were told just so they could send some money back to their families to feed the kids??? It would be so much better to go dark and actually kill the enemy leaders rather than letting them live.

Mostly playing solo although did do most of the early heroics. However, tend to find that most people only start doing heroics fairly late in the day and I don't want to start a long heroic late on as I am afraid I need my sleep - so haven't done any heroics in the last week.

Wouldn't think you should have issues with that build. Only thing I can suggest is if you know someone with a better graphics card to try and borrow it to see if it helps. I would think the rest of the system should be OK.

Enjoying the stories. Feels more immersive than WoW as you don't read a wall of text when you get a quest - much prefer the cut scene style. Not sure I "love" it but it is definitely a good use of my spare time

Level 34 at the moment. And yes, I plan to level a number of characters to 50 - both republic and empire. Want to see how the different story lines pan out. I don't play for the "endgame" but prefer the act of getting there.

Bought the speeder skill as soon as it was available. Am about 150K credits at the moment and am level 34 so on course for getting the level 40 riding. However, I haven't done much in the way of crew skills because they don't seem to make me any money. All of my income pretty much has come from questing.

Are all your companions suitably equipped? Can you not buy lockboxes with them and sell of the contents?

It's very mixed in the UK. For £12.50 a month I get truly unlimited 10Mb/1Mb. My parents because of where they live pay £17 a month to get 60GB. If you live in a village then Internet tends to be more expensive and limited download but if you live close enough to a city then you can usually get better options. But, many plans have limits - the exceptions are the truly unlimited ones on some exchanges. And Fibre is only available to a small percentage of exchanges (although covers a reasonable percentage of the population). My exchange with other 20,000 residents will hopefully have some fibre by the end of next year. But it's likely that not all houses will be enabled so have to wait and see if I am one of the "lucky" ones. I also suspect the situation in the states is not as straightforward as this thread suggests. I know some areas have great cable access but may have a limited number of suppliers? Other areas I believe are poorly served with low speed lines at high cost?

Not that I should admit this but I used to play WoW. On WoW I created bank characters. They set in a capital city and everything I wanted to sell on auction house I mailed to them, they sold it, and if I needed money I just mailed it from the banking character to the main character. Anyone tried the same thing with GTN on SWTOR? I haven't bothered yet as getting to fleet is fairly straightforward but thinking about it this may save me a bit of time. Presumably you can mail unbound items to another character for them to put them on GTN?

I don't seem to be making myself clear... If I am on the fleet station and turn on the vendors in the main map (the full screen one) then they all appear. As they should. Same if I turn on class trainers, crew trainers, etc. However, if I turn on the GTN then it doesn't appear. If I hover over where I know they are with the magnifying glass then they don't appear. However, if with the map on I run down towards them then as I get closer the first (closest to me appears). The 2nd one only appears as I get almost around the corner to arrive at the first. It is definitely a bug. I will try the UI reset later when I get a chance but I have had this problem since I started playing and did try a UI reset early on. Really difficult to find a GTN on a planet if you have to be within about 20 metres for it to even show up on the map. I only use GTN on the fleet station because I have found it - can't be bothered to try and find it on planets.
