  1. Same here. When I clicked the quest objective in the end it didn't count for my groupmate. They had to exit the instance and create their own. Also, the CZ-198 Weekly seems to be missing from the terminal.
  2. Yeah. How about they compensate us by finally implementing some chat bubbles? You know, the ones they've been promising us since launch over four years ago?
  3. Any news on chat bubbles? Surely Bioware could have figured out how to implement them by now. And them eating 400MB of video memory (which was the only reason they ran poorly on some systems that only had 256, 512 or 768MB of video card memory - although if you applied the same fix you did for nameplates before release it would take less!) shouldn't be much of a problem anymore anyway, since almost everyone has a video card with 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 or even 12GB of memory nowadays. Thus Bioware could just be lazy and take the chat bubbles feature from Beta without any big problems. Bioware, what's keeping you from adding an option to enable chat bubbles? Surely in almost four years there should have been a small opening to schedule finally adding this feature so many have been waiting for, right? You promised it, remember? Even MMOs that never promised chat bubbles or even said outright they would not add them have added them now (ESO, for example), why not you who promised them so long ago? Would you please respond and stop ignoring this, devs?
  4. You know what would also help a little? A global ignore list that works for all characters on the account.
  5. Super, I'd prefer an earlier start time as well, but will fly. Hopefully there'll be a bunch of pilots available for the event.
  6. I'd love to level up through class stories only just like it was during the Shadow of Revan pre-order. A legacy-wide unlock for players with a certain legacy level would be ideal.
  7. When can we finally expect chat bubbles to be added for players /say, /yell and /emote chat? It's time to officially put them somewhere on the road map so we can at least know when the game will finally be playable for those of us who like to watch the graphics of the game when socializing and roleplaying instead of staring at a chat window and having a hard time to see which name that says something says something in the seemingly "lifeless" game world!
  8. So I heard the "roleplay expansion" arrived, thus I resubscribed to the game, thinking they've finally addressed roleplayers' top concerns (I was told by other players they would, but it turned out it was wishful thinking on their part). So I log in and boy was I wrong. Still no chairs to sit on properly by clicking on them not even in these cash-grabs of strongholds where it would have been easy to add them (and no, the /chair emote isn't a good solution there are countless issues with that and it rarely lets you sit properly on a chair, couch or other seating), and the biggest disappointment is that there are still no chat bubbles! After over 2 and a half years of promises. Shame on me for thinking Bioware would finally get it right for roleplayers. I've cancelled my subscription again in disgust and won't be coming back until I have definite proof that chat bubbles are in.
  9. My subscription expires in two days. I have cancelled my subscription and won't renew it because there are no speech bubbles. As a socializer and roleplayer I simply can't enjoy playing the game without them. I also won't play the game as free to play, as it makes no sense to me. Only if people stop playing will Bioware/EA finally realize that speech bubbles are an important feature that should have topmost priority to be implemented and not just pushed back for every stupid little idea they have. When will you finally deliver on this feature that's so incredibly important to a large part of your player base and an even larger part of those potential subscribers still waiting in the wings until you finally implement it? Stop making up stupid excuses, take speech bubbles off the wall of crazy and into a design document and implement them already! I am planning to resubscribe and play the game once speech bubbles are implemented. Note, however, that the longer it takes, the less likely it will be that I'll return and ever give Bioware/EA any of my money again. For Glzmo and all the other wonderful people that have been fighting for this essential feature to be implemented, keep up fighting the good fight! I hope your efforts will be bearing fruit soon. When they do, we'll see each other again. I'm hereby signing off until the day speech bubbles for spatial chat are in the game. Farewell!
  10. Where did you get the idea it would be forced? This thread is about a toggle option to enable chat bubbles. Nothing else. If you'd have read the quotes in the top post, you'd know that the developers already said "whenever we do them, they'll be toggleable.". Gotta love the naysayers that barge in and post against something when they haven't even read the first post properly. Besides, the implementation they had during beta had a toggle option as well, and judging by Bioware's track record in TOR, they will eventually use the option as it was in beta without any big changes anyway, just like they have done with dynamic shadows, unify colors and other things in the past.
  11. I beg to differ. I doubt anything else on the to do list for the UI team should have higher priority than speech bubbles. Everything else that was really important UI wise has been implemented already, after all. And there are countless people that agree.
  12. Exactly. Speech bubbles are a must have feature in an MMORPG like this. I don't understand how Bioware, EA and LucasArts don't understand that.
  13. I have only one question that's on my mind: When will we finally see the much requested, often promised, yet still undelivered speech bubbles for /say, /yell and /emote chat in the game? We've been waiting for almost a year for this important feature that is essential for communication between players, socializing and roleplay. It's about time you ultimately delivered, don't you think?
  14. It's good to see you are saying listening to the players, Bioware. But why didn't you listen to the test server testers that told you that and ensured you'd patch in four quickbars for preferred status players? At least you're making amends. I won't be really convinced that you do listen to the players, however, until you announce that long-requested features like chat bubbles (including a toggle option) (have been requested and promised by Bioware representatives to be "top priority" and added "soon" over and over again for almost a year now!) to be finally patched into the game for everyone to use! It's perhaps the oldest gripe there is with this game, with many current and also new and returning players being repelled by the lack of chat bubbles and I've seen many a player that gave the game another chance for free to play leave it again because this essential communications feature is missing.
  15. More than 1000 replies...when will Bioware finally come here and discuss the topic? At 2000? When can we finally expect to see chat bubbles in the game? The lack of communication is ridiculous.
  16. Bioware, please give us speech bubbles in our next patch! The game is almost unplayable from a social perspective without them!
  17. Will speech bubbles be in on Thursday's free to play patch? Many of my friends would like to know, as they'll only give free to play a chance if speech bubbles are available for spatial chat.
  18. There are plenty of people that share this feeling and opinion. I'm one of them, as my comfort level while playing without speech bubbles is probably even below 25%. Adding this "little" feature alone would go such a long way and would probably raise my comfort and enjoyment level while playing this game to around 80%. The remaining 20% could be raised by adding some other quality of life features, but speech bubbles would make the biggest positive impact for me by far.
  19. Agreed. And in a social, communication and casual player scope in general as well. I'm afraid the free to play launch will do far worse than it would if speech bubbles where there for spatial chat. Thus I hope they'll add them next.
  20. It's Halloween and still no chat bubbles and not a single word by the developers on them. Can't they at least tell us something?!
  21. Yes. SWG was awesome and is still largely unmatched for it's social, communication and roleplay features. Bioware should have strived to emulate them and combine them with TOR's strong points and TOR would have been a much better and well-rounded game. All the things SWG did well, TOR is lacking, and SWG was lacking the good things about TOR. Combine them and add polish and you'd have a killer MMORPG like no other. Perhaps the next Star Wars MMORPG in 4-9 years (when EA's exclusive Star Wars MMORPG deal expires) will learn enough from both it's predecessors SWG and TOR to finally deliver the experience all Star Wars fans have been craving for. Note that I still hope that TOR will add things like speech bubbles and everything else that made SWG great to reach the great potential this game has. Admittedly, it still boggles my mind how TOR could simply ignore all the wonderful things about it's predecessor, as well as the many mistakes the developers of SWG made instead of learning from them and doing it better. In my opinion, ignorance as well as bad design and development decisions like this are of the big reasons this game hasn't met expectations and is on a path to failure not even one year past release.
  22. Please tell me speech bubbles are still coming even after the recent layoffs.
  23. It better be 1.5 or even earlier. It's brutal not to be able to play the game properly for a socializer like me.
  24. So, what's the word? Will speech bubbles be in the next patch? What are the plans, Bioware?
  25. Many players really need speech bubbles to enjoy their game, especially us socializers and roleplayers. It's a must-have feature for us, just like being able to attack other players is a must-have feature for PVPers. Thus it really needs to be implemented. If you want speech bubbles including the obligatory option to toggle them off, please also post in support in the following thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=41864 Thank you very much!
